Starting height weight (by my home scales that I've always weighed on) 5'5", 133pds.

Week 8- (my scale, 135) (doctors scale, 140) HATE the doctors scale!
Week 12- (my scale, 138) (doctors scale, after eating lunch, 144)
Week 16- (my scale, 140) (doctors scale, after breakfast, 147)

I always weigh myself at home first thing in the morning, nude, and after I've used the bathrom so I know the doctors scale with clothes and after eating will be more (at least I hope). Anyone else do this? lol All in all, I guess you can say I've gained 5-7 pounds at 16 weeks. Which is MORE than what I wanted but the way I look at it if I gain 1lb a week for the next 24 weeks it will still be in the 25-35 range. Crazy to see the scale change considering I've ate less AND healthier than I ever have due to lack of appetitie and I've continued working out. Anyone else seeing THIS prob as well? I'm hoping to stay 160 or below throughout my whole pregnancy. I started 10lbs more (but a lot healthier) than I was 5 years ago with my first pregnancy and I only gained around 20 with my daugher but lost very quickly. I hope to do the same this time!

I never go by the scale in my midwife's office. I just tell her the # I saw on my scale that morning. I also saw a lot of weight gain despite eating healthy and working out 4-5 days a week. At 28 weeks i am up about 19 lbs. I hope to only gain 25 lbs, but i am not sure if its possible at this point. I know that as long as i am doing everything right the weight will come off easily afterwards.

Prepregnancy weight: 199.2 ( I think, got preggers in July 13' which I had also started a heavy lifting program then and didn't weight, I'm thinking with the heavy lifting I may have gained as is typical.. so I use 199.2 as my starting point)
    Weeks 1-8: 199.6 (+ 0.4 oz)
    Weeks 8 - 17: 208.6 ( + 9 lbs)

    Net gain = +9.4 lbs

Goal: My goal is to stay under my max weight when pregnant with my daughter which was 240 plus, it's been over 14 years so I'm not 100% sure of the exact number but I remember 240 something when I was admitted into the hospital.

My doctor said my weight was doing good.. the app on my phone says I'm over what I should be already.. :(

allison0820, I also started lifting heavier in August..right before I found out I was preggo and have continued to do that since my doctor said it was fine for me to do so I've kinda wondered if that's some of my extra gain. I don't feel or look like I've gained weight and actually I'm not even showing yet except for my recently HUGE boobs!! I'm still in all my same clothes so I've been really surprised to see that I've gained this much already. Although Im eating healthier, I LOVE salt now so I need to be careful with that...my appetite has change so much, I went from being a sweet/fruit eater to now more meats, veggies, cheeses, salty things, etc.

You're nearly halfway. Even if you gained a pound a week from here on you wouldn't be near 240. Just eat as healthy as possible and keep exercising, even if it's more slowly. As long as all you're gaining is baby weight it'll come off again. What you don't want to do is think what you eat now doesn't matter, because it sooooo does. Keep at it and you'll be just fine!

    Start 185.5

    Weight at week 16. 3 days - 178.5 ( -7)
    Week 19- 180.0 (-5.5)

I always lose at first just started walking again every other day. Hoping that I can avoid pre-e for the 3rd time......my goal is to stay under 200 and I would really like to stay below 195 or 190 if I am really lucky. Things go down hill when I hit 190 for some reason so I am just going to keep walking every other day. Ultrasound this next week!

Just not feeling food right now. These weights are based on a scale I have been weighing myself on since before I got PG. I had lost a pound at my appt last week. She seemed a little concerned, but since I still have all day naseau she understands that I haven't been up to eating much. I can't wait to finally feel a little better. Hoping that will be soon!!!! This is getting old.

Thank you. I aimed to eat at maintenance the whole way through, but I did go over when hungry. Maintenance was 2140 but somedays (more frequently towards the end) I consumed 3500+. I also carried on walking upto my delivery date, at least 40 minutes a day for 5 days a week.

  • Starting weight 115 @ 5'4. Now at 21 weeks and 4 days I weigh 126.4! I've gained over 2 pounds this week alone and I still have a few days until I hit 22 weeks :( I have started eating even healthier and drinking even more water..... Has anyone else experienced bigger gains during the 20's weeks? I'm kinda feeling out because I generally eat pretty healthy.

Another 2 pound gain this week, luckily my entire body grew so I can see the difference. Not feeling too great about it though, and on top of that I had a doctor's appointment this morning and I have gained 7.5 pounds in a month, plus I'm slightly anemic. I knew when I finally gained weight it would be rapid, but I wasn't quite prepared for 2 pounds a week! At this rate I'll be heavier than I was with my first and I started lighter with this one. Time to really get serious and start logging/exercising again.

    Prepregnancy weight: 163.8
    Weeks 1-8: Continued to lose
    Weeks 8 - 19: 159.8
    20 weeks: 162.2
    22 weeks: 164.6
    23 weeks: 165
    25 weeks: 166
    Net gain = +2.2

    Goal: Just stay under 200!

OK so here we are at almost 26 weeks and my scale broke... so technically I have no idea, but I was 170.8 at my midwife office and they've consistently been 5lbs over my morning weight, and also showed only a half pound gain from my 21 weeks appointment... so I'm going to go with 166.

I have a short term goal of not hitting 170 until December, but if this little guy has a growth spurt, then so be it :)
  • 22 weeks today and weigh 124.8 @ 5'4 starting weight was 115. My weight fluctuates like crazy! But since eating cleaner I have actually lost 2 pounds unintentionally since last week. I'm eating a more low carb high fat diet and it seems to be stabilizing everything for now LOL. I'm certainly not dieting to lose weight I just want to eat healthier foods for the baby :)
