My name is Sheena. When I first signed up for MFP years ago I had no idea there was a community and you could have "friends". Lol
Sh512266 was my log in handle for my university website so it was easy for me to remember and I put 0 thought into it. Haha! Wishing I had something better now!
You can change it once. Only reason I know is I was complaining that I used my real name and someone told me. You get one free easy change. After that, I don't know.1 -
Mine is a handle I had to adopt when I signed up for my first email account. The combinations of my first name/last name and last name/first name were already taken in that domain so I went with the name of my then cat. Later on I realized it was a good thing because there was at the time a well known porn star with my same first and last name. Who knows what sort of correspondence I would have gotten?1

Sunny comes from the nickname, Sunshine, my hubs calls me. Bunny because I freakin love bunnies! And squirrels, but Sunny Squirrel didn't have quite the same jingle...0 -

I nicknamed my hubby "Bear" years ago when we first met and so by virtue of that fact I have baby bears.
... of which only two are pictured in my profile image, hahaha.

Here is mine revisted for any new folks who give a durn.
Well, I love to knit, and back in the early 2000's, I tried to make a go at a company selling my own handmade goods (knit, crochet, sewn, embroidered, etc. - there aren't many crafts I haven't tried!), and so I worked really hard to come up with a fun company name. So I joked that it would be "hit or miss" so there was born KnitOrMiss...
My personal nickname to which I always respond instinctively is Wench, which my biker fiance uses as a term of affection (considering all my RenFaire and Halloween costumes end up with a wench-y theme), but I didn't want to have to do a variation here.
All my other former user names were specific (WoodNymph3058 for Battletech, Lauranthalasa for AD&D, Notebook for GScouts, etc.) and I didn't really want to give away too many personal details, so KnitOrMiss it was.
It's a great conversation piece, plus I find that crafters tend to naturally gravitate toward each other...lol.0 -

Finally decided to get around to changing my name on here so gone from kathrout1973 which is extremely boring (my name and birth year) to something a bit more fun - as I am doing meat (ZC) my son calls me a carnivore so my nickname on games we play together is carnivorekat -3

@FungusGirl, I keep meaning to attend the FungiFestival in my area, but somehow always seem to be scheduled for work on those nights and sleeping days. SUX! Experts lead field trips for ID and sustainable harvesting of wild edibles, cooking demos, great food, etc. Not that cheap but worth it. This was the 11th year, I have to book time off for next year's festival. I've picked my own puffballs, but of course, those & morels are the easiest to ID. Just listening to an interview last night about the author of 'The Horse Whisperer' who picked wild mushrooms with his family, cooked & ate them, and ended up hospitalized with kidney failure, and had to receive a transplant from a daughter who wasn't with them on the trip. Lucky man...

That's awesome and I love the picture! Actually, they probably mistook Amanita Phalloides for paddy straw mushrooms. It happens, but once you know them, there's not much to worry about. Starting out, stay away from Amanitas if you're a newbie and know the Galerina! Others are great as medicine and for the plate-sooooo many! Morels are so yummy, though! I have a great Morel cream sauce recipe and a great wild mushroom wine sauce! Chanterelles are awesome also! :-)1
