    First week started good, then we got off track just trying to get the hang of things. Started back strong yesterday. And found some great recipes this weekend. Cloud bread, raspberry cheesecakes fat bombs, OMG....

    03/12/19- My first week in Keto. Down 3 pounds. ah-ha moment yesterday when I realized the pepperoni and salami I like so much and reach for is full of sodium. Lesson learned. Today will be new.

    Hello! After dealing with some female hormone issues, I started tracking macros again - I have about 35lbs to lose to get my desired weight.

    After two weeks, I started noticing this weird taste in my mouth and was dropping weight & I was going about 12-14 hours without being hungry. Totally new for me. The weight I could reason was water weight but that taste & the no hunger???... so Google told me it’s likely from low carb/keto. I went back and looked at my logs and realized that I had been in the very low carb range. Cravings had pretty much disappeared too.

    So I thought ok... why not keep it this way since I’ve been happy, feel full etc. I’m not a huge carb lover anyway... popcorn & French fries are about it for me. So I’m LEARNING how to eat better and in such a way to keep me fuller longer. 😊😊😊

    (Loss of 25” and 26.6 Lbs!)

    First weight back in 2019: 193.4 lbs
    Current Weight as of Feb 28th: 188.0

    New goals:
    See 182.9 before the end of March!
    See the 70’s before my husband’s bday in May
    See the 60’s by my bday in September
    Ultimate Goal Weight: 145

    03/03 - 187.4 Yay! It’s finally moving!
    03/10 - 188.0 I don’t understand what’s happening here. I’ve been sooooo good. But I’ve also increased my exercise so maybe that’s it?
    03/17 - 186.6 Yay! Back down where I should be. :smile:

    Back on track and losing weight again. I am definitely a size 14 now, so I spent the weekend cleaning out my closet and getting rid of all my XL (18 & 16) clothing. what a great feeling.

    That is so awesome and a really great feeling (to not be craving)! I have been "off the wagon" and it is HARD when you are at the stage where all you can think about is food - where I am at right now. Thanks for the reminder that this too will pass and I'll be back being fat adapted again soon and I can stop thinking about all the things I'm missing!

    Thank you for commiserating with me :) I'm glad to be 'back' and I rely on this group and my other MFP friends as well. There are a few (you included!) who have stuck with me through my craziness and cheered me on when I needed it - thank you!

    I FINALLY have access to MFP on my desktop and my phone - not being able to post in certain parts of the app or see my feed really kept me off of here. I am not sure what fixed it (I had tried everything to no avail) but it seems I have access again!

    Hi friends!! Happy to be back on the keto wagon!! I've spent the last few days cooking up a storm and doing tons of meal prepping. I'm determined to minimize obstacles so that I have smooth sailing back to fat adaptation.

    I've joined a fitness challenge and am logging diligently. It won't take long to lose what I've gained over the past few months.

    Carbs give me serious inflammation and water retention. That's why I went keto in the first place, as an anti-inflammatory diet. I was a walking water balloon, and so achey & sore!! When I first went keto, I dropped 40 lbs in 2 months JUST from water. My cells and joints were sooooo happy. I do pack weight on unreasonably fast if I eat carbs, because I inflame and hold water, but then it also drops pretty fast when I stop.

    I tried just being gluten free and not low carb, and that certainly did help. I wasn't sore but I did still retain water. Keto is the only thing I've found that heals my inflammation completely.

    Lately,I plan my meals and fill my diary before I prepare and eat now.So, I can eat the right amounts and the right proportions of foods.I started 16/8 IF properly too.I'll try to lose weight a bit faster .
