Adopt. Don't encourage breeding. GREAT dogs already available and needing homes. I have 2. Couldn't be happier.

She's been great. Very sweet dog, and she helps me stay active with lots of walks and an occasional jog. The only downside to a dog, IMO, is that they can make travel more difficult, but in our case the previous owner is willing to board her when we travel, so it's pretty much perfect for us.

Good to hear...she is a beauty and has such a sweet face. Having Gertie definitely gets me outside and active, which is great. I'm really lucky in the fact that I have friends & family who are always willing to take her on the rare occasion I need to travel...but without them, it would be quite difficult. At least you have a place that you trust that you can board her when need be and know she is in good hands.

These are my kids, I actively show them and travel everywhere with them to shows.( Sorry, it's my retired life) and after losing my DH 3 years ago, they give me a reason to get up everyday and keep living :)

Gorgeous! I'm going to have a post of my APBT pup later. He's only 6 months old.

Gorgeous ! I love the really rich brindles !! My revues were brindle as were my first reg. dogs but they produced other colors in the few breedings I have done (3 in over 30 years LOL)

They are Anatolian Pyrenees cross. Both mom and dad carry a recessive black gene. Most have lightened, but I think 2 stayed black!

Really wish these boards had "like" buttons for threads like this! Such lovable dogs!

I would wear out the "like" button if there were one. You guys know about oxytocin, right? It's the hormone that bonds mother and child. They recently discovered that both dogs and humans secrete oxytocin when they make eye contact. The theory is that that's how dogs became domesticated. They are literally our babies. :)

I will have to try looking into Cinnamon's eyes the next time I am stressed or anxious to see if that works!

A long time ago they showed that 15 minutes of cuddling petting your animal lowers the blood pressure. Yours AND theirs

This is one of the few I have of our guy. Lost my computer recently with all the pictures. :( He's a labradoodle rescue. Almost gave up on him but now he's 3 and we're in agility and my friends can't believe it's the same dog.

He's on grain free kibble as well. He actually picked that out himself. As a pup it was the ONLY food he would eat. We've tried others and he doesn't like them really. Come the end of summer during ragweed season he will scratch himself sensless if he eats grains. Once a year I put him on a raw meat diet for about a month. The biggest thing we noticed was his teeth get blindingly white during that time!! He's 3 and the vet can't believe how bright white his teeth are! Not sure why but for whatever reason that month of raw just polishes up those choppers! Usually he gets pork and pumpkin or chick peas during that time. Otherwise he licks bowls of meat, gets his own steak from time to time and dad always brings chicken livers when he comes to visit! :) They do fill our lives with joy, don't they?
