Got 8 weeks until my 60 miler. Holy crap, that came around quickly. I really need to get in some long runs. Haven't done anything over 12 miles since March!1

Fifth marathon start on September 17, hopefully also fourth marathon finish. So, far, so good; last week was the first of 3 peak mileage weeks in my plan, and I'm feeling pretty healthy.4 -
I have a place in the London marathon in April so am slowly training for that. Only just started running again after an ankle break7

First HM in September. Have already done a regular marathon, so working towards a better time comparatively.
The long bike ride I went on yesterday isn't helping at the moment. I had an amazing time, and running definitely prepared me for the endurance needed, but 71.8 miles on a bike was definitely a stretch for my underworked cycling muscles! Going out right now to walk a mile, since that's about all I can manage today.5 -
San Francisco marathon, next summer! My fiancee and I are getting married July 2018 and that will be one of our honeymoon adventures! Does anyone have any training tips or personal experience stories from that run? We just started a running Instagram page to keep us inspired, accountable and a learning tool for other runners that are trying to train as well towards a health or fitness goal! Since we have started running and gained inspiration from the myfitnesspal community, we have lost over 175 pounds from healthy eating and running! It's been so amazing to see what this community has to offer and how much it has helped us reach our goals and what we have accomplished since we have started. Check it out and show us your support @butteroadrunners on Instagram3

I will be doing the Bozeman half this September actually! I have a few other runs lined up for there as well before then. What a small world!!3 -
@jurapak9960 Very cool! It really is a small world, I have seen only two other Montanans on here so far, feel free to add me if you want!1

Singapore Marathon in December for me. Going to be another hot and steamy one!5

Just started Week 8 of training for the Detroit Marathon on October 15. I just fit a 5k and half marathon into the plan and set a new PR for both, so it seems the training is going pretty well.2

I signed up for the 2018 Paris Marathon (April 8) today. My plan is to build my we until the end of the year, and then begin a 16-18 week training plan. I'll probably also try to run 2-3 shorter races until then, but without specific speed training or tapering. I'm hoping for < 2:50, but mostly for an injury-free build-up and race.4

I'm doing my first full marathon December 9th. I've stuck with half-marathons up to now. I really plan on this being my one and only full ..... lol I chose this one because it's flat and fast and has no time limit. Biggest danger is the alligators. The fun part is I will be running at the same location my son is although we are doing different races. We should pass each other a couple of times though. He is doing the 100 mile run.

The one I did last spring was going to be my one and only too. Then I did another last fall and my third about two weeks ago...now I'm looking for another one to sign up for next year.
Good luck with the training and the race.2 -
I did my first Half earlier this month in 2:09. Found a 20-miler and signed up for it next month. It's in Clarksburg just south of Sacremento. Barring injury i figure I should be able to cruise in under 4 hours. My goal when trying a new distance is simply to have fun and finish injury free with a snile on my face.2

Still recovering from my last race, but that's part of training. Next race will be the Zumbro Endurance Race on Friday April, 13th0

i've got a 10k Sunday, but its looking unlikely as i have been ignoring a niggle for months and its now turned into something more serious and i am currently walking with a limp.
really annoyed with myself for not following my physio's guidance when i first saw her about it in May and adding in a decent strength training programme when she told me i should.

Sorry you're injured. If you can't walk, you definitely shouldn't run. There will be other races.0 -
5k on the 8th! First in forever. Kinda panicked that I wouldn’t be able to run it but then realized it was only a few weeks ago that I was running 3 miles in 100 degree weather so I think illl at least make it to the finish line in the nice cool weather here! (It’s been in the 30s). Kinda excited to see what happens!3

Getting ready for the my next trail 5k on Nov. 11. Told the kids they HAVE to run in the kiddie races this time. If they like it, I'll sign them up for the rest of the season, and if not, at least they tried. Made a little running skirt as motivation for my girly-girl daugter, not sure yet what to use to motivate my son.
On the other hand though... I'm toying with the idea of doing two marathons next year-January and September, which would likely mean skipping the local one in May. Who here has experience with multiple marathons in a calendar year? Good idea or not? My first/last marathon was last May, but I've been doing lots of 5&10ks, a couple HM+ training runs each month, and am seeing improvements in my running (so I'm not currently overdoing it).0 -
20-Miler on 11/12 in Clarksburg CA. Kind of an odd distance but it will be a good step up as I prepare for my first Marathon next year.0

Yesterday I signed up for a 50 mile trail ultra in April, the Zumbro Endurance Run in Theilman, MN. Preliminary races leading up to that include the January Securian Winter Half Marathon in St. Paul, MN, and the February Psycho Wyco 50K ultra trail race in Kansas City, Kansas.0
