@Gaynze I personally haven’t seen an increase in thirst (I was already drinking 1.5-2.0 gal water daily, which may account for the lack of thirst increase); however, liquid waste has increased. From threads on the topic (highly summarized), the decrease in carbs causes loss of places to store water but with so much physiological use for water, thirst increases. But because low carb is diuretic, more is lost as well. And the cycle goes on2

Other question I have is now that I’ve lost a wee bit of weight should I adjust my calorie intake and reset my current weight on mfp to reflect my current weight?1 -

i would not change it until at least another 10 lbs. based on feedback from others that i have seen, the first round off is misleading and changing at this point could set yourself up for failure. as with all things weight, YMMV; you may want to try it and see if it works for you0 -

I am finally back on Keto and new...hello! I was on Keto back in late 2016-early 2017 and went from 267lbs to 219lbs and then relocated to a new city and state and got depressed and gained it ALL back. After several false starts, I’ve officially finished week 1 of Keto and I already am feeling less hunger and down 6-7lbs.
I have a pretty hard goal of making to 217 by March because I want to have elective surgery and my BMI has to be 34 or below.
My mum is away on business travel so my family probably won’t have a big thanksgiving, so I’m not worried too much about that. Sugar is my main culprit and I’ve been doing really well. So I’ll just focus on continuing to ditch the sugar cravings and try and hit 255-256 by Nov 30th0 -

10/19 - 185 - SUCCESS!!! On the 18th I saw 185.8 for the first time since Aug 2016! Then on the morning of the 19th my body surprised me by dropping to 184.8!!! I’m so very happy!
12/17 - 175 - changing this to 179 as 175 seems unrealistic with my body’s current trajectory. I’ve been plateaued for quite a while.
1/01 - 179 (My goal is to not gain over Christmas!)
Ultimate Goal Weight: 145
End of October weight: 10/28 - 184.8! I’ve been holding steady at this weight for nearly 3 weeks now. At least it’s not gone up!

I am late checking in this month. I wasn't home last Sunday, and I have promised myself that I will only weigh on Sundays to keep from obsessing over scale movement.

WOO! 150s!!! I know I will likely see 160 again, as I fluctuate, even when the overall trend is downward. I honestly didn't think I would see 159 today (yesterday was 160). One more pound until I'm halfway to my goal weight!!! I've been IFing (16-18 hours mostly, though I had a 22 hour one), which seems to have helped a lot, as it broke my stall and helped me drop four pounds in less than two weeks (which is HUGE for me... I'm more of a 1-1.5 per week max person).
So I'm hoping for a nice loss this month, as I need to order my matron of honor dress by the end of November for my little sister's wedding in May. She said so long as the dress is from David's Bridal in "chianti" color, I can wear it. I've narrowed it down to three dresses, which I tried on one day last month, and all three look nice (and will look nicer when I'm another 20 pounds down). I think my favorite is the one on the right, which is complimentary with my bigger chest, plus I love the slit combined with one shoulder. The middle one is also a close contender, and has a neat back (mostly open in a tall rectangular shape, with a band of fabric going through the middle), makes my chest look good, and the cut hugs the body (in a flattering way) more than the others. The one on the left is nice as well. Welcome thoughts!

Exactly the same weight for 2 weeks now but I’m not discouraged. For the last two weeks I have had multiple cheat days so I am happy I didn’t gain. I know if I didn’t have those cheat days I would have lost. Still lost 7 pounds in a month!

I vote for the one on the left. If you are blessed with big girls the v line style on that one is very flattering. The one on the left can create a uni-boob situation. Just something to consider when trying dresses on1 -

I hear you, and thankfully there is no uni-boob situation with the single-shouldered dress! The one on the left fits and looks nice, but wasn't really anything special beyond the deeper V neck.2 -
Weight loss is moving much slower than when I first started back in March when I had 2-4 lb losses a week. I am in Ketosis and have been for a week or more. My lowest weight this week was 155, I thought of posting that weight but I figured today is the day that matters.

Not too surprised here. Life is all good. I'm in the 220s. Woot!4 -
Narrowed my goal range from 140-150 to 140-143, which is working. BUT the little girl in me (who has been fat for sixty years) really really wants to see the numbers keep going down. Her voice argues that there are still pockets of fat; and maybe the skin will keep shrinking, so "how's about if we shoot for 135, yes, yes, yes???"
Besides, size 8 is now slightly too big and size 6 is really fun for a 5'9" woman to think about. Forgive me for enjoying this so much. I wish everyone else the happiness that comes from eradicating a lifelong addiction. Keto is my fairy godmother.
I'm not tracking food anymore. Keto keeps me from binging. It only takes content control (YES: protein, veggies and fat / NO: carbo-horrific trigger foods). So if I watch what goes into my mouth, everything else falls into place without much challenge.

Went on vacation last weekend and didn’t have access to a scale, so I’m using my Friday weight as my starting point this month. Gained 2 pounds while on vacation, lost it all by Friday and then gained back a bit this weekend from lack of water. It happens
I did buy my “goal pants” and surprisingly, I can get them on and zipped, but they are super tight and I have squishy parts hanging over the top (and I definitely couldn’t sit in them). Just a little bit more to go!
My goal for the month was to exercise 3x a week and I’ve yet to do actual planned exercise. But I’ve been on my feet all week so I at least don’t feel awful about it. Maybe this week. Maybe.

Woot! The scale moved down! Yesterday was also a measurement day for me (I weigh every Sunday, and measure every other Sunday)...Ive lost a total of 8" from my hips, and 3" from each thigh! This more than anything is very exciting!

I think I did pretty well over Halloween and bonfire night. Made some keto desserts and had some treat meals like a burger with keto bun and liver patty for bonfires. Heavenly strawberry cream pie for dessert. Kept within my limits.
I hope to be at or lower than 9 stone 5 (132) by Xmas eve.
I plan on cheating for the 3 days around Xmas, New years then my birthday on the 9th Jan. I know I'll gain a bit, but these things are once a year. I haven't anything worth cheating for until maybe Easter. In-between and after it's keto all the way. Anyone else cheating on Xmas?3 -

@larkspur94 Yup. Absolutely; there are pies that I make once or twice a year (Thanksgiving & Christmas). Will I make the usual 2 - 4 for each holiday? Probably not; but I will still make and eat one per holiday.2 -

Comparing 18 July to now.. it's night and day. I was starving at 2,676 calories and starting to feel lack of carbs. Yesterday (12 Nov) I splurged on a chocolate bar (85% dark, still keto friendly) and 1/3 cup of eggnog, which I didn't realize was so stupidly sweet.. and still ended my day at 1,906 calories and satiated the entire day.5 -
