We are halfway through.... Welcome to Wednesday!!
Still hanging in there! Successfully too. I'm down yet another lb this morning, one more to go and I'll be caught up to where we were prior to the weekend carb fest.
As motivation I've also gone back and started listening to 2KetoDudes from episode one. My drive to and from work has become much more enjoyable and educational too. I'm currently on the protein show this episode along with the last few made me realize I have placed too much attention on this macro. It's still important but I've been striving to get too much! And that too much just may have been what was slowing me down. I'm on the right track now and obviously two days isn't long enough for me to say my theory is fully correct but, a pound a day definitely makes me lean in that direction. Time will tell...

My weight is back down to what is was before a rather fun weekend I'm glad cuz I was expecting it to take longer. I can still feel water retention in my legs.
I'm taking it easy on myself as far as strictness goes though, cuz today is my birthday and tomorrow is my son's 21st bday. Much partying will be done in the next few days and I imagine a weight increase but I'm not worried about it. I'm in this for the long haul and feel so much better than I ever did eating SAD.

Interesting idea on peanut butter in coffee. I normally add protein powder in mine. I don't use actual BPC (the brand-name coffee), but I buy freshly roasted coffee directly from the roaster in the nearest city when I'm there. I grind beans right before brewing, which is usually around 30 days or less from when they were roasted.
So I've been using fresh coffee and being a coffee snob overall, but the best part is that I pair flavors of protein powder with coffee flavors. The roaster has some different flavors of beans based on how they are roasted. Right now, I've got some 'Campfire Dream' coffee beans (S'mores flavored) and I pair it with cookies and cream flavored protein powder. Prior to that, I was drinking banana nut coffee with banana cream protein powder. I might have to look for a flavor that pairs with peanut butter, but the problem is protein content is just too low. I have tended to struggle with getting enough protein over the past few weeks especially as I've consumed more salads with fatty dressings and higher fat meats. Plus, as my calorie goals continue to decrease, it becomes more and more difficult to reach protein goals.1 -

It's Shake it off Thursday!
I'm officially past my carb fest gain! Took almost all week but today I was down two instead of the one lb daily! I'm extremely happy because the little changes I've been making are adding up!
Keto-aide has been my side kick
BPC every morning to kick the fat burn off
Aiming for fat and monitoring protein to stay on the lower side of my range.
Listening to my body for cues as to when to eat, how much to eat.
Not pushing for exercise until my body says it's time.
So the last one is another thing that I'm trying. One of the things stressed when dieting and focusing on overall health is reduce stress. Exercising is doing just that, stressing the body. So while I'm still on the weight loss side of this WOE I'm trying out not pushing the exercise until the weight is down more OR until my body starts giving my hints to start exercising. Walking is what I will focus on for now until then.4 -
I have to go buy a new suit today! Leaving for our cruise tomorrow, so last night I tried on both suits (which I haven't worn since I started this WOE on Jan 1). OMG, both of them are so big that the pants literally fall off and if I put a belt on them, it looks like I am wearing parachute pants (for all you who remember the 1980s, LOL) Plus the jacket and shirts swallow me now.
As good as this is, it's kind of a bummer because one of them was a custom made suit and I can't afford anything close to it here in the states. So now, I'm am heading out to buy a whole new suit!8 -

This woe of life keeps giving me gifts of living life. Even with all the relapse carb struggles...which for me usually go along with personal growing pains...I still have found something that I can hold onto and that works and is right where I left it, if I temporarily lose my way.
I love reading how others handle their challenges and am so happy for my pals stories of victory and joy.
I've been doing this hardcore for 1 year and 9 months and have held on to losses of between 110 to 135 pounds.
The struggles and setbacks are so baffling and humbling sometimes, but the basic woe is solid and I can get back to it over and over.
I'm so happy and rebuilding a fun filled awesome life...brick by brick...from the ruins of my past. Two years ago this was a dream. Now it is real.
I am so grateful to have been able to stick with it. And the future seems brighter every day.
It works when you work it.

It's finally here! It's "can't believe I survived this week" Friday! Yaaay!!
Phew. I had another crazy day at work yesterday that had me so stressed out. I survived yes but I also have to note that I showed no loss for yesterday either. Interesting. There was only one change in my food habits and that was forgetting my MIO for my Keto-aide. Oh, wait. Two changes I did buy a large diet dr. Pepper on the way home and drank about half of it.
I will have to make a note of this in my personal journal so I remember this observation. Now I'm really thinking about it and I also connected my high fasting number this morning too! Sounds like no more dr. Pepper for me!

It's a Super Sunday!
Apparently I've gone to skipping Saturday posts for some reason. Saturday seems to be my busier day on the weekends.
Today is burn day! I had three large trees cut down in the yard last weekend and they need to be burned. So today I will be multi-tasking burning and cleaning up my gardens. That should definately help with my step count for today!
My scale showed no loss this morning but no complaints from me! I had great losses this week which definitely boosted my mood and my determination! Another thing that helped out that department was my bloodwork!!
I posted a thread about my lab results. It was good news!

What a way to start a Monday! A bit over an hour gone to catching up on everyone's posts here. It's been over three weeks since the last time I visited this group and in that time I've really crapped out on LCHF and gained back too many pounds. Hmmmmm, think there might be a connection? Well, duh! Anyway, it's good to read all the success posts from so many of you.
As far as news goes, one year ago yesterday I arrived here after driving 2,300 miles in a U-Haul. It's almost impossible for me to believe the 180 degree change in my life that has taken place in just this past year's time. All changes for the better, I must add.3 -

Raincouver is living up to it's reputation and I arrived at work on Monday drenched, with paperwork on my desk already.
But I did get my lifts in today which made me happy. My workouts have been sporadic the past few weeks as I get adjusted to a new gym, work with their hours, and try to get everything in.
I spent the weekend going wedding dress shopping with my cousin so there was lots of running around. I am wiped.Can I join?
I don't have anyone in real life to talk about it.
DH thinks I look fine, so he doesn't understand why I'm doing this.
I'm new to this WOE; I'm loving it.
It's supposed to rain today; so needed since we're in a drought.

I feel like I already need valium to face the thought of Wednesday. Went and signed the paperwork and signed up for the financing today. I have to have a tooth pulled & bone graft done, then in 6 months after all that heals and grows strong, have an implant installed, and a month after that, the crown put on and finished. FML. As if I didn't hate the dentist enough already - and as if the absolute horror torture of the failed root canal two weeks ago didn't seal that particular coffin. I really just want to cry hysterically.0

you can use powdered peanut butter to whip into HWC much like you would to make chocolate whipped cream with cocoa powder2 -

Holy Monday! I got my hair done this weekend and the girl cut a good 3 inches beyond what I asked so no ponytail for me. As I'm a habitual oversleeper this is bad news for me. I depend on ponytails and it's going to be months. I'm so sad about. Also my car is in the shop. This is the third vehicle I've had that has had transmission problems. Lovely.
I need to get back into working out this week. I injured my foot a few weeks ago and it still hurts. I got it x-rayed and it showed that it was previously broken and healed. I had no idea. She says no recent break so I guess I just aggravated an old injury. So I guess I'm off running for a little bit longer. I need to concentrate on strength training. I wish I had room for a barbell and bench. I want to do SL but no room. No money or time for the gym. I'm just not confident I can get the results I want with dumbbells.
Anyhow enough babbling. I hope everyone is having a good start to the week!0 -
