Good morning all! 110 this morning. I hate that I have to take the injection but it does work. I take it at night as my numbers are usually over 200 (despite efforts).1

Ugh. This 80/20 plan isn't working. I eat healthy 80% of the time and allow 20% for an indulgence. Unfortunately, my sugar pays for it the next day. So, better snacking is in order.

That's a good plan. For myself, unfortunately, I seem to have no self control. If I mess up one day, it may go on for three. I used to be, when I had small kids, we would have what we called munchy night. My ex would go out to play darts, and we would have popcorn, hot chocolate and watch cartoons. That kept me going until the following Wednesday. I think I will incorporate that again and see how I manage.

225 this morning. No dinner last nite as I was already at 243. No more insulin pen until monday....any thoughts?0

@ConleighS - I'm by no means an expert but I've been told by dieticians that fasting for too long with diabetes can cause next morning FBS to rise as the pancreas starts to create too much sugar/insulin to compensate for the lack of food input. When my sugar is too high I've found eating a carb free meal like meat/cheese and then some exercise like a walk helps produce a better morning reading the next day.1

today 86 and 96 2hpp (lunch), yesterday 89 and 103 2hpp (lunch). Glad things are back to "normal", when I was sick I was running 140 fasting, 110 2hpp.1

@mrron2u ... thanks for the information, I had forgotten that bit of info. It was almost 9 by the time I got home and I didn't want to eat that late. Next time I will try the meat/cheese thing..and I have a stationary bike I can ride... I have pancreas issues as it is causing me diabetes that is hard to control as it is.1
