Daily Strength challenge
"Challenge for January 18 is squats (no weight - air squat - http://www.12minuteathlete.com/how-to-do-a-proper-air-squat/).
You can do assisted squats (using a table or bench top to take weight off the knees if it is too much)."
3 sets- First set till the point where you can do no more, wait 2 mins
- Second set of 60% of the number you did in the first set (half, then another 10%), wait 2 mins
- Third set of 50% of the number you did in the first set (half)

Jan 18th: three yups. Quiet day, which I needed after shepherding 12 seniors through dim sum yesterday. Tomorrow is weigh day, I have no idea what to expect, but it's just another day on my journey!2

Busy day packing, travelling, unpacking.
Swim in the resorts pool after dinner before dessert.
(Just a side note: this mornings weight reading was the lowest I ever remember having - 64.5kg (142.2) - This is probably too low for me - estimated 8% body fat - Maybe holidays will add some more as I don't tend to watch what I eat as stringently on vacation).
Daily Strength challenge
Challenge for January 19 is sit-ups or crunches (abs day - be sure to use a mat or towel for cushioning - )
2 sets- First set till the point where you can do no more, wait 2 mins
- Second set of 50% of the number you did in the first set (half)
The reason for only 2 sets for this exercise is that it ideally should be balanced with back strengthening exercises (which plank variants provide).

Traveling, this week, as we are in Minneapolis for a ski race. It was beautiful weather this afternoon and it’s looking like it’ll be pretty tomorrow, too!
Oh, yeah, I was panicked because I didn’t know exactly what kind of workouts I’d get while here. It turns out that our hotel has a fantastic gym, with commercial gym quality cardio and weight training equipment! SCORE!
The skies are so different from Seattle—they ARE BLUE!! LOL!! With nary a raindrop in sight.

Jan 19th, three yups!
I attended an informational seminar on Medicare today (I turn 65 in two months) and my head is spinning. I had no idea there are so many decisions to make! Having been an engineering project manager, I will draw up a plan tomorrow for me to follow, and figure out what facts and data I need to make an informed decision. And then I'll take all my notes into the state insurance experts for their comments before I sign up!1 -

Sorry for the slight gain. Started a new workout and nutrition plan. The plan requires me to eat way more (but still within calories, just way healthier calories) I think this is a week of adjustment and hoping the weight will start falling off in the next week or so.
