I had a really small NSV but for me was big. I was able to jog for 4 minutes today after almost 90min of cardio and strength training.
On one hand great because I was not even able to do that before but on the other ... how out of shape am I!!7 -
I started keeping my leather punch in my bedroom because I got tired of fetching it in the mornings to punch holes in my belts.9

I am down 30lbs since January and just now for the first time went to try on older, smaller pants in my closet. I was a solid 22, but I found a pair of 16W that fit really nicely, not too tight. Lol I know the W means they are probably like size 20. But I am going to ignore that and just wear them today and smile...5

My new niece is getting baptized on Easter Sunday a few weeks from now, and I'm starting to realize that as big as my clothes are fitting me now, I truly won't have anything presentable to wear by then. I think I might have to buy some clothes for the weekend and return them after one wear, because I do not have the money to be buying nice clothes right now. This is a problem.
BUT IT'S SUCH A GOOD PROBLEM!!4 -
Way to go you guys! Updating the wardrobe or reclaiming old pieces, is SUCH a great feeling. Keep it up!1

When I started in January I could only walk for five minutes before I had to stop. By increasing my amount walking each day I can now walk for two hours and I honestly don't feel very tired by the end. I am young and I recognize that helps a lot. But I just walked five miles straight today and I am not sore at all. (I had to start using deodorant on my thighs though because of chub rub)5

@dawnz75 I don't think a 16W is equivalent to a size 20 ... I just think it's a bit roomier in the booty and and belly. Maybe an 18? Also depends on the brand.
However, I have been wearing 16W and now they are a bit lose ... I just tried a Lucky Brand and Gap jeans size 33 / 16 and they fit so that is why I don't think it's a 20.
So awesome right? You might already be at size 18!4 -
Exciting. Thanks for the info. Hope everyone has one nsv this weekend!0

I had a whole day of shopping yesterday with my husband. We received some very generous gift cards as wedding gifts so I spent the day trying on clothes. I love Torrid and I distinctly remember the feeling of frustration when things wouldn't fit right or I'd have to stay away from certain styles because I didn't feel comfortable with my body. Yesterday I was all size 0s! (In Torrid, that's a L or a size 12 equivalent). I know sizes vary at different stores and styles but I vividly remember my days when I was a 3x-4x at Torrid. I literally had tears in my eyes. I'm not 100% comfortable with my body yet but I'm happy to say that I'm definitely excited about being able to shop with a more positive attitude.10

What a motivating factor that is!! I am looking forward to the day I can go shopping and go to the "regular" woman's section and not have to head to the plus.

Did not drop any pounds this week. Stayed on calorie goals and worked out 3 days. Cardio and weight training. However I lost 2 inches from hips and 2 inches from waist. It was a good week after all!7

Quit drinking soda. Had some on Saturday early afternoon, but have not had any since, and the desire is not there either.
Soda is my kryptonite and have been over weight since drinking soda like water (between 220 & 300 pounds), just depended on how much was in my fridge for weight gains.
Nasty, but delicious stuff!3 -
I dropped 3 jean sizes!!! I was so surprised when I tried them on9

I ran for a total of five minutes yesterday!
I'm running one minute at a time with four minutes of walking between, and yesterday was the first time I was able to do a fifth running period. I'm building up to Couch to 5k and I'm really seeing progress! When I ran for the first time last month, I could only manage about 30 seconds!
I think I'll be ready for C25K by this time next month and I am so excited!8 -
Non-scale victory for me was that I was able to wear a dress to church this morning that had been hanging in the back of my closet because it had been too tight. It was comfortable today, so yeah!
AND I was able to get back into a pair of jeans that I had since college. Granted, since the jeans are 14 years old, they are probably more like a today's size 28W than the 26W they are marked, and they are still too tight to wear comfortably yet, but I was able to get into them and to zip and button them, so I'm making progress, right? and maybe by the start of summer, I'll be able to wear them comfortably!7 -
Non scale victory for me this week (and I know you ladies can relate) I was able to cross my legs comfortably during church service yesterday. Normally I will try to cross them and it was so uncomfortable. But yesterday was a different story and it felt so good!! Patting myself on the back!

I'm starting to notice that I stand far away from stuff like the kitchen counter, my work bench whenever I'm doing something.
I realized it's because that's where my fat gut USED to be.
NEVER AGAIN.
A lot more to go but this is progress and that's all I can do...progress.11 -
Every morning when I get up and put on my work-out clothes and get on my elliptical, instead of hitting the snooze and rolling over for 9 more minutes of precious sleep, is a victory. I really love sleeping.
This weekend I went for an accidental 2 1/2 - 3 mile hike. My husband and I were at a local state park and we thought we were going on a 3/4 mile trail. Wrong trail. I really don't know how much we walked, but both of our fitbits logged an 83 minute walk and nearly 3,000 steps, mostly uphill and over some rough terrain. Well, part was boardwalk, but even that part was stairs! I truly don't think I would have made that hike two months ago.9
