I have been away from exercising due to illness for several months, and I'm so happy to be able to get back into it. I'm setting a goal of 50 miles for the rest of this month.
Today I did LS 2 mile express.
Goal: 50 / Remaining: 480 -

I'm new to this post but I do have several of the dvds. I did use them in the past but always stop after a couple of months. Please help me get on track. I'm 53 and need to lose at least 40 pounds (menopause is killing me). I have to start off slow due to an illness . I will start with 1 mile today and my goal will be to do at least 8 miles in my 1st 7 days.

Welcome. Just take your time and don't let your goal of losing 40 lbs overwhelm you. Walking is great for dealing with stress that menopause brings. Ask me how I know! Ha-ha. Just do what you can-as Leslie says, every step counts. Got a good group of supporters here so join in and keep walking!

Hi! I just found your group. I have several of Leslie's dvds and enjoy using them when it's too cold to walk outside. I have been using MFP for several months to track my food and exercise, and it has been a great (and FREE!) tool to help me lose weight! But I would like to get more involved in the site for encouragement and motivation. I swim as well as walk for exercise, and my walking goal for the month is 50 miles. I've walked 9 so far; 41 to go!

And, I should amend mine ... it is not 60 POUNDS, but 60 miles. Too much sugar from the holidays. As of today, I'm at 14/60. Happy walking!0 -
