Show Us Yer Bike...

I'm hoping this photo shows up.
My mother actually bought me this bike about a year before I got sick (so about 15 years ago). So, it's what I use even though I can't ride terrain. I suppose riding would be easier if I had a road bike, but I love my bike anyway. RIP, Mom.
Meh, photo is too small to see. It's a Schwinn anyway. I'm not very good at maintenance but the bike serves me well and I've never had a flat.0 -
Just love these old-school MTB's - look at the stem - it's like a boat's tiller!
Yep, that boat tiller is the first thing that's gonna go. I'm 5.8 with a short torso, so I'm laid out reaching the bars. It is a 135mm 7˚ stem, and I'll probably get a 60-75mm 35˚ stem. Can't bend over like I used to. This Trek was the top of the line in 1993, was the last year they made lugged frames and made them in Wisconsin, and the first year with the Ahead set. The bike is pretty much brand new, with the original saddle, tool bag, tires, everything! Only a couple chips from chain slap. No scuffs, scratches, or anything anywhere else on the bike. Even the decals are perfect.
I'll post more photos when I put the Hookworms on.

Well, I have put about 60 miles on it in the last two days and I must say, I love this thing. It's my first full carbon so that plays a huge role as well. No more riding this week since this weekend I have a duathlon and need to be rested for it.0 -
Good lookin' bike right there!0

After a few problems with this frame, I decided it was beyond economic repair. Therefore, its 'Goodbye, not so old friend'
And say 'Hello, my new friend'

Ahhh, another one of Terry's masterpieces
And sticking with the Red motif - someone else who believes "Yeah, but red bikes are faster..."*
* that's why I didn't buy a red one - I couldn't live up to the expectations anymore...0 -

From a (great) distance it bears a more than passing resemblance to its stablemate:
(I've fixed the bars now - just havent updated the picture)
I think its been scientifically proven that red bikes / cars / trainers / oven gloves are faster, hasnt it? I'm sure that without my angry paint job, I may well end up going backwards.0 -

Where do you put them all? :happy:0

there's only really 3 that are fully built up, and they are hung on the wall in the back-kitchen/utility room. Thats the Dolan, the CaadX and the Little Red 'bred. The Planet-X is now hung in the loft, sans wheels, unless I need a session on the turbo. The Kendell is on long-term loan to a mate, as is the Dynatech MTB, and the rest of the assorted frames etc, are also in the loft, in bits.0

That is rather Beautiful. Frankly, I think the thread should pretty much end at this point.0 -

End because of the show-stopping dazzle of my new ride? I'd hate to think I broke the internet with her wonder.0 -

Purely because anything else is likely to be something of an anticlimax... at least until I come up with a DeRosa Sessante Titanio SuperRecord (yeah, like that's ever likely to happen!)0 -

I must confess that the pics aren't my doing - It's an uncommon set up, and the dealer I bought it from took pictures to make it their 'Bike of the week'.0 -

I know - I was trying to change/control the display size as well, and that's the part that didn't work.0 -
My soon-to-be-mind waltworks (right click and view image/copy image url) to actually see the frame.
