For the Diabetics, you might want to make it about insulin resistance and BG issues. Tha would include those with T1D, T2D, prediabetes, NAFLD, Alzheimer's and PCOS. Or just make it for health issues in general and include stuff like PaleoMom's Autoimmune Protocol, or the Wahl's Protocol for MS.

Had to laugh at the title. I definitely agree with including insulin resistance as a separate but sometimes related issue. And with PCOS. It is often viewed that PCOS causes IR, but modern research is starting to show that the IR often comes first. And with IR, it can also trigger high trigs, thyroid problems (that won't show up on a standard test for 10-15 years for some folks), hormone imbalance, which all plays a part.
But IR can come before or with Diabetes....or it can come alone. The fact that fasting insulin levels are not a standard test still drives me a little crazy. With that knowledge, 10, 20, or even 30 years ago, it could have changed my entire life! So, I'll post links when I have time, but most of my favorite resources right now are www.healthfulpursuit.com (she deals a lot with the endocrine/hormone issues), www.thyroidpharmacist.com, www.hypothyroidmom.com, and others. I'll post when I have time to dig in.

I'm loving the numbers of new members, and watching them "grow up" with this woe! It's most exciting to see them giving advice to other newbies, too, after a short while!
When I became a member of this group in February, 2015, there was just over 11,000 members. Now there's almost 29,000! Granted they aren't all active, but I hope most of them "lurk", and learn about this woe to see if it's for them, or not!

I still go back a read things again. Was all foreign to me in the beginning! After a year and a half it's starting to make more sense, lol! Lots of great information that was compiled (still being added to) by our wonderful mods, and trailblazing members!3
