JUNE MONTHLY CHALLENGE

Welcome one and all to June!
Here we go: a new challenge but the old spreadsheet!
So don't look for a new one of those, but continue to post your weight on the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' which Nikki will update as needed. You can obviously also post your weight in this post and many do.
For anyone new out there; feel very welcome to join, we usually post our weigh Sundays and use the 'Keto Monthly Challenge Spreadsheet' also in 'Announcements' to track weight.
We use this thread to encourage each other and to add our weight as well if we want to and generally chat!
It's fun and it's been working and we've lost a shed load of weight between us. It seems to keep us going and even if we go up occasionally (and who doesn't!) we get back to it and continue the journey.
So here we go, good luck in June

I’m in for June. This is going to be a great month for me. I’m not going to set any goals for June??? However, I anticipate reaching several goals I set back in January 2018:
1. 50 pounds lost
2. Below 20% Body Fat
3. Under 25 Body Mass Index (in the MFP Healthy Range)
4. Logging on MFP 6 months
5. Being on keto 6 months (Longest I’ve ever sustained a diet change)
6. 8 real pull ups (a goal I set for May that I’m still working on)
That’s is surely enough unfulfilled goals to work on without making new ones June. Looking forward to hearing the inspiring stories, informed advice and experienced opinions that have made this thread my number one go to keto source.

I'm in for June!
I'm new to this group and new to keto. I've been aiming for a "balanced", "healthy" diet for years (usually ~30%p, 30%c, 40%f) and have been on and off MFP throughout, but with rugby-related ACL tears, lots of focus on my career and big chunks of time spent "off the wagon", my weight has actually crept slowly up instead of down. Whoops! I started tracking again on Jan 1 2018, made some slow progress, and after a month-long plateau, decided to try keto beginning May 21. One week in and I've broken the plateau, am down 6 lbs (some is water of course), am in ketosis per the urine strips (not super reliable long term, I know) and have gotten through the keto flu to the point where I'm feeling good.
I'll use the group spreadsheet for tracking but will also post here for encouragement.

I would love to join in! I had my first child back in August and was at my highest weight ever of 261. I’ve almost lost 45 lbs now but it’s going very slowly and I would like to jumpstart it. My weakness is carbs so it’s going to be a big challenge for me. I am doing a bit of a modified Keto diet which I read about since I am breastfeeding.3

I'm in!
Also a newbie. Not in Keto yet, but am Low Carb Hi Fat and going for more. I've been fighting and trying to stop a 30# weight gain over the last few years. Now hopefully the fight is over. Cravings are down and weight is coming off. Breathing a sigh of hopeful relief.

My motto is: if you fall off the wagon don't give up and don't beat yourself up just get back on there and you'll get there!5 -

Well, 16 days ago, I started this awesome lifestyle change. I've never stuck to anything like this. I'm actually happy trying to find new ways everyday to get my fats, proteins, and barely any carbs. Challenging and rewarding! Prepping my meal plans for the next day on MFP helps me tremendously. I also use my food scale like a boss. My family thinks I'm crazy, but they also notice my progress in loss of inches. Going into June hopeful for more loss, but remaining patient and realistic.

@PeaceQT18 Hi it's in the Announcements above this section which is where this June Challenge will be as soon as KnitOrMiss has time to move it up there! We actually keep it separate as it's easier to find that way. Just go to page one of the Spreadsheet and you will find the link and add your name and your weight. Hope that helps and welcome3

Thanks @chinatowninchina. I am very excited to continue my weight loss lifestyle... I refuse to continue to struggle with my weight. I think I'm finally getting a hold of this crazy yo-yoing roller coaster...4

I'm definitely in! A goal I'd like to achieve this month: going back to the gym. There's a ladies' only gym I'd like to look into, otherwise, the wellness center has a pool I'd like to start going to again. I miss swimming. But I need to try on my old swim suits! I have no idea if they'll fit me... LOL!

Chronic lurker, joining a thread finally.
Anyone else on here doing Keto with PCOS and losing at a glacier’s pace? I’ll take the loss, but averaging only 5 pounds a month if I’m lucky is superrrr frustrating.

I'm in again too. I had no overall loss in May, but that's mainly because I had a setback with a week-long conference and travel. My loss has been at a snails pace anyway, maybe 2-3 pounds per month. My goal this month: I will, I will, I WILL make it into the 50s in June!

Once I figure out the keto diet, I'm in. Brand New to keto, I have thyroid problems. I'm one of those that never had to worry about what I eat. But I now blame age, 3 kids in less than 1 year and thyroid. I need to lose weight to continue to care for my disabled son. Any help will be appreciated, I have no idea what I'm doing.

It's under the Announcements header on the keto main page, but here is a link for everyone:

Sounds like you have your hands full to put it mildly! Good thing about keto is generally it makes you have more energy and you probably need that! Good luck and just post your question here or in the general keto forum and some one will do their best to answer you.1 -
Hi everyone! I am new to Keto and plan to start on Sunday 6/3. I weight train 5 days a week + cardio. I have only lost 3lbs or so in the last 3 months and I know that the scale has not moved because I am building muscle and my diet has not been structured. I want the scale to move and I think Keto is the way to go! I look forward to seeing my results.
