I squeaked into the 160s by the end of November, and I was absolutely thrilled! I don't think I can make it into the 150s by the end of December, but man, wouldn't that be an amazing holiday gift to myself! I took Tgiving "off" from keto, and went right back into it the next day. It worked pretty well (though I did have a massive headache Black Friday morning from all the carbs, I think), so that is my plan for getting through all the treats and such on Christmas.

I originally started Keto in 2014 after reached my highest weight of 211. With Keto and exercise, I was able to lose 71 lbs! Unfortunately, I got lazy and my thyroid decided to start dying and my weight has crept back up. I'm starting back on Keto before it gets out of control.
so I added my start weight and December 2nd weigh-in to the spreadsheet.
WV_Fit give yourself a little credit! According to my calculations you’ve managed to lose and keep off about 45 pounds over 4 years. That is quite an accomplishment. Glad to see you want to come back to keto. Keto has literally saved my health, but like you I have strayed, and gained back a bunch of weight I worked hard to get off.
How about we form a pact to make the rest of December the best keto month of this year? I’ll watch your back, if you’ll watch mine. Starting today I’m going to log all I eat, good or bad, for the rest of this month. I’m going to try to impress you and all our keto friends by being keto clean. However, I will not cheat about logging. Everything that crosses my lips will make it on my log. Including the white chocolate pumpkin scone, I had this morning on the way home from exercise. OOPS!

@CentaurusSoter you are an inspiration to me! You’ve done so amazingly this year and are very disciplined! Good for you! I ALSO tried going back to the higher-carb lifestyle in November and realized (much to my surprise) that I hate it! The things I thought I was missing (scones, sugary drinks, French fries, chips) gave me heartburn, joint pain, bloating and intestinal discomfort. I finally realized that I LOVE KETO!!!!3

Oh dear oh dear!! Well one richly deserved and totally expected weight gain of 8.8 pounds!! Actually I've been so very far off keto and diet since 11th November I'm delighted it isn't more!
However I'm sitting here, in my own bed for the first time since we headed off to India, having gotten back last night, with my early morning coffee and cream in hand so the getting back into keto and being a fat burner has made an immediate start. That's what counts folks, not the gains but the starting back! Only two weeks till Christmas though but at least I'm not thinking I'll just wait until January..............that way total madness lies!
So here we go again:
Start weight Sept 2017 184
Weight 11/11/18 151.4
today 12/09 160.2 (+8.8)
Good luck everyone and carry on the good work!4 -

My sinuses closed up this morning at like 5am, and I chugged water before I had a chance to weigh in, so I'm going with yesterday's result. I hit 158 in mid-November, so this pound has taken over three weeks to drop (mostly because of Thanksgiving eating, so I'm not too frustrated about it). 21 pounds down, 19 to goal!
It's been a busy weekend, as we prepare for my parents to fly out from the west coast on the 18th and stay with us for Christmas. My husband and I bought a project house just over a year ago, and we are finally finishing the second bedroom. This time last week, I was stressed and worried we wouldn't get it done in time, but we are almost ready to prime and paint! You guys have no idea how excited I am that this is happening... while this room has sat empty (because we needed to renovate), all the stuff that will go in there is currently spread throughout the rest of the house... disassembled pull out couch, dressers, chest, etc... I cannot wait until it all goes where it all belongs!!!3 -

This week saw me break the 70lbs lost barrier, which is at least 33% of my overall goal. I'm back at 69, but that's fine. I'm in this for long term. It would be really cool to hit 310 by next sunday, but that would be pushing it a bit. I might break 299.9lbs before NYD, but if I don't, I know I will by the second or third week of January.
Good luck and happy dieting to all!PrincesseAly23 wrote: »@CentaurusSoter you are an inspiration to me! You’ve done so amazingly this year and are very disciplined! Good for you! It's a bit weird for me to read that I to inspire anyone. I feel so lazy doing keto, but I am doing strict keto. I just track anything I eat or drink, and on top of that hit my workout goals of 5 days a week. It becomes entry by rote after a while, and that probably is why I feel lazy doing it anymore.
I don't see my november as a waste, because I did still lose weight overall, and I know for sure that I cannot go back to high carb. I know that I can handle 125 carbs in a day if I must, and still function semi-normally.. but normal carb is never going to be my diet again. I just can't.
I'm glad that what I am doing is having a positive effect on someone else. We're all here for a specific reason, and any help I can give to someone else trying to lose weight, gain weight, maintain, or just try a different way of eating is help I'll gladly give.

On this date last year, I weighed over 210 pounds. My doctor said I was prediabetic, had high blood pressure, was obese and had several other issues contributing to my overall poor health condition. In short, my health condition hit rock bottom. I started to question and look at the behaviors/actions that got me to this place. I needed to change my ways.
I discovered a crazy idea about eating high fat, moderate protein and low carbs. Keto made promises that I would not only lose weight, but I would regain my brain, reduce joint pain and rejuvenate my mood. It took me about another month to pull the trigger on this crazy idea, but guess what? It worked as advertised!
Today I weigh 177.8 pounds. I’ve lost and maintained an over 30-pound weight loss, for almost one year. In addition, my brain fog, joint pain and bad mood has diminished significantly. Thanks to keto I’m back on the road to good health.
However, I’ve still got work to do. I struggle with fidelity to keto! I know I’m at my best when I’m keto clean, but the holidays keep chipping away at my discipline. For example, I’ve been keto clean for 3 days in a row. Unfortunately, I must admit, that is the longest string of keto clean days I’ve managed over the holidays. My goal is not to be a keto robot over the holiday, but to minimize the times I get kicked off the keto wagon.
Family, friends and events require me to put myself in non-keto friendly situations during this season. I look forward to and will not avoid any of these opportunities that test my keto fidelity. However, I will fight to stay and/or get back on the keto wagon as much as possible during the season. Happy Holidays to all. I Keto!

If you’re getting headaches, it could be an electrolyte imbalance. Are you keeping an eye on your sodium intake?0 -

Ketorade is great. I add a quarter teaspoon of lite salt to my workout bottles, and do 2-3 of those. Works wonders for post workout recovery. I don't feel dangerously dehydrated.2 -

Dec goal: 265 (or lower)…I hit 260s several times during the week last month (only once on a record keeping day), but kept creeping up. I am hoping to have a net loss of at least 5 lbs (the net loss of 1 lb in Nov is rather underwhelming and depressing)
Monday 12/03: 270.4
Monday 12/10: 271.6
Monday 12/17

That was a depressing weigh-in; not even sure what I did to trigger it. All week during my daily OCD checks I was well under that, almost to my December goal, and then from Saturday morning to Sunday morning I gained 6 pounds. I did manage to lose 5 of that by this morning. And then i looked at my 3 month graph…less than 10 lbs over the last three months. But, with that said, I am down 6 pants sizes (even lower than when I lost 130 lbs 5 years ago) and I fit in them comfortably (at least this brand; the other brand i got in the same size is too small still; but doing better than 3 months ago).2 -
Biggster69 wrote: »Had to raise my carbs a little, these super low carbs gave me headaches every day.
I agree - many times my headaches are due to not enough sodium. Low carb is a natural diuretic, so your body is more easily depleted of electrolytes. I take a magnesium supplement, make sure I get enough potassium from food (potassium supplements can be dangerous) and also stay on top of sodium. If I get a headache, that is often the culprit - broth can help.
