Okay, here goes. I attempted to make a collage so they could be side by side but it took quite a bit of effort with my computers limited software for such. Had to fight file sizes and paint. Left is from when I first started, little over a month before I started weightlifting and SL. Second is after the 12 weeks of SL and a few weeks into NROLFW. Final is dress shopping. I will do some like the previous when I have a place to do it and that may be in November when I go visit family as I want to do some sports bra shots to go with the ones I have but may never post (we'll see). So, year of lifting, learning to jog and counting calories. And sorry, no smile on the selfie with the phone, lately even if I smile I look grumpy so I gave up on that, lol.

I am 57 years old. I have no idea how much I weigh now. I last weighed around 142 and my goal weight is 125. I got down to 135lbs and was a size 10. Then March 1, 2015 I started doing strong lift 5x5. I then lost 17 inches and am now a size 5-7 depending on fit. I also went from doing 21 to 24 hours of cardio every week to ZERO I only do strong lift 5x5 for an hour every other day. I also changed from eating 1260 calories to 1600 +. I started lifting with a 12.5 lb bar and now lift 109 lbs squat, 100lb sumo squat, bench 83lbs, barbell row 89lbs, over head press 62lbs, and deadlift 137lbs.

@fanncy0626 - Thanks. You look great. I've seen the photos in a couple of the success threads and it's a wow each time.0

Dawn - We found the secret to getting in shape and being able to eat a lot of food. Lifting weights and making lean muscle that burn 7-10 calories per pound per day compared to fat that burns 2-3 calories per pound per day. Your pictures show your successful transformation through weight lifting and should be motivation to other women!0

Great job both of you!!!0

Had a great workout last night! I deadlifted 165lbs (more than my body weight) for the first time! Felt like a badass!
I was so jazzed, I went home and took progress pics - something I have seriously been slacking on. I've lost almost 40 lbs since Christmas, though I'm back to around the 30-35 lb mark now that I've switched to maintenance and been eating to lift. It still floors me when I can see, side by side, how much my body has changed! I've only been doing Stronglifts for real (free weights) since the very end of July, but have seen incredible changes, even since then!
And, for reference....

Angel grove, absolutely fabulous!!!
Fanncy I'm with you, no longer bother with cardio, just lift!
I actually popped into this thread to see Dawn's pics. WOW DUDE! I haven't seen you at the gym since like April (do we still go to the same one?) and you look AMAZEBALLS holy cow!!!0 -
Angel _Grove - fantastic results! Lifting really does make dramatic changes to your body. You look great!0

Great pics there.
Finally got something pulled together from the wedding. I'll try to take pictures of just the shoes for everyone on my day off from work as the plain black is hard to see in the image. The first picture is me at my older stepsister's wedding just over 4 years ago (spring 2011). Second picture was a week ago at younger stepsister's wedding. Difference of a little over 70 lbs.

@DawnEmbers I've said it already elsewhere but it is worth saying twice....... Your success is amazing.
It is doing me good seeing the progress that can be made WITH TIME. I've often been impatient with weight loss and exercise regimes but there are so many people here proving that the best results come over time that seemed have had a mindset switch and am happy to put in the work, enjoy my food using my increased calorie allowance and see my own steady changes.
Thank you all for sharing... It really does help those of us that are new to the lifting game, or feel like we are stuck.0 -
Why can't I see the photos with .jpg? Is it because I'm on an iPad? I'll go check in on my lapt and hope for the best! Still, I'm inspired by the progress photos I can see! WTG Angel and fanncy!0

That is a good question Julie. I know on my phone I can only seem some pictures too. Not tech enough to have answers though.
@kimiuzzell - Thanks. It does take time and in the middle, when looking at the short term, it can be a challenge. Lifting and jogging have helped me have other things to focus on besides the pesky scale and I'm starting to be better about pictures, though I'm still not the biggest fan of having my picture taken. I still need to do a non-dress progress set of pictures but lighting is so terrible in apartment and it's easier when I have someone else to take the pictures. I'm terrible at selfies. Maybe in December or January I'll get some more done.0 -

Looking gorgeous in the maroon dress! Great transformation!!0 -
Thank you.0 -
Just a curious note here. Have not lost a single pound but after just 5 weeks of SL and calorie count I am seeing tiny changes.3 -
@mustb60 - Doing well. I find that sometimes when the scale isn't moving, that is when people noticed and commented saying how I looked smaller and had lost weight. Even if the scale isn't budging, still many forms of progress being made. Keep up the good work!0
-
mustb60- there is definitely a difference! Nice job. That happens to all of us. Pictures and measurements are essential!0

@DawnEmbers I was irritated with no weight loss but pics did help to keep me motivated. My hubby commented that my stomach looking smaller than before.
@fanncy0626 Yeah. Pics were required to keep me sane!!0
