NSV: I've been swimming laps as an alternative to running (my joints don't let me run anymore). I'm up to 60 minutes of swimming straight which is a 700+ calorie burn. It's boring of course but I'm also getting a tan on my dorsel fin.5

Sorry I got a little behind. I've been moving very little this past week due to feeling ill and dealing with another round of vertigo. I'm hoping to get it under control hopefully after seeing another specialist at the end of this month. I need to be able to function like a normal person again.
oh no. Vertigo is the absolute worst. I have it, luckily not that often, but mine last a couple weeks each, and usually end up in the ER the day it starts due to severe dehydration. Ive seen multiple doctors and specialists and tried different meds, had all kinds of tests done and they found nothing wrong. Finally I went to a chiropractor and have not had one in a few years.
I sure hope they can find whats causing it and help you. I would not wish that on anyone.
I had it under control for a while along with my migraines but it has really flared up the past few months. I increased a medicine this last week to try and help it and I'm going to see an audiologist at the end of the month to see if it may be an inner ear problem. I have so many PRN meds to help I feel like a walking medicine cabinet sometimes. Vertigo really is the worst feeling, I would rather be sick of have some type of pain than just feel dizzy and nauseous.1 -

That is so sad to see. A beautiful cathedral gone or at least will never be the same again.0

It is worse than any pain Ive ever experienced. I explain it to people that its like im on a marry go round at the park spinning, but it doesnt stop, It slows down after I throw up, but doesnt stop. after a day or 2 its not so much spinning, but im literally dizzy for 2 weeks, so bad I cant drive, and can barely walk. I cant even watch things that spin now without feeling sick. All they have ever given me is Valium, and that doesnt do anything, but In the ER I have to tell them not to give it to me in IV form because it makes me so mad and almost hallucinate, like when I went to bed I dreamed all night I was in a war and my tent kept falling, my husband told me I kept yelling and throwing the blanket off the bed. When I was pregnant though, they admitted me into labor and delevery, and my doctor gave me different meds that stopped the spinning, and made me sleep so I asked for a prescription of those, lol and thats what I ask for now.0 -

That's terrible. I always say it's like if you've ever been really drunk and the you can feel everything spinning and you know you're standing still but can actually see things like the walls and furniture moving. I can lay on my bed and look at the wall or ceiling and can actually see them moving but I know I'm not moving at all. I have a couple of prescription meds to take when this happens, zofran and meclizine for the nausea and vertigo. Rizatriptan for the vestibular migraine which causes no pain but basically a vertigo migraine. I don't get sick often but when I have an issues it always seems to be something with my head. Who knows?!0 -

Yes its like the drunken spins except sober. I only get sick the first part because it actually feels like im spinning, but after I get sick, then it changes to what you described. I literally NEVER throw up unless vertigo hits, then its a guarantee.0 -
