Hello guys! Today has been crazy. I'm currently sitting in tech for my show, waiting for the next part to start. We open tomorrow. The kids are dong a great job, but man these days are crazy. Though I did hit my step goal yesterday and I'm pretty sure I will again today.
I'm feeling better. Less achey mostly, though still kind of wiped. I am very much looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday!
Yesterday I didn't get home from tech until almost 10. Jason made dinner and had it waiting fo rme (he's a good one). Another home chef, chicken stuffed with mozzarella, withe a spinach and roasted artichoke heart salad with a lemon basalmic dressinig. It was really good! But only about 600 cals. And jason burned his hand on the pot (he's fine now), so the rest of the night was taking care of him.
went from work to tech today, so I inhaled some sushi, about 600 cals, and some cheese wrapped in proscuito to get my calories up to 1100. A lot of sodium again today, but the calories are there, so just need to keep telling myself eventually the sodium will go away. I'm down 2.5 poundns from yesterday, so the bloat is working it's way out!

    Hello everyone! Happy Monday!
Man, what a weekend. The show opened on Thursday, and the kids killed it. I work with a high school group, but we really push them to work at a professional level. I'm super proud of what they accomplished. Though the adult staffed designed the production, nearly everything was executed by the kids. Thursday I had Zoe's Kitchen before the show (a lamb pita with a side of falafel) and I splurged on a cookie. Those 600 calories were with it. The adults went out after to celebrate opening night, and I didn't eat anything, since it was out of my window. Super proud of that, too.
Friday Jason came to see the show, so we grabbed (more) sushi before hand. Sushi might be my biggest weakness.
Saturday I knew the adults were going out again, so I stretched my fasting muscles just a little and didn't eat until then. It was only 30 hours, but I felt like I could have gone farther. So far, that's my longest fast. I'm kind of proud of it.
On Saturday I weighed 157.0 even! I know that's only .6 pounds lost for last week, but I'm still pretty proud of it. That is all of my Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years weight gone. 4 more lbs and I'll be back to straight losing.
Yesterday we had a home chef. Steak Moutarde with sweet potatoe wedges, some leftover garlic bread from takeout last sunday, and some more mozzarella and proscuitto. That's becoming my go to snack. So tasty, so much protien.
Today is another home chef. I told Jason to choose, so not sure what it'll be just yet. I'm slightly back up this morning, but not concerned about that at all.
Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with you all this week.

Oh man, has it been a week. I am almost out of words to describe it. There was work drama with a job I didn't even have (and tried to turn down, twice). My mom's sweet dog has a cancerous tumor. And it's negative degrees out. I also got my period, and somehow, I am always surprised that I never lose weight on my period. Get's me every time.
BUT, the job stuff is settled (third time is the charm). I have auditions for my spring show next week (we're doing Spamalot and I'm super excited). And my period should be ending today or tomorrow. I had some rough eating days this week, because I stress ate. Lots of cheese on Monday. Ice cream on Tuesday. And everything in sight on Wednesday. But the calories weren't terrible, averaging 1400 instead of 1000-1200, and yesterday I was back on track.

Today we've got another home chef, Piccata chicken with Brussel sprouts, about 550 calories. Will eat something else to get that number up around 1000.

    Have a wonderful weekend, guys.

Hey everyone! I'm going to catch up with you all soon, because you're awesome!
I have auditions for my show starting tonight. I'm really excited. We've filled all but one time slot, so we should have a great turn out.
Last night we had steak tacos and some Dubliner cheese. If you like cheese, this a good one. And because I'm going to be so busy today and tomorrow, I'm trying my first extended fast. Through tomorrow at lunch is my hopeful. Tomorrow dinner is my stretch goal, and Thursday lunch or dinner is my pie in the sky goal. I think I can definitely make it to tomorrow lunch, at least. Auditions should distract me plenty.
On Saturday I was 155.8! I was super excited to see that number. And then went to a birthday party Saturday night and a Superbowl party Sunday night. Not bad calories wise, but ooph, the sodium. Worth it for the fun, but I'm working the water weight off again. It's a vicious cycle! But seeing 155 on the scale was really exciting. If I can make it through for a full fast I know I'll see it again in no time. Definitely heading in the right direction.
Also, thanks for all the well wishes for my mom's dog. She's working on getting an appointment with a specialist, and we'll see what his options are. He's a bulldog, and he'll be 10 in April. He's a very sweet boy. And so far, he doesn't seem to be in any pain at all or even impacted by the tumor. So we'll take it one day at a time with him.

Dubliner is so good! Kerrygold is the brand that makes it. It's kind of sweet, but has a little bit of tang. It's not a very strong cheese. But it's great by itself and is even better on crackers. It also has a fun texture, with those little crystal granules in it.

    Hey gang.
Fasting is still going strong. I'm at 43 hours, and I think I'll break my fast for dinner before auditions, which will give me just short of 48. This will be my longest fast ever, and I'm amazed at how good I feel. I'm not really hungry. Though I want to eat because I love food. But I feel lighter and I actually have pretty great energy. I didn't even notice not eating yesterday because I was so busy. I've been doing some reading about the positive impacts of fasting on brain health, in particular how it seems to prevent or lesson the onset and symptoms of Parkinson's. I'm going to try to incorporate some more fast days in the future.

Not sure what I'll break the fast with yet. I do have another round of auditions tonight. It hasn't been too long and my stomach feels pretty good, so I might try solid food, and something high in sodium to replace the electrolytes.
Also, I know it's because there is no food in my stomach, but I had a 2 pound drop over night. That's pretty damn motivating.
I know a few of you have talked about fasts. How do you feel about them?

You are doing awesome!!!! I have done a 48 hour one before and was hungry around the 24 hour mark but after that it was a breeze. I almost felt like I was on a "high" or something I was so energized and felt so light and motivated. Once I recover a bit more I plan to add those into my plan as well because I did well on it. I haven't done one longer than that though so I am not sure how those would be!

Wow!! 48 hours fast? That's amazing! I can never go longer than 26 hours. Having 2 kids & hubby who can eat anything and don't gain weight makes it harder for me to fast longer. They will be around me eating this and that and it doesn't help me at all. 6lbs loss for the month of Jan is amazing! Congrats! May I know how tall are you? I am a shortie - 5 feet 2.5

NICE WORK on your long fast babe! Aren't they awesome?! FLUSHING out that salt and glycogen AND the number on the scale both feel great! This is why I do extended fasts AT LEAST weekly. The mental benefits are amazing, the immune boost is AMAZING (and necessary for ME), and the weight loss and blood sugar effects speak for themselves :)

Once you're used to it and as long as you ease into it, it's really not that hard - especially days where you're distracted (every f**king day for me bc work is cray cray LOL). PLUS it allows you so much more relaxed eating on your off days - at least for me. It won't work for everyone but I think it's worth a try for anyone :)

Great work, keep it up babe!
