Just entered the third tri, where they say you usually gain 10-11 lbs. Maybe I could just maintain, but I'm learning that whatever my body needs to gain, it will gain.

32 weeks up 40-ish pounds. I say 40-ish because I seem to be losing rather than gaining. I wasn't too concerned at my last appt because I figured the 2lb loss was due to a false gain the prior appt due to bloating.....but it's been a week since then and I think I have lost more. Maybe it's time to start eating some more, baby is healthy though so who knows?!

They say weeks 20 - 28 is the timeframe for biggest gain...hopefully that's true! With this progression, I'm on a track to gain about 24 lbs. I'd like it to be under 20, but I will just do my best!

I dont know how you ladies are doing it!
I am eating the same as before plus 300 cals.... and im still working out and the weight is just packing on! No matter what I do!
I am 24 weeks today and up about 20 pounds....
This is stressing me out as I had lost about 80 pounds before I got prego! I am so scared to hit that 200 mark again!
I wanted to gain 20 the whole time! Was OK with 30! But I am NOT OK with gaining 50 pounds!
I am finding im not enjoying this because of the massive weight gain! This should be a happy time not a stressful one!

@boardergurl I'm right there with you. These 1 & 2 pound weight gains, have me amazed & baffled. I'm almost 26 weeks and have gained 20 pounds. Just keep in mind everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy, some folks get sick and lose weight, some folks are starving and find they can't stop eating, and then there's everyone somewhere in the middle. Having a healthy baby and mama post pregnancy is way more important than silly numbers. I mean sure do your best, but that's all you can do. I gained 60lbs with my last child, and all the nurses kept commenting on how nice it was to see a big healthy baby for a change. (He was almost 10lbs.) I live in NC where there is a growing amount of pre term deliveries, and low birth weights some (according to the nurses) due to mom's not eating sufficiently b/c they're worried about the weight gain. Besides even with a 60lb gain, 6 weeks post partum I was within 10lbs of my pre pregnancy weight. There will be plenty of time to worry about numbers after delivery. Good luck!!

I am 32 weeks 5 days and up 17.5 as of my midwife appt. yesterday! I am hoping to stay close to 20 for my total, and I usually lose towards the end, so I am working really hard to stay close to the 20 lb mark! I am currently measuring 2 to 3 weeks ahead... another big baby for me!
