    During the Giro, I spent a small fortune on tubes. So much debris out on the roads so I took the bike in and have tire liners. The thorns are whet is giving me so many flats. Starting a new 90 day Summer challenge tomorrow, which includes 2 more Grand Tour challenges too.

    05/29 - 18.0 miles cycling (Giro Challenge Stage 21 - Giro d'Newberg)
    05/30 - 1.0 miles walking (recovering from challenge)
    05/31 - 2.0 miles walking (bike went to bike shop)

    Total: 338.0 miles

    30th: 4 miles purposeful walking - MTD
    31st: 6 miles purposeful walking, 3.5 running, 8.1 miles cycling - MTD 219.6

    A very purposeful day today. My running could have been better. It was my first run in a week and my lower back started to tighten up. I went from 11 min a mile to 14 min - then I walked!! Next time will be better :)

    :blush: Thank you. It's an NSV for me because I couldn't even lift my hips up without straps and the bottom leg bent when I started going to the gym. And because I spent my whole life hating pictures of myself, but that's been changing. When we were doing the other side, the instructor, trying to be encouraging actually said "hang in there!" :smiley:

    Walked w/DH and Bean yesterday and today then got on the recumbent both days and watched some Banshee.

    Posting tonight to finish out the month. Glad I didn't need these last 2 days to get to goal, only added 4 miles. Still had a very respectable total of 126 miles.

    Adding 7 miles for 134 out of 350. Riding at 3 AM is a wee bit on the chilly side. :smile:

    @Karen - We just might have to do that! We might be camping there again over Labor Day weekend, but if not, it would be a great motorcycle ride to get there. a little over an hour along the Mississippi. :smiley:

    18.5 miles on the exercise bike...took me 70 minutes :# but that makes goal!

    Total to date - 141.65 of 124 miles! woohoo - finally made goal, it's been a few months since I could say that. The nicer weather got me outside and moving this past week :)

    Very close but didn't make it. No worries. I'm taking June off from the challenge to rethink my exercise strategy because I met my weight goal...yippee!! I will still, of course, be doing my bike rides because I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE biking!!!
