    94 (5.22)... pizza, beer, and cheesecake last night. My sugar levels make no sense. Actually i had planned for most of that and the only macro i went over on was fats... and only 100 over my calorie goal.

    Welllllll - I am here to tell you that not tracking is not a good idea! I just decided it was high time to get back on track and checked my sugar this morning. 266!!!!! What a moron I've been. Pray for me while I try to get back into a low carb active lifestyle. I have to get this under control and stay under control. I plan to check in here every day from now on!

    You're not a moron, you're just human. I find tracking is my key to seeing where I've gone wrong in food choices. This morning, after a really great week, my FBS today is 11.2 (202). That's because I could no longer resist those darn Oh Henry easter eggs. Knowing the problem is half the battle.

    Managed to keep my carb intake to under 100gms yesterday. 237 is my number today. Woke up with a splitting headache. Not sure if it is low carb related or allergy related.

    A FAT MAN’S PRAYER
    by Victor Buono

    Lord, my soul is ripped with riot,
    Incited by my wicked diet.
    “We are what we eat!” said a wise old man;
    And Lord, if that’s true, I’m a garbage can.
    I want to rise on Judgment Day, that’s plain;
    But at my present weight, I’ll need a crane.
    So grant me strength, that I may not fall,
    Into the clutches of cholesterol.
    May my flesh with carrot-curls be sated,
    That my soul may be poly-unsaturated.
    And show me the light, that I may bear witness,
    To the President’s Council on Physical Fitness.
    And at oleomargarine I’ll never mutter,
    For the road to Hell is spread with butter.
    And cream is cursed; and cake is awful;
    And Satan is hiding in every waffle.
    Mephistopheles lurks in provolone;
    The Devil is in each slice of baloney;
    Beelzebub is a chocolate drop;
    And Lucifer is a lollipop.
    Give me this day my daily slice,
    But cut it thin and toast it twice.
    I beg upon my dimpled knees;
    Deliver me from jujubes.
    And when my days of trial are done,
    And my war with malted milks is won,
    Let me stand with the heavenly throng
    In a shining robe – size 44 long.
    I can do it, Lord, if you’ll show to me
    The virtues of lettuce and celery;
    If you’ll teach me the evils of mayonnaise,
    The sinfulness of Hollandaise.
    Of Pasta a la Milannaise,
    Potatoes a la Lyonnaise.
    And crisp-fried chicken from the South,
    Lord, if you love me, shut my mouth.

    Carbs are not my friend, carbs are not my friend. I must repeat this every night after 8:00 pm. Snacked on pretzel crisps last night at 10:00 pm.
    readings this morning
    17.3 (312). Carbs are not my friend, carbs are not my friend.

    242 today - had a few more carbs than day before - hard to find that happy medium. Still plugging away though!

    @judyvalentine512 Knowing the problem is half the battle. I took your advice to stop eating after 8PM I find my numbers are better in the AM. Today it was 105, but yesterday was 123 after a couple dark chocolate kisses & jelly beans Easter candy my roommate offered me.

    @judyvalentine512 an apple and some peanut butter sounds so healthy, but it always gives me a nice spike if i have it for my evening snack
