Just wanted to share some success. I've been doing Keto and intermittent fasting (8 hour eating window) and I feel awesome! I'm hardly ever hungry even though I'm eating so much less. I come in at my calorie target or below almost every day and it doesn't even feel hard. I know different methods work for different bodies but I think I may have finally found mine! We'll see if it's effective, it's only been 2 weeks and I don't like to check progress so soon because I know it takes time and don't want to feel discouraged.

Thanks @Jennfolee.... I'm doing some work with a therapist right now too, EMDR plus the CBT 'Safe Place' and 'Container' stuff. I Intermittently Fast for 16 hrs a day, probably that's the only reason I'm not higher in weight than I already am, lol. I am totally off work right now (100% wages paid) so I can concentrate on this as 'hopping right back on the horse' didn't work as I hoped it might.

4/8 - 144.0 Shocked at this drop. Fully expecting a slow down this week.
4/15 - 145.1. UGH. Wrong direction. I was down to 143.7 earlier in the week, but the weekend did me in. Went to a party with great food and open bar Saturday night, yesterday out for brunch and my daughter baked a cake. I was hoping not to go overboard since Easter is this weekend and I know there will be so much food at my in-laws. Will do my best to stay on track this week and watch portions at Easter.
4/22 - 145.7. Not happy! Was sick last week so less movement and ate way too much. Let's hope that next week I have a better update.

Have been on diet + exercise this past week and looking to be around 110 - 108. Am following 950 cals/ day!
I find it much easier to be on 950 when I cook :)

So the weekend was hard. I had gone off the Keto wagon and over ate Carbs... But I started back on Sunday and I am in gear. But the sesame bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon as well as Saag paneer with rice was soooo good. It was totally worth it. :D

I am so close to the 140's now! I didn't get to do my long run this weekend because it did nothing but rain. It's really weird, though, I'm not hungry at all today.

I know you have a small frame (5 foot tall), but 950 calories sure sounds low! Don’t go too low. It can have adverse health effects such as with your hormones and metabolism, just to name a few.

I was Keto/very low carb for a while. It wasn't working with my distance running so I just try to limit simple carbs as much as possible.

    Ugh.
Up to 152 mid week, but at least I'm now back down again to 149. That must be my 'real weight' and the upticks are just water/stress/gut upset/meds trashin' wit me! Anyhow still truckin' along...
My nephew is getting married early Sept and I want to look good in the dress I have planned to wear. I think I would break the stitching right now :p .

I’m aiming to have ten pounds off by June 2nd, so I’m in!

    CW ~152
    GW 142

I do strength training with dumbbells and bodyweight work three times a week and fit in cardio when I can. I prefer running or hiking and am hoping to get to it more often now that the weather is getting nice. I also have a 15k daily step count I try to meet as often as possible.
I didn’t think I’d come anywhere near this goal because my loss rate totally tanked compared to where it was before, but today I weighed in at 144.4 so I’m definitely closer than I expected to be. It’s going really slowly now, but at least it’s still going. The past few weeks it has felt like nothing at all is happening. I’m training for a half marathon so I’ve kept my deficit very minor so I have the energy for running so it’s mostly been less than a half pound per week, but I just dropped a pants size so those half pounds do add up!

IF is intermittent fasting! There are several different types, but I don’t know much more than that.

Gotta’ be honest and confess that I am a bit frustrated. The numbers on the scale are fluctuating in the 133-135 range. I get a little hopeful each time I see a 133 but it will not STAY down. I have been hovering here for over a month, stuck in Plateau-land!

So, I am trying to keep my focus on other things, like celebrating healthy choices and making fitness gains. I am definitely exercising more. This weekend I was able to wear some shorts that I could not button a month ago. YAY! And probably MOST IMPORTANTLY, I am trying to shut up my inner self-critic, and appreciate my body just as it is right now! I mean seriously, I would never let someone talk about my best friend the way I talk about myself. This has been a rough year with a LOT of major stress, so I am trying to extend more compassionate to myself, and be more patient too. I have stopped the gaining, (I was down below 120 lbs in 2017) and I have lost a little weight in the past 2 months. Those are steps in the right direction.

Bravo! This is the best, most sustainable way to do it! A half pound a week equals 26 lbs in a year. Heck, even just a quarter pound a week equals 13 pounds gone at the end of the year! Also, I would venture a guess that due to the amount of exercise you are doing, you may be losing more fat than the number on the scale indicates. Perhaps the scale is not dropping as quickly because you are also gaining some muscle, which is AWESOME!
