    Hello everyone,

    SW: 247.8
    06/12/2018: 241.5
    CW (06/26/2018): 239.0
    JUNE GW: 230-235
    DEC GW: 199
    OGW: 150

I have not set up my July goal yet. Still have a week to go. Had to skip lunch yesterday and ended up eating too much protein at dinner. This morning I feel waay too heavy. Anyway, today is a new day. Let's not overeat our protein. Could I make it to June GW by Saturday? We will see.

Forgot to add my SW (06/04/2018) a day after my 29th birthday that is when I decided that I did not want to be overweight anymore by my 30th next year.

I feel obligated to give a shout out to my friends River Goddess and KritinLeeD. We all agreed to hold each other accountable for logging our food intake on MFP for one week. It has only been 3 days, but I have benefited so much from this experiment already, I feel compelled to tell everyone about it now.

First, I feel like I have angels on my shoulders looking out for me to behave in a manner I know I should. Just the fact that I know someone who cares is looking out for me, has motivated me to get back to the basics that I know have worked for me in my first 5 successful months of keto. Now, I’m confident I can close out June with a small amount of success instead of adding to the three weeks of failure I accumulated in early June.

Second, if you haven’t looked at someone else’s food log I highly recommend you do. In just these three short days I have learned so much. I have been impressed with the detail and the honesty I’ve witnessed. I realized I may be a bit of a slacker when it comes to details. I’m not confessing I’m wrong. However, I am quite different in comparison to my friends in logging. Also, I saw that it is possible to enjoy indulgence without breaking the calorie count bank.

Finally, this forum has been such a useful tool in my arsenal of keto weapons. I have enjoyed, benefited, learned and grown so much from participation in this group. I look forward to continuing our adventures in July.

@stormywxs288 I couldn't agree more! What a difference a little more added support and input makes. Having you two say, "hey, waiting for your diary" spurns me to get it done and get it right!
I have learned that in order for me to stay motivated I need to be constantly mixing things up (because I get bored or in a rut) and that includes what I incorporate into the social aspect of my journey.
I love the fact that through MFP and through this forum I have gained a group of friends to help keep me motivated and to turn to when I need some insight. I wish I were one of those people that find all the determination and discipline I need from within myself, but I admit that I am not - I need outside sources to help me. I have tried many times 'on my own' and my discipline waxes and wanes.
I have always understood that I need other people in so many other areas of my life, but I somehow continued to think that when it comes to taking care of myself, I should be able to go it alone. I now unapologetically say I need other people and I am happy that I found some of those people here - so thank YOU!

@skctilidie - sorry I missed it, but I hope that you had a WONDERFUL birthday!

Thank you both! It was a very low-key kind of day, but a nice one.
I had the nice surprise this morning of the scale moving down rather than up today despite a day of really bad food choices yesterday. Just 0.2 pounds to shed between now and Saturday to be at my goal for the end of the month!

Good job and happy belated birthday.

Sorry I looked online for it this morning and couldn't find it again. However I saw several others in my search similar to it and even more that I was tempted to buy. I just googled keto t-shirts and was overwhelmed with choices.

I'm on a bowling team with my wife and another lady. They wear t-shirts that say "Here for the Beer" and I wear my "I can't I'm in ketosis" shirt.

My carbs are somewhat-accidentally netting under 50 (few cravings = not eating much "bad" stuff). Just got ketone test strips and curious to see the results. Happy with the new WOE.

    SW - 209.8 (SW for keto 4/15/18 - 206.8)
    GW - 150
End of June GW - 185

    Friday, June 1 - 188.8
    Sunday, June 3 - 188.4
    Sunday, June 10 - 187.1
    Sunday, June 17 - 184.6
    Sunday, June 24 - 185.8
    Saturday, June 30 - 184.9

Checking in a little early, as I’ll be seeing very little of my house this weekend thanks to a soccer tournament. Still up a bit from 2 weeks ago (not surprised by that considering both hormonal/pms type factors and the frequency with which I’ve allowed myself to go over my carb goal the past few weeks), but did just barely manage to hit my goal for the month.

Thanks @tinaainsworth ! I've tried jogging on and off over the years...but its just too hard on these old knees! I dont want to do more damage to them so I've decided that walking & hiking is just as good.

Had bariatric surgery in 2013 because I was almost chair bound at 317# and 61 years old. Reached 138.0 in Apr 2015 and felt twenty years younger. Then slowly, insidiously started gaining again. Fought it like crazy, keenly aware that a pound a month would take under ten years to disable me again. Three years in and discovered LCHF WOE in May 2018 and the fighting stopped

Reached two goals (1) into the low 160's & (2) walking again.

I started Lo-Carb WOE to fight cravings and weight gain and am loving how healthy it feels. Since cravings don't drive me to eat junk now, I can choose protein and vegetables. I wasn't trying for ketosis (carb goal = 100) but it's resulting from these choices. Just got some ketone test strips and scored a "trace" response. That's something. :) Nice.

I made a great discovery a few days ago. I have had my suspicions about conspiratorial tendencies in my scale. My husband was the one who rooted out the truth when he weighed himself before taking a shower and then for the heck of it weighed again after his shower and discovered that taking showers makes him gain weight. 3 pounds! He vowed never to take a shower again!

I was so excited last Wednesday morning to discover that I had met my June goal of 157! Wednesday night before I went to bed I had gained 5.5 pounds! Not to worry, because during the night all of the weight magically disappeared. But in two hours after not eating or drinking anything and making two trips to the bathroom I had gained 3 more pounds!

Note to self (and anyone else who may feel hostility from your scale): never trust a scale you don't know the history of. My husband had no idea when he purchased it (we've been married 11 years) and thought it might be 25 years old. I'm happy to report that now have a new scale that I'm confident is much more reliable. It's hard enough to lose weight without your scale working against you! I have no idea whether I actually hit my June goal the other day, (likely it was just my former scale playing a cruel joke)
but I'll take the small victory of having finally broken through the 160s. Bring on July!

    Keto Jan SW: 175
    Current Weight: 159
    June Goal: 157
    Goal Weight: 140

    Sunday 06/03: 160
    Sunday 06/10: 159.5 (06/8)
    Sunday 06/17:159
    Sunday 06/24: 159
    Saturday 06/30: 158.4
