Pretty frustrating to keep losing and gaining the same pound, but I guess maintaining around the holidays isn't so bad. Don't want to wish away the next week, but looking forward to starting the New Year on track!!0 -

Had a humbug visit over Christmas (norovirus, yuck). Whole family was down for the count, except the three year old, how she escaped it I am not sure (Christmas miracle perhaps?). I didn't get it very bad, thank goodness, but caring for four ill people (and postponing the ham dinner until today) made it easier to avoid overindulging. Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!0 -

Was so happy to see that I was in the 130s this morning! Think I managed to lose some despite my bad eating during these past two weeks because kids are on vacation so I have been cleaning nonstop after them and company.

Kind of struggled for a few weeks (holidays hit me hard, I guess!), but think I might have found a groove in some ways. My water intake has been great, and I've started exercising again. Food has been iffy, but I'm adjusting it!

Think last week's reading must have included some water retention. Now that the holiday goodies are out of the house and I'm back on track the weight seems to be coming off again Tried on my size 8 jeans today (hadn't tried them on since early December) and they fit!! Only 9.8 lbs to goal. Can't wait to see the 140s!

Way to go @tlflag1620!! Awesome progress! I'll bet zipping up those jeans felt great! Can't wait to do the same, pretty tired of leggings. I weigh in tomorrow so we shall see...stay tuned!0

Started working out this week. Nothing major to start (some squats, crunches, and push ups) but feeling a bit sore this morning, so I'm hoping the pound and a half gain is my muscles retaining water. Also started logging again this week. I feel like I've been in the 150's way too long. Logically I know that since I'm close to goal the rate of loss will slow down, and I know it's not a linear process, but that doesn't always help the frustration. I want to see the 140's soooo bad. Hoping next week's weigh in reflects the work I'm doing! Hope everyone else is doing well!0 -

Been dealing with a 2+ week bleeding after my mirena insertion. Not sure if it's period or just the IUD. In any case, my weight has been fluctuating like crazy this past couple weeks. I keep going up and down 4+ pounds.

Keeping up with my workouts and finally starting to see a real payoff. Today is my oldest child's bday, pre logged the day and outside kind of high sodium, it shouldn't throw me off too much (I hope, lol). I'd like to lose two more lbs before February is over. At least this year I get an extra day

So I'm giving up logging food and weighing myself for lent. A couple reasons - first, I'm within 10 lbs of goal and I know I'm reaching the slooooow part of my weight loss and the scale is a lying liar pants who lies at this point - a big meal, a high sodium day, a high carb day, so many things can mask that half lb a week loss that the scale has been driving me crazy lately. So to heck with the scale. Second, I know I have no intention of logging food every day for the rest of my life, and I certainly won't be so obsessive about weighing in every week (heck most days I hop on the scale at least once!), so I want to try my "sea legs" and make sure I can keep making progress without logging and without weighing myself. That said, I will continue eating a healthy low carb diet (just no logging/counting), will continue working out at least three times a week, and will focus on getting enough sleep and enough water. Instead of weighing in each week, I will post my measurements (bust, waist at narrowest point, hips, and widest part of thigh, in inches). I am going to resist the urge to step on the scale until Easter morning. Just a little experiment - wish me luck!
PS I had set a mini goal of reaching 150 lbs by the end of February, and as tempting as it might be to step in the scale February 29, I am going to try my best not to, lol. I figure even if I haven't gotten there yet, it really doesn't matter - I don't want to get discouraged if I'm not there yet, especially being so close! I'd like to be in the mid-140's by Easter, so that is my new mini goal. I really am kinda excited to see how this pans out

No real changes in measurements this week (think baby must not have eaten as much before measuring this week, lol). It's been pretty hard to stay off the scale, lol, but I think I'm getting the hang of it :P Been getting regular exercise and eating well. If nothing else, if I'm eating at maintenance it will give me a bit of a "break" and hopefully prevent diet burnout. Hope everyone else is doing well.0 -
Update!
-Pre-pregnancy 140 lbs
-Right before delivery 165 lbs
-Leaving the hospital 140 lbs
-1 week of breastfeeding + breastfeeding hunger 150 lbs

-Now 20 weeks PP Baby is sleeping better so I am starting my workouts back up

Can I start by saying it has been soooo hard not stepping in the scale! But I'm getting used to it. I actually went to a gym (first time ever, lol) with a friend this week, and went ahead and joined. I really want to improve my endurance, lose those last few lbs, and then work on gaining some lean body mass. I have a plan in place, and now that I have someone to go with I'm hoping regular exercise will help bust me through the plateau. Hope everyone is doing well. Can't believe the little peanut is seven months old already! It really does fly by - I should know that after four kids, but it always takes me by surprise how fast they grow0 -

If nothing else the last few weeks have been a good exercise in maintenance. Can't go to the gym this week (dh out of town, and gym doesn't have childcare), but been doing body weighted exercises at home. Wish I had measured my biceps to start with because they felt bigger (not sure if that's my imagination tho, lol). Was overweight when I got pregnant. I'm 5'6" and weighed 164. I always feel my healthiest at around 140lbs so that's where I'm looking to get to. I'm currently only 4 weeks postpartum so I'm just walking/doing some prenatal exercise videos for the time being.

I used to follow stronglifts 5x5 and my body fat is a few % higher at this weight then it was the last time I lost weight so my new goal is closer to 140 for a similar body composition to what it was at 150 previously.
I do fit into almost all my pre pregnancy things, just the little extra jiggle now makes me uncomfortable. Need to drop these last 10lbs.0 -

So I'm officially done with my experiment. Lost a couple lbs so I count it as a success. It's nice to know that I can maintain, or even lose a bit, without tracking (I hate tracking, lol). I would have hoped to see a bigger loss, but we did just have Easter weekend, so I may be retaining water, we'll see what happens next week. I will be back to stepping on the scale regularly, but I'm not going to log (did I mention I hate logging?). Only 5 lbs to prepregnancy weight! Periods have not yet returned (baby is still nursing pretty frequently despite regular solids), so I wonder if hormones will slow down that last bit of weight loss, but I guess I'll find out soon enough. Hope everyone else is doing well!0
