Challenge # 3 - Spice Dat Up Mon
I chose Ginger as my spice.
After my 60mi bike ride and then 5mi walk with hubby I took a nice long Epson soak. Was leaning toward a nice glass of wine but decided instead to try Ginger tea with a little lemongrass added. I have to say it was nice (I did add a little honey) and really helped me to relax, it was refreshing as well.

Challenge 3
I chose ginger and thyme and made a ginger iced tea lemonade I did add a bit of agave syrup as the sweetener. It was good but the first time I made it I added to much thyme to the lemonade the next time I only added the thyme while I steeped the tea and it was really good both my kd S liked it as well.2 -

I am ready to really cook it up next week. I got a new instapot. I made ribs and beets for dinner tonight. I have to report a NSV. I put on a pair of jeans and kept snugging my belt. Moved 1 1/2 wholes. Man that feels good. Scale moved from 34 something% to 33.9%without weight going up. We are getting snow tonight.4

I managed to max out this week! I didn't think I could do it with my set back earlier in the week but I made it! It was a beautiful day here today and 60 degrees! It's not supposed to be this nice for another week or more so I took advantage of it and took a 3 hour walk. My hip is really hurting but a couple of aspirin and few stretches and I should be good.3

@MonicaA2013 I agree! Seriously! I think many are waiting to add until the last minute, so we get a false sense of security. Sigh. I'm going to do my best to max out this week and I hope many others do, too. Completing challenges 1 and 2 shouldn't be hard because we've done them all before, so pick whichever two work easiest with your schedule. And eating four green fruits/veggies? Piece of cake. Let's pull this together, team, and finish strong!5

Challenge #2:
I chose the Randonnee on Réunion, or the 5K outside hike to Cascade du Trou de Fer challenge from Week 2 (Ile de la Réunion).
I chose this challenge because we have absolutely gorgeous weather today and I wanted to celebrate spring by running outside on my lunch break4 -
For Challenge 2
I chose CHALLENGE #2: “WHEN IN VENICE, TAKE A GONDOLA" (40 Min. Seated Cardio and Strength Video) from week 5. My hip is still really hurting so I figured that the "no impact" workout would be a good one for today. I followed it with the seated stretch routine and I think it was a very good idea.3 -
oh yeah and so far today I have eaten broccoli and okra. I think those should count as green!1
-
Hey smashers! Could someone please put me down for 210 minutes and challenge 2 completed? My post for challenge 2 will shortly follow!0
-
Challenge #2: Week 2 - La Reunion 5k. I choose to do the 5k outside because I'm currently on a hiking/camping trip in Moab Utah! I did this as a hike near Ken's Lake. It was a red rock trail and we did some rock scrambling and had a great time. Sun was pretty hot!3
-
NSV to share today. I decided to try a chisel class at my rec center and was a little worried about keeping up, but I did it! I was pretty proud of myself. I also bought a pair of pants a few weeks ago and they didn't fit. I could get them on, but not zipped. Today, those suckers zipped up too. I guess all the work and videos for this race are paying off.

LET'S GO TEAM SMASHERS !!!1 -
I'm done with Challenge 3
I ate broccoli and okra for lunch and fresh spinach and parsley for dinner. The broccoli and okra I made into a cream of broccoli soup a THM recipe. I love it! For dinner I made the "Lazy Lazagne" also THM and it calls for spinach. I added the parsley. This was the first time I tried that recipe and it was very good and easy. I will definitely make it again.3 -
Challenge #1
I chose the "Muay Thai Anyone?" kickboxing video from Week 4 (Thailand)!
Picked it because I actually really like this video (I had already done it a couple more times on my own since the initial challenge week). It gives me a good, quick workout and gets my heartrate up. Plus it's a good change from my normal workout of running. Gotta work out that upper body.2 -
I was pacing back and forth last night while I watched the Ireland videos and just getting in some active minutes...and I realized 20 minutes in that I had plugged in my FitBit to charge an hour before and I hadn't put it back on. GAHHHH!!!! I was so mad at myself. I hate not getting credit for all those steps :P I'm still counting the active minutes, though. Because I did them.
So, challenges 1 and 2 are both done! Still working on Challenge #3 but that should be complete soon. Feeling good about this week. How is everyone? Seems kinda quiet. Hope you're all okay!3 -
@ddeliciosa Moab is gorgeous! I live just a couple hours north of there. Planning to take the kids down there soon to explore a bit1

CHALLENGE #1
WEEK 6: THE LAST GREAT RACE!
“FROSTBITE FOOTRACE OR IDITAROD?” (Option #2 - 5K outside)
I picked the outdoor 5 k walks for both challenges. My son and I are currently on the mend after a very difficult week of being ill. The sun is finally out and there is nothing like a little fresh air to get our spirits back up after a week of being stuck indoors. The baby and I really enjoy walks outdoors so for Challenge 1 we did the frostbite foot race. We had doctors appointments and various errands and did it all on foot. NO CAR!! It took us more than the usual 1 hour to complete the 5k due to red lights crossing roads etc. but the 5k was completed. (and then some lol we had lots of errands)2 -
I'm so sore from yesterday's class. I also missed my water workout this morning because I had to take my daughter to physical therapy for her back. I'm just going to walk outside. It will probably be slow, but the minutes will count. It will also complete one of the challenges. Two greens done also, kiwi and broccoli.1
-
Hi team looks like my last post did not post today is the first time I am able to check in since Saturday. I am in beautiful St Thomas. I will be able to finish all challenges by Sunday I need help updating the spreadsheet though yesterday I did 60 minutes. Keep up the good work smashes!2
-
Challenge #3
I ate 4greens this week. I had parsley on dinner last night and then cucumber, broccoli and celery for snacks today.2 -
My plan for the other challenges are to do the 10.49 Iditarod from Alaska and The recovery routine with Jessica and peanut from last weeks challenge. I will get started on them tonight and should have them done by Friday the latest. My minutes are staying up there and I will update my main post here later when I get done for the day.
Keep up the great work everyone !!2 -
Challenge #1
I chose the "Muay Thai Anyone?" kickboxing video from Week 4 (Thailand)!
It's one of the video's that I really enjoyed, and also decided to challenge myself to continue with some of the videos as I would really prefer to do all of them as running/walking.4 -
Challenge #2
I chose the "Randonnee on Reunion" (5km outside) from Week 2 (Runion).
I chose this one as I ran 5miles outside this morning, living in Florida, it is absolutely beautiful here right now.
4 -
Challenge 1 completd
I chose to do the frostbite footrace from week 6.
I chose this because I needed to get outside even in this cold weather to stop my cabin fever!!3
