What motivates me is Levemir!
My old insurance was $100 for 6 boxes of 5 pens each.
my new insurance is $1,125.77 for the same
6 boxes
For me diet has the biggest effect on my glucose #s,
carbs in particular, so I eat as few of them as possible.
I don't eat high protein because a lot of that will raise my #s too.
To get my calories up closer to where they should be I
eat fat.
Keeping to a strict Very Low Carb - High Fat diet,
I've been able to completely get off daily Victoza injections,
and reduced my Levemir injections from 100 units a day
to 30 units and still dropping. I still take Metformin twice a day.

Thank you for the information Ken. I am still waiting for referral to endo and will hopefully get what I need. I can't do HI fat because I have chronic pancreatitis. But i do try and stay low carb...most of the time0 -
