what is all that, diana? I couldn't really tell from the pics. Looks interesting.

I'm home and had 2 vodkas w/ a splash of guava juice. The San Diego weather gods rewarded me with desert like temps...so it feels like i never left. Woke up to the kitten purring in my face and kneading my boobs so I knew I was back home.

Great fall day today, sun out, fall colors. Late afternoon on the back patio with a good read and a cup of coffee.

Awesome dinner. Started with some oysters (kumamoto)on the half shell (I made a lovely frozen champagne mignonette) then we had steamers(manilla clams) with a perfectly seared scallop and an Alaskan King crab leg. I served it with rjerk oasted broccolini and Asiago filone. Of course there was a nice bottle of white. Who needs to go out to dinner when you can eat like this at home.

So I bought some pumpkins cider. Kind of weird and I am not sure if I like it or not. . I also bought an Angry Orchard variety pack (i really like all of them.). I plan on enjoying some while watching Doug's team this morning (Seahawks) and the best team ever (Broncos) this afternoon. Some where in there I will make a killer meatloaf loaded with vegies.

Have an awesomely lushy day all.

Ever since I got sick so bad that last trip, I haven't been able to eat seafood. I hope at some point that goes away, but I'm afraid it'll be like that one booze you got deathly sick from....you can never go back to it again. :ohwell:

80 degree temps here...we grilled chicken, sweet white corn (which is still good here) and I had vodka/poms. I worked out for the 1st time since returning from vacay and am very sore. Avoiding the scale until tomorrow. :noway:

So much has happened since I last visited about 2 months ago! Kat, Preggos!! Congrats, so happy for you! Robin, grandchild! So special....you are so proud! Hello everyone, I've been on a hellava trip.....work related.

That new job....DDS reception...there is a wicked witch of the West for an office manager. Whew, let me tell you after 4 months there, she sure didn't like me picking up on some of her mistakes on the books. And my subtle comments on how she teaches.....one does not have to be talked down to when learning a completely new field..... Anyway....after her giving me notice that I should leave in 2 weeks, now that is changing. The office managers meeting with the heads at the corp. office on Friday seems to give way for a job for me in accounting there. Cool. I think. She seemed nervous telling me about that. Only could wonder that she talked about me, and other jobs came up for me to fill. Which is too cool. I have great attendance, attitude etc. Patients loved me. I am learning something so different than other jobs I had (primarily mechanical engineering), that it would take more that 4 months to learn. Anyway.....see what happens this week. I should be getting a call from main office to meet and greet. Oh boy. Thanks for listening. It's been so crazy, I haven't' been on here. But glad I lost a couple of pounds when I logged that today.

The :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: well, that seems to be way up on the weekends, Friday and Sat. and Tues night as now I have Wednesdays off. (Everyone works 4 days, 10 hours and gets a day off.) I had Fridays but the other business assistant that was there for 3 years bailed so now I have Wed. off.
Thanks for reading, I could go on and on. Cheers.....!!! On my 3rd tequila and dt. 7-Up. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, but will keep a professional face going.

    :) Pam

I drank Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but managed to moderate rather well and even took breaks during all day drinking Saturday.

Friday: 1/2 bottle rose', Sam Adams Oktoberfest while waiting on carryout, glass of sauv blanc
Saturday: 2 Becks Oktoberfest at the art fair (had my first at 11am), vodka and soda, probably 3 glasses of rose', 1/2 bottle of pinot
Sunday: mimosas = probably 1 bottle + a little, 2 glasses of white wine

I had a great weekend and got to spend time with some great friends. My childhood BFF who is still a close friend has a 4 week old little girl so I took my 20 month old over to meet her yesterday and we had wine. It was really nice. We've decided they'll be BFFs too.

I'd like to have a couple 0's this week, but I'm in this new mindset where I'm just trying to be more mindful of everything - eating and drinking. It seems to be working. If I know I'm trying to restrict something, it's like I want it even more......

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

I drank a bottle of wine on Friday, and maybe 1-2 beers. Then on Saturday, I drank 1/2 a pumpkin ale & hubby had to drink the rest. I had a horrible headache that wouldn't go away on Saturday, so that prevented further drinking, but I am okay with that!

I've decided I like limiting myself to just drinking one night a week, even though I Tend to overdo it a little bit that night. I feel better the rest of the week with all 0's. Trying to get myself back into a workout groove! Cheers to that!!

    Happy Monday everyone!

Over did it with the vodka on Friday. Was better on Saturday, and just one beer on Sunday. Scales up on Monday. :explode:

Need to change my mindset to get the scales going in the right direction. Reading all of the groups posts on their triumphs and tribulations is a help!

Have a great week all! :flowerforyou:

    That said...maybe some wine tonight!

Decided that cider sounded good last night, so we put the kiddo in the stroller and walked to the liquor store. Got a 4 pack of Crispin (they were out of Mangers) and one each of Angry Orchard apple ginger and elderflower. We split the apple ginger. It was good, but I probably wouldn't want more than half. Then I had a Crispin. I probably will get a bottle of red wine on my way home since tomorrow is my day off.

    I LOVE FALL!!!

Got a great workout in this morning then walking to the hair salon after work...think that deserves some wine

    Hi Lushies....

Another busy weekend and another coming up...

My baby is turning 12 and we will be celebrating, funny how an oops doesn't turn out to be so bad. Nicholas is a sweet, kind and thoughtful. He's frugal with money and generous at the same time. He loves football, baseball and bowling. A great package overall.

Ashley said it best...once I try to restrict myself, I want it all the more!! I do have to say the zero's are getting easier. I've decided summers lead to increased drinking.

Monday, 1 glass of wine while watching Hostages
Tuesday, 3 - going out with girlfriend to see a movie version of a Def Leppard concert and apps. I'm not really into this movie but going because she is so excited to go.
    Wednesday, 0
    Thursday, 0
    Friday, drinks - beers
    Saturday, drinks

boys are the sweetest, kim

I am trying to get back into a groove after the week away and am not very motivated. Up 2 lbs but still hanging onto most of the weight loss from when I was sick. If I can ever get back into exercising I should be ok.

Lots on Sunday..I agree kim..the warm summer weather makes me drink more.
    0-Monday

Maybe some wine today? meeting sil for lunch at the beach

Zippo- I really liked the ace of spades lighter, but I think I like this one even better...fits the season.

I have been drinking almost every night, not a lot but enough to stall my weight loss and get these two extra pounds I gained over the summer off. Plus I have been on a sugar kick which is also not helping. Why can't I have my alcohol and eat my cake too?smiley-angry016.gif

So last night....large pinepple vodka and sprite zero, a beer, then ANOTHER large pineapple vodka and sprite zero. Still got to bed early and feel decent today, so win-win.
Not sure about tonight, maybe vodka, maybe wine, maybe nothing...we shall see. Only one more night without my Lenny!!!

    Friday, drinks - beers
    Saturday, drinks

I ended up having a great time with gf at the Def Leppard Movie. It was a filming of their last US tour in Las Vegas. The movie theater only had about 15 people in it. So, we pretended we were at the concert and danced and fist-pumped the whole time. Oh, and I brought some sugar to sprinkle each other when the song "Pour Some Sugar on Me" played. My girlfriend's husband was a good sport to put up with us. All in all, a great night. I went to bed way, way too late.

In a rut. Not motivated and the scale is just laughing at me:laugh: . I need a swift kick in the butt. I think about what I need to do but when it comes time to do it I don't want to:noway: . I am hoping that when I get back from visiting my daughters and granddaughters I will be motivated to lose some serious poundage before Christmas.

Vodka and pom last night. I really need to get back to working out again. I am a big fat slug right now and I hate slugs.

    Have an awesome day.

You can do it Mama Lush

Zippo- LOVE the new pic, very fitting for this month =]

Had my first ultrasound on Monday and it is amazing how clearly and how much you actually get to see on them. Definitely made it all very real. I go for my second ultrasound on November 14th when we will hopefully find out the gender of the baby =] I'm dying to know. Last Friday we went out to dinner with husbands sister and her boyfriend who already knew I was pregnant but we finally told Kelly. The guys had lots of wine and husband actually got drunk and before we went to bed he hugged me and whispered "I love you....and the lemon." That was the size of the baby last week  We have been keeping track week to week what size the baby is in relation to fruit. It's cute because then husband just refers to the little one as said fruit.

On the lush front I sort of miss wine when I'm with those having it but not nearly as much as I thought. Fall beers on the other hand are hard to watch people enjoy but they will be amazing next year :drinker:

Hope everyone is doing well :flowerforyou:

so we had rain here...not just rain but like our neighbors lit up the fireplace kind of rain! It's in the low 50's and we go nuts here...next week is back in the upper 70 's :drinker:

Syd, temps are in the 50's here today and rain is in the forecast for pretty much the rest of the week....its putting a damper on my sunday hike...fingers crossed it holds out!!!

Tuesday - pumpkin beer at dinner, 1/2 bottle of red
Wednesday - a cider, probably a little over 1/2 bottle of red, vodka with cran and OJ
Thursday - going to my BIL's for dinner, so will probably grab some beer or a bottle of wine
Friday - friend in from STL. We're making pizzas. I'm gong to make dirty martinis for happy hour. Who knows what else....
