Paula! that's good news! I've never heard of tummy-sucker-inner muscle...don't think I have one or any, however it grows.

Walking this morning and coffee & shopping w/DDD this afternoon. Not happy about getting up at 4:00 a.m. but happy about coffee and shopping.

Hi Chris, I thought you ARE a morning person, no? Or is 4:00 just TOO TOO early?

Yeah, I used to get up at 3:30 to get ready for work but since retiring, 4:00 is just TOO TOO early! But...it's the only time we can get a walk in when we have early morning R&B pick up and it gets really hot in the afternoons. DH can't do hot. It looks like SIL is booking his early morning with clients so I can't really complain...well, I can...but I shouldn't. :o:p

It's normal for me to be up at 4:00 am, Chris. That's because I almost always wake up in the middle of the night. Usually sleep easily pulls me back under. But once in awhile...

4:00 this morning was one of those "once in awhiles" with me struggling to go back to sleep. However it did finally happen (unfortunately) just a few minutes before my alarm went off. :frown:

I slept in a bit too. Woke up at 5:30, went back to sleep and got up at 6;30. Have an early meeting so planning workout for this afternoon.

Paula I used to do that when I was working but not since retirement. I do wake up at least twice to go to the ladies room, which is a good thing because I take pills at midnight.

Workout w/our trainer in the morning. Ronan has swim lessons in the middle of exercise, so NO YOGA on Saturdays of a while. We'll figure it out.

Ice coffee! Yuch Chris. And 4 am is to early for me also. We will need photos of Ronan jumping into the water. :p

Paula sounds like you are finally getting well again. :) I love your tummy exercises.

I have been really busy my friends. Still doing those crazy planks and added a push ups challenge. I logged in yesterday and will continue to try to do so all week.

Shelley!! You're back! I'm so happy!!!

Clara how do you get to sleep until 6:30 on a workday? Man, I would have loved that!!

Yes, 4 a.m. is way too early. We tried 4:30 this morning, and it didn't work...slept until 6:00 instead and didn't walk at all! The iced coffee bit was a joke...nopey, nope...this girl does not do ice coffee. Give it to me hot and no additives.

We have to walk tomorrow morning...no excuses.

I must check out the new ice cream, but no, I should be good instead.

I am sorry I worried you my friends. Just been busy and then just lazy by night. I have been doing our challenges a few times each week. And my large aquarium is finally reading no ammonia. But the Nitrites spiked for a week. Last night they read 0. So much happier now. Phew. No casualties thanks to Amquel! My Kindle would have had a field day with that paragraph!

Put a new exercise bench together Sunday and did physical therapy homework. Mostly isometrics for core, not hard.

Monday never woke up - don't know why - but exhausted. Got home, fed the cats, rested my eyes and slept slept slept slept until now. Feel like I need a few hours more.

Paula, I got like that Sunday...could not keep my eyes open. Slept for over 12 hours. Couldn't even read in bed...kept getting head-bonked with my book. Sad...

Today will be a play-day w/Ronan and DDD!!

I'm wondering if it's electrolytes, Chris. I was tired again this morning but had an egg loaded with salt and felt better. I'm going to try to remember salt/Gatorade in the future. See if it staves off the unconsciousness. Doing workout tonight.

A new bench Paula? For exercising? Sounds fun. Hope you are feeling better.

Chris I need so sleep like that! When you need it you should be happy it took you down!

Push ups are coming along better. Shoulder still gives me fits sometimes.

Paula, congrats on the new bench!

Chris and Paula, Once a year or so, I’ll have a day where I feel very weary. I call in sick and rest, figuring my body needs it.

Shelly, glad you’re keeping up with the push-ups.
Oh, and the reason I can sleep till 6:30, I live only 2 miles from work. That helps.

Okay, learned this today...The little face at the bottom of our post the has Woo after it is not good...it is like saying: Woo stop this is awful! Folks think it's: Woo Hoo this is great! but that's not what it means. So use Like or Hug or Inspiring or Insightful...DO NOT USE WOO!!! Thank you, I love you all! <3

Clara, two miles from work is the dream job! I lived 23 miles from work, but the worst commute in the East Bay! That's the reason I was up at 3:00 in the morning, leaving at 5:00 to get to work btn 5:30 and 6:00 to start my day and leave work at 3:30 to get home in one piece. I did that for 10 years. uugghh!! I love being retired!!

Paula, totally missed the new bench business. Hope you are enjoying it.

Shelley, I'm still doing pushups on a bench. I have a feeling the floor isn't far behind if we are training for that Mudder thing.

Chris that is ridiculous! Woo should mean Woo Hoo. It has for years. I wish that people would stop thinking they can just change the meaning of things! And I hope that bench is bolted to the floor. I can see it slipping! :s

Clara I get to sleep in until 0600 most mornings. I live really close to my office also.

Got my push ups done yesterday. I did not log in yesterday. Fell asleep with my Kindle open! :(

I don't know, Shelley. I may have to take it all back. I'm just going by what I learned on other threads but don't remember where I saw it. What you said is what I've always thought and was surprised when I read differently.

Worked out w/our trainer and DDD this morning. DH is napping w/Ronan. Must go to Kaiser this afternoon when they wake up then to Luckey's. It's pretty warm here today.

I live 20 miles from work, but hey, my commute (through the forests and along the ocean bluffs) are what some people will drive miles to see.

At my sciatica follow-up yesterday, my doctor said I have to strengthen my legs and core because now that it's happened I will be susceptible to it again, and good musculature will help prevent it. So guess what she prescribed? All the things Shelley and you'all taught me! Planks, wall sits, leg lifts, etc.

Our new job is just four miles away!! We can even walk to DDD's! So glad they are so close. <3

DDD is going to Goat Yoga today! This is where they do yoga among a bunch of baby goats and the babies play with you and on you! I'll see If I can get the picture that is in this morning's paper.

DH and I are walking in a few mins then we get Ronan for a few hours then I may have to go shopping...bwahahah!
