    Disappointed with a gain, I have had a few indulgences this week food wise but I've been doing more strength workouts and getting plenty of walking in. Still, I've heard that a gain following strength work isn't uncommon. I have lost an inch off my waist though!

    3 days of not eating bread and less carbs so I’m actually looking forward to official weigh in Monday !

    Good walk very late today (after taking daughter to skating). Dark when I finally got home (but still light enough to see).



    Daily Strength challenge

    Challenge for February 03 is door frame rows ()

    3 sets
    • First set till the point where you can do no more, wait 2 mins
    • Second set of 50% of the number you did in the first set (half)
    • Third set

    The reason for this exercise is push ups and dips work primarily the triceps (pushing). This exercise balances the others by working the biceps (pulling).

    Gah, I've been in a "crunchy" phase all week, i.e., tortilla chips, baked potato chips, pretzels, and it shows! My fingers are puffy, my knees are puffy, ugh! Thank goodness, all of that is out of my house now (I threw the rest of the last two bags out), now I just have to get un-puffy.

    Hey everyone! My name is Cristy and I'm a wife and mom to 2 teenage girls. The last year has been full of change (oldest daughter graduated high school, sold our house, bought a house, moved, started a new job) and the result of all of that for me was gaining about 15 lbs and I already needed to lose 5 before the gain. So I got back on track right after Christmas and I'm down roughly 8 lbs with about 12 lbs to go. I went from being very active in my job to sitting behind a desk all day with my new job so I'm trying very hard to be intentional about exercise. I used to be an avid runner and took a break so I'm slowly working back into that. We're going to the beach for vacation this summer and that's proving to be excellent motivation to stay on track and lose weight. I'm looking forward to the accountability of this group. We can do this!

    Active day and did do some exercise, but nothing I would put as exercise. Walked about 5000 steps, but did not do my bodyweight strength exercises (too tired).

    Was a good lunch with friends. But still well inside on budget for the day.

    Also spent a couple hours closing off January.

    Had my wisdom teeth pulled a little over a week ago so I just started eating solid food again. It accounts for a slight weight gain but back at it today.
