    Starting weight: 156 lbs

Week 13: 160.2 lbs (+4.2 lbs) right on track
    Week 17 1/2: 162.2 (+6.2 lbs) on track
Was told by doctor to not gain more than 20 pounds my whole pregnancy and by the 20 week mark I should be around the +8lbs gained mark so I'd say I am right on track. Just been logging like crazy and exercising when I can not necessarily all at once but in pieces throughout the day where I can! Seems to be working
Calorie range has been between 1600 NET (if not feeling too good or hungry) to 2000 NET (when a bottomless pit! lol)

Had another appointment yesterday and have an updated weight again. And I remembered to weigh myself before at home so I could "calibrate" my scale and weigh myself more often.

    1st pregnancy
    Height: 5'6
    Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
    April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
    May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
    June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128

I asked the doctor if my weight gain was too low and he said he didn't care because every measurement of the baby he took was right at the 50th percentile. He also mentioned that I probably wouldn't get away with it too much longer as the baby picks up speed on growing

look at you! doing great! and its true I gain the most during 20-30weeks but then it slows down for me after 30weeks, I suppose each pregnancy is different though so things may be different for me this time, ehh. As long as baby is measuring on track and everything else is going great, that's all that counts. Weight gain is different for each momma. I usually use the weight at my home scale cause when you go to the Dr you have other things that add weight (clothes, shoes, drinking fluids in the waiting room (that's what I do LOL) ) and it usually give me 3lbs more then what I would weigh first thing in the AM no clothes and shoes on.

2 1/2 years ago I started at 60kg and gained 20kg and it felt horrible being so big in the end. I didn't look it until I was stuck in a hospital bed for a week when baby came. Now I am 16 weeks pregnant, starting at 55kg and this morning I was 56.8kg. in the first 14 weeks I gained 0-0.5kg and now its starting to add on slowly. I haven't been that good with my eating as opposed to the 6 months prior to getting pregnant when I was actually trying to lose weight as I've been maintaining/getting a little slack this year and having logged for 6ish months., and if I don't eat I feel sick so that's doesn't help either. I also havnt been for a proper run since I was about 7 weeks and its not so easy running with a heavy stroller and 15kg toddler. I don't want to over do it as Ive had blood pressure issues. But if there's one thing I've learnt, its that I CAN be good with my food and I CAN find time to exercise if I put in the effort. So no excuse for not getting back to my pre-preg weight.

    All the best ladies!

I haven't been weighing myself because I know the numbers will bother me. I have a doc appointment next week and I'm sure she will weigh me. I'm guessing I've gained 2-3lbs so far. That seems reasonable to me. I have my calls set on maintenance and that's 2200cals/day. Sometimes I don't eat that many and other times I go over. LOL. Oh well. I will worry about weight loss/gain when I have the baby.

Hi Ladies! I am 5'7, 175lbs and even before I got pregnant I weighed myself like crazy. At one point last year I had gotten down to 155 lbs. and I was ecstatic! But a lot happened in the last year and my eating habits changed and I was not eating as healthy as I should have been. I am 6w 3d today ( MY FIRST! ) and haven't gained yet. I am actually hoping not to gain any until the second trimester. I am still running 3-4 days a week (2-3 miles) but have slowed down to make sure I can breathe easy, and walk the other 2-3 days a week (3-4) miles. I am keeping my healthy eating habits on track for the most part so far but I am SO hungry all of the time now. And I find myself feeling nauseous and sick when if I wait too long to eat something. I am finding it quite difficult to keep it all in check and not overeat because I am constantly hungry. I am terrified of gaining too much weight with this pregnancy.

    Week 4: 175.3
    Week 5: 173.8

Welcome lpettrey315 - this is my first too and I understand the fear of gaining too much. I'm 15w 3d today and have gained about 5lbs which i think is fine. And i sympathise with the constant hunger - I don't seem to be able to go more than about 2 hours without being screaming hungry. My best advice (from limited experience!) is to not fret it too much - I'm eating healthy most of the time but not worrying too much when the need for something sweet, sugary and lacking in nutrition becomes too strong!

Week 17 1/2: 161.4(+5.4 lbs) on track (Doctor office scale! 18JUN14)

So doctor office scale is measuring me as lower weight than home scale so I guess that's awesome. I have only gained 5.4 pounds which is awesome and my hard work at eating in calorie range (1600 - 2000 NET calories/ day) is paying off with exercising everyday 20 minutes walk at work and 3-4 times week cardio at home (workout dvds)
Doctor said I am on track and she is proud of my efforts to keep at it . Baby is doing great steady healthy heartbeat. Can't wait till July 16th find out the gender!

Welcome! My advice as far as the constant hunger is to eat when you're hungry... but not an entire meal. I gained a ton with my son because I ate constantly, and until I was too full. This time around, I literally eat once an hour, maybe up to 2 hrs... but I do small stuff. Like cucumbers with some ranch sauce, or a handful of nuts, or some crackers with cheese or peanut butter, an apple, etc... Eating something small once an hour or so will also help with the nausea!

I've also heard that eating a diet higher in protein will help with the morning sickness as well, even though we want to reach for carbs all the time.

So... if you're hungry, eat. Don't go hungry for fear of gaining weight, you don't want to "diet" while you're pregnant... but you can keep it in check by eating healthy snacks and eating until your hunger is satisfied and NOT eating until you're stuffed. Also, drink tons of water! (I have to flavor mine with fruit, because I don't care for it plain) This will help not only with the hunger, but keep you hydrated and hopefully keep swelling down to a minimum.

(and the occasional sweets or chips or pizza, etc... is fine too! Just don't live on them. )

What!?!?!! I must have eaten too many chips yesterday, and I really hope it's the sodium... because yesterday morning when I weighed in, I was only 225. :grumble: 1.8 lbs overnight seems a bit much. But with my luck, it won't go back down.

    Pre-pregnancy: 190lbs (5'5" - Obese BMI)
    37 weeks: 205

Goal: 15 lbs (with doctor agreeing)

Looks like I will be closer to a 18-20 lbs by delivery. I think most of it will be water weight, my ankles and feet are so much puffier than they were 2 to 3 weeks ago. I ate very reasonably and exercised almost every day until the end of the third trimester. I worked very hard to keep my weight gain on track for the pregnancy. I have been exercising less and eating more junk now that I'm at the end. I fluctuate +/- 2-3 lbs due to water retention.

It was right after a birthday party, but I didn't eat any cake, just a few chips and sandwiches. Ugh. ANd today I made things worse and ate 2 slices of pizza :noway:

Haha! I did the same thing.... I drowned my sorrows in more junk food. I went back down 1 lb, but kept the other .8 lbs. Oh well. My weight has done that twice now, and both times I had eaten a snack bag of cool ranch doritos... Apparently the sodium in those really affects me, even though I drink lots of water!

I think my clean/healthy eating willpower left at the same time my morning sickness did. I ate so much better when junk food made me want to puke!

In this past week alone I have gained 2 lbs. This is a total deja vu of my first pregnancy! Last month I start adding 2-4 lbs per week. Ugh!

Starting weight: 113lb.- 5'4 - 26 years old. Had another appointment last week at 31w/3d and weighed a little less at this appointment than I did at the previous appointment 3 weeks prior! 3 weeks prior I weighed 128.7, then at the appointment I had this past Thursday I weighted 127.5, which kind of scared me. But, the doctor said everything was perfect, baby's heartbeat was strong, and my fundal height was right on track for 31 weeks (which at previous appointments it hasn't been, it's been about a week behind), she was very happy with how everything was going and she told me not to worry at all, that my weight was right on track. Whew, that made me feel a lot better. So, I've gained roughly 15lbs. so far and my doctor thinks I'll gain about 20-25lbs. total. Feeling good so far and trying really hard to exercise 5x/week and eat as healthy as I can, but I definitely give in to my sweet cravings here and there! :)
