Done! (Without the 11 year old.) I've settled into a pretty consistent pace. It's slow-a little slower than a 15 minute mile. Are there any graduates still checking out this thread? Does anyone have advice about whether to keep at my slow pace and increase time until I'm going 5k, or stick with running 30 minutes and work on increasing speed after I graduate?

W3d1 done I was worried for 2 reasons one I thought I'd find it hard and 2 for various reasons I could do Monday so it's been 4 days between runs. I can't say I found it easy, but I did it and don't feel like death. So overall happy!

W3D2 finished today. I have to say that W3 has been a surprise. As a former distance jogger before crappy knees, I did not notice you went from running for 90 seconds to 3 minutes between week 2 and 3. If I had never jogged before I think that would be really difficult. As it was of course the 3 min run happened on the worst hill of my course. LOL. I kept looking at my phone thinking why am I still jogging...?!!!! hahahaha.. Anyway, crappy knees will keep me from ever running more than 2 miles at a time, but I find this a good motivator to get back to jogging again after a year layoff, and do half of the run each day.

@RoteBook I didn't use the C25K program but my suggestion is ( based on some very experienced runners) just work on increasing your time running. The conditioning/strength/cardio gains and subtle technique improvements will slowly cause a natural increase in pace. I didn't worry about doing any speed training until I could run for a full hour ( ~ 10km/6.3miles) . Trying to increase pace or a dramatic increase in distance before your body is ready to support the extra effort is a sure way to run your self into an injury.
Runners Rule #1 - Avoid self injury

Going to start week 3 again today. Only because I didn't have time to do the 3rd run at the weekend due to family events. It's quite warm though so going to save it for this evening

W7D3 done. I'm pretty excited to finish next week. I'm currently looking for 10k apps. I've been using the zen labs C25K app so I'll probably just keep going with their 10k version.

W4D3 done this morning. Looking forward to W5, instead of being intimidated by it. :)

I'm amazed - when I started, I was barely able to run for more than 15 seconds at a clip without feeling like death. Today I ran for almost 15 straight minutes!
