This week will be my biggest week as I have decided to prioritise walking over other exercise, going for a walk every day, rain or shine.1 -
As we near the end of the month, I was wondering how people are going in meeting their goals?February Goals
- Exercise daily (walk, yoga, swim)
- Stick to diet
- Strive to get under 245lbs
- Make/eat some lactofermented saurkraut, veges, drinks. (New for me).
My progress so far:- I've exercised 17 days out of 23, and for this final week am doubling down on the "every day" goal. This is a huge improvement on where I was in January.
- I've stuck to my diet 22 days of 23. Only went off my diet one day, for one meal, went over my calories by about 100 cal.
- Today I weighed in at 249 lbs, so I probably won't get to 245lbs by the end of the month, however, it has been a 12lbs loss so far and I should be able to lose another pound or so by the end of the month to get very close to my goal.
- I've made sauerkraut and fermented Carolina slaw, and am in the process of making fermented ginger beer. I've been able to eat the sauerkraut, but the Carolina slaw won't be ready for a couple weeks. These are rich in probiotic bacteria, so is all about gut health.

Hi, I previously posted I wasn’t getting great steps in (also forget to post) so was looking for someone to take over. I think Laurie has taken the reigns now so I’m happy with that! I’m still getting over this 2-month cold (SO fun, lol.) so energy is lacking. Maybe in a few months I’ll be walking the 5 miles home from work like I was last summer and I’ll be itching to be let back in! Well, let’s not get ahead of ourselves Hahahaha

Happy with a loss this week! I was actually mad at myself because it could have been more but the night before weigh in I had a binge so I could have had 2-3lbs off instead. I was convinced I’d maintain again so thought ‘eff it’. Idiot. {{I HAVE TO STOP BEING MEAN TO MYSELF!! Give yourself a break, Lorraine. Jings.}}
I totally forgot that “this month’s diet is next month’s body” - and this time last month I was off work for a week with flu and hardly ate a bite all week! D’oh! Coulda capitalised on that, but here’s to this coming week... as long as Mother Nature shows a bit of mercy lol.
