Ha! It would certainly seem that way! Scarily, the major chocolate consumption is probably still to come: We move in less than 2 weeks, approximately 2 weeks from Baby's due date. Stress much?
After more strategic consumption yesterday (as opposed to whatever food made it to my mouth willy-nilly), I am glad to report 2 lbs. less bloat this morning -- I weighed in at a more reasonable 135.0 lbs. Must. keep. going.0 -

Cheers Jaylas_Mom21!
MommyShortLegs - moving two weeks before your due date is a sure way to put yourself into labour! Just you be careful, it's all too easy to think I'll just move this box or chair or bed. You go take yourself shopping that day and let hubby do all the work!0 -

Stats:
23 yrs old, 5 foot 2, 125 lbs pre-pregnancy, at 22 weeks 140.6 lbs.
As I have said before, weight gain during pregnancy is a mystery to me. This month I gained about 4 lbs (double the amount i wanted to gain) yet my measurements like my bust, waist, under navel, and hips have stayed the same. Where those 4 lbs went to, i have no clue cuz i cant see them anywhere except on my scale. Could some of it be muscle, water, baby...? I hope next month the scale will be in my favor since i am 22 weeks and up about 15 lbs. I only want to gain 10 more in the next 18 weeks. Any insight?0 -

All you can do is eat right and stay active. If you're doing that, absent starving yourself, what is going to stop your body from gaining what it wants to? I know it's super frustrating and if you go back through my posts I throw up my hands sometimes and just go...what the HECK?! But everyone gains different amounts at different rates. It is entirely possible yours will slow down a lot the third trimester. You may only gain 10lbs - but if your body feels like it needs more weight it's going to gain it. Mentally it isn't easy to accept, I know. It really really isn't.
One thing I do know is that women on the GD diet tend to stop gaining, and while you're too early to know if you're GD or not I've heard that most women can actually benefit from that particular way of eating (it is not calorie restrictive and that may throw you at first).
Finally...It's worth talking to your doctor if you feel your weight gain is unhealthy. In my opinion you're doing fine and some women just gain more while pregnant (which sucks, I know, but weight gain while pregnant is only controllable to a certain extent - if you are overeating and binging you're going to gain more, but if you're not...?). I had wanted to gain no more than 20 this pregnancy and well...I hit that almost 3 weeks ago. So I do get the mental aspect being very challenging.0 -

OMG - I am have gained soooo much weight already. I shouldn't be surprised. My last 3 pregnancies I had the same rapid weight gain - but I started at a much lower weight the last 3 times.... I have been feeling very nauseous and have been carb overloading to try to settle my stomach - so lots of toast, muffins, cookies, etc. NOT GOOD.
I am 12 weeks and determined to start the 2nd trimester in a healthier way.0 -

This last weekend was my daughters birthday and since then I have had cupcakes and/or banana pudding every day. Once it all runs out I hope I stop gaining so fast. But my chest and belly have had a half inch growth spurt while my butt stayed the same, so at least it's going to the right place!0 -

While I have hovered in the 134-135 lb. range most of this week, overnight illness places me "conveniently" lower for this morning's weekly weigh-in -- I'm sure I'll be back up 2-3 lbs. come evening, as per usual, and don't be surprised if I'm back up to 137 (or beyond) by this time next week. Either way, my excess water weight from last week seems to have departed, and good riddance!0 -
3 weeks in a row with the same weight?
Well, that's gotta mean you would gain 4 more lbs over weeks 39 and 40! lol (If you made it that far )
I know! I looked at that and I was like...that means I'm in for a LOT of gain coming up lol. I'm not complaining - 20-25 was my goal and it looks like I should be riiiiight in there, as much as I'd really initially hoped for 20. I'm so close that quibbling over a few lbs right now seems petty, and I know if I go over it's probably not real weight this close to the end of pregnancy anyway - it's baby or water weight. So, cheers to the end!
@mommyshortlegs, I'm sorry you were sick! I know that feeling!0 -

Interesting [to me] Tidbit: Barring unforeseen circumstances — swelling/water retention, consuming exorbitant amounts of poor-quality food due to stress and busyness or simply not caring toward the end, Baby suddenly packing on the pounds or being overdue — I am currently set to conclude this pregnancy right at my original weight gain goal of 25 lbs. (and 25 lbs. under my peak weight my 1st pregnancy). No complaints here! #37w4d0

21 Weeks - Gained about 10 pounds.
Started at 150, now 159.2 (fluctuates between 159 and 161)
My first pregnancy was worse by this time. I gained 60 pounds and hit 201. I hope this one goes differently.0 -
I'm 15 weeks and still down 2 pounds from my original pregnancy weight. Dr. recommends to gain 15-25, really hoping I can stay in that range!0
-
Hi! I'm almost 32 weeks & am down another pound! That's a 4 pound gain! I started out a lot heavier than I planned but I've been working hard to not gain a bunch. I was hoping to only gain 15 or so pounds. At this rate I may weigh as much as I did w my first daughter when I deliver! That pregnancy I started out about 35lbs lighter & at the end most of my weight was fluid retention but I'm still pleased! Really excited to lose after baby comes. Logging & tracking all along will make it a smooth transition. :-) :-) :-) :-)0

Well, that's my final pregnant weigh in. Baby boy will make his appearance Monday and apparently my too-squished-to-eat stomach really just wasn't going to let me gain weight because that's 4 weeks in a row the same weight. That means 22lbs for the pregnancy - 2lbs more than I wanted, but considering I thought at different points I was headed for 30 or 40 I will definitely take it! Watching myself gain weight has been emotionally challenging, but I knew I was eating right and staying active (2 half marathons, running actively until 5 1/2 months, then walking lots of miles each week and chasing around my 4 year old). I had to in the end trust my body knew what to do and considering I stayed right around the recommendation, I suppose it did!
So strange to know he'll be here Monday. I probably won't weigh in next Friday when I would have been 40w, I'll be just home from the hospital and still not very mobile, but I'll weigh in the Friday after and let you know how post partum weight loss goes.0 -
