In the last couple of days, @PLANJ, @TAHM42 and @AMAZINGMUMMY have all made GOAL for March!! :drinker: Also, @TAHM42 has crossed the 5,000 lifetime MYAC milemark!
@CLEPANT - I copy the spreadsheet over to a new one a couple of days before the end of the month so I know there are always some that won't match up for a couple of days due to new miles being added. But I have it as part of my "month-end processing" that I do on or about the 5th day of each new month. I catch up the total miles to include any that were added the last couple of days of the month after I copied it and I update the "GOAL Streak" counts. I'll get you updated very soon! Done. AHHH!! I see why you were watching it so closely! You're about to have an "event" too!!
I got to the gym today and got my resistance training circuit done and did 4 miles on the stationary recumbent bike.

Well I finished the last day of March with a bang, I bought a new road bike. I got another Fuji flat bar road bike Due to the serious nature of my neck injury from 2 HBC bike wrecks, I have to change my position to more upright. I went with a shorter stem so I don't have to lock myself in a head up position which causes not only pain, but severe weakness in my neck muscles, bad enough where I can't hold my head up after a while. A gift from my first accident, made much worse from the 2nd wreck 14 months later. I have ridden my new bike between rainstorms, I am confident this will work for me much better. And a bonus, disc brakes!
Goal: 275.0 miles
04/01 - 23.0 miles turbo trainer
04/02 - 02.0 miles rest day walk
04/03 - 23.0 miles turbo trainer

@Dinos - Welcome back! Glad to see you. Saw your post on basketball. Looks like it won't be long before your back on the bike. Why the dizzy spells?1

@anaconda469 - AWESOME! I always love getting a new bike. You tweak just a few things that caused problems on the old bike and BINGO! You're up and moving comfortable which makes you just a little faster.0

Did another 5K run/walk which brings me to 11/60 for April. I tried shooting some baskets afterwards and I could still hit 70% of my free throws, but rebounding and turning around to pass the ball back was making me a little dizzy1

It's April!!! As in "Oh, April 15th is almost here" April. Come on people, tax day in the US has not moved, this is not a surprise to anyone. Plus, after 70 degrees on Tuesday (yes I spent the entire day indoors), it snowed yesterday and it is still cold today. Oh well, at least the sun us out.
OK rant over. Put me down for 75 miles this month, I will need the long, solitary walks once tax season is over before I am fit to be around normal people.
I've managed to walk 6.25 miles this month. Most of those Easter Sunday, but a little each day to keep the frustration level manageable.
So much good going on here, not time to comment but I did want to say welcome back to Dinos and congrats to Anaconda on the new road bike.3 -

Posting a funny one today because snow ... still.
Rest day for me. I know I need them, so why do I still feel like I'm slacking?

Getting on board with 15.11 miles on the bike trainer.
Since this post, I have:
1. taken the bike off the trainer and loaded it into the car for a Tuesday ride.
2. Taken the bike out of the car to put it back on the trainer because the weather turned rotten (unpredicted) on Tuesday.
3. Discovered a flat back tire, thus losing all motivation to ride on Tuesday at all.
4. When trying to change the tube on Wednesday, discovered a hole in the tire. (Spare tire was still at the old house.)
5. Replaced the tire/ tube and loaded the bike back into the car for a planned ride today. (Still iffy as the forecast is predicting cold wind.)
All this equals to zero miles.

Well, only one phone call for help counts as a day off for me. Not likely to see another one until April 19th or so. Officially I think I am off next Thursday but.....
Added 4.5 miles today, even though it was darn cold to walk along the river trail. The river is high and fast already and we have more rain coming in the next few days.
March total 10.75 miles.

@Just_Ceci: So frustrating. It has been a horrible winter/spring here as well for running and cycling. I pull out of my garage and head a mile and turn around soak and wet. At least the tire and shoe treads are okay. Hope you get out soon for a flood ride.
@Dave: Yep, not usually tracking miles but knew I was close at the close out of March. Thanks for the explanation. You guys are the best for doing all this work.
@anaconda469: would love to see. Photo of the new beast. Ride pain free girl.
@taxmom: Don’t know how you do it. I can only imagine what you deal with during crunch time, I got my taxes and my dad’s done before April for the first time in years. Use to do it early but I was getting too many financial forms in March....got one in June last year and had to submit a revised form.
Sorry for scatters postings. My dad was admitted into the hospital Easter Sunday after a stop in the ER. He is having back surgery tomorrow morning on his compression fractures. And my chemo dog came back sick Monday afternoon after a check up at the oncology department at his specialty hospital. Was fine while there but got worse as the afternoon and evening went on. Found another dog’s I’d tag on him when he got home. Owner had my first name...Charlene, and her dog was a neutered male about the same age. She was there for her first treatment and we thought our dog got her dog’s treatment. I was able to find a phone number and call her about it as all her personal info was on the ID label. I held my dogs oral chemo for the day and gave him a nausea tablet and by late morning of the next day, he was back to his old self. Needless to say it has been a crazy week.
April 4 and 5: Adding 23 miles of walking 12 miles and running 4 miles and x biking 7 miles.
TTD: 62 miles

4th: 4 miles - MTD 18.5
5th: 5.31 miles, .31 m swimming, - MTD 19.81
Aqua fit class last night as cross training. I had a sports massage on Wednesday - elements of which were brutal as my upper legs are such a mess!! It’s because I’ve been running with my beginners and adapting how I run because of the tendonitis in my @$$. I’m still tender down the IT band from the session!! Enforced rest now - well, doing more cross training to compensate.
..... I agree, we need a picture of that new bike1
