Right now I am tearing it up getting ready for the Giro challenge. Went out with our Monday group. A great bunch of Senior Citizen riders that can certainly go full gas and climb. And it is a run what you brung, so flat bar road bikes, road bikes, MTB's, clipless and flat pedals. Tons of fun to go out with this group. Motto of this group is 'no rider left behind'.

@taxmon9093, wishing you days of sunshine & awesome memories!
I got in 10 on the ex bike before work this morning with plans of walking with my furries later but the wind was blowing 40 mph & my left hip is bothering me so I wimped out! "Maybe" tomorrow!

Sorry I'm jumping in here so late! It was a busy beginning of the month. I ran my first half marathon, The Flying Pig, on Sunday. It was super fun and well organized, definitely my favorite race so far. I'm very happy with my time too- 2:08. Last year if someone told me that I would be able to run that race this year I would have laughed at them. It is amazing what you can do when you put your mind to it
I'm in for 75 miles in May. Thanks for all you do!
5/1- 1.1 miles walking
5/3- 13.5 miles running
5/4- 1.1 miles walking

Congrats to clepant and angelmo8 for your half marathons. It's amazing what you can do isn't it?
anaconda I am so glad to see you found some great groups to ride with.
Tomorrow is my turn to go retrieve a college student from her dorm. I hope to have time to get a walk in before I head out. I am luckier than you Janet, I only have a 2 hour drive each way, but it's only her and I tomorrow, so I hope she is packing tonight.
Keep on moving everyone and have a great Tuesday!0 -
Late as usual. Aiming for 50 miles running this month! Here's to making it finally happen!!0

Wow...a 25 year old guy from D.C. went into cardiac arrest 300 feet from the finish line at our marathon yesterday. He was staggering and incoherent and insisted he finish the race. They got his heart started but he is still in critical condition.
May 4: 8.5 miles today. 6 miles walking behind a lawn mower and 2.5 walking
TTD: 34.6 Miles

@Dean glad to hear your knees are feeling better.
Today was beautiful and breezy...the breeze turned into a cold, hard wind by midday! We got our walk done and I got all my exercises done.
Then we drove our DD and our SIL to DD's dissertation defense, and an hour and a half later we were calling her Dr. Daughter!! We are so very, very proud of her! She has worked extremely hard for this day. We took her closest friends to dinner to celebrate. It was so much fun!
Mon - 7.89 miles
Have a grand Tuesday, everyone!
