Weigh in week: May Week 5
Weigh in day: Thursday
Previous Week's weight: 217.8
Todays Weight: 217
No complaints here ☺️
If my numbers are right I had a total loss of 9.5 lbs in May and a little more than 4% loss total. This is a slow but sustainable loss path though my first week was the best I won’t likely see more than 2lbs at a time. Onward and upward!5 -

@enyagoboom, great work on the scales, especially after the long weekend that you were worried about! Your numbers are absolutely right, and you are right...it is a sustainable rate of loss!!

***Just a little side note. Although Pam and I are the only ones on TBBT that can enter weights into the spreadsheet, it is available for everyone else to view. One can check their numbers whenever they like!!3

Finally got in to see the orthopedic doctor! He said the clinic I went to shouldn't have told me to use a sling, it only created more stiffness in my shoulder. Based on my symptoms and the location of the pain, he told me I have some type of tendonitis(I can't remember). I declined the cortisone shot, but made an appointment to get it on Friday, in case the anti-inflammatory he prescribed doesn't help. If all goes well, I will be able to get back to the gym and work on Monday! *happy dance*
For now, I'm just taking it easy!
@cmhubbard92, I am glad you got some anti inflammatory pills finally!! Yes, take it easy and be prepared to be patient. I fear this make take longer to heal that you are expecting. (hugs)3 -

@enyagoboom, I wear NB, too, only the 860's. I have no idea what the difference is! My foot specialist recommended the Saucony Hurricane as a stability shoe for running, but I have no desire right now to drive to the city, downtown at that, to find a pair to try them on! He looked at my NB and said they were good, too. I also have some different insoles that he recommended. The right shoes make all the difference!!2 -

@HASWLRS thank you! I am trying to be patient, and I really hope you're wrong, Haha!
I wish today was my weigh in! I'm down another 2.2lb since Tuesday! TOM really likes to push the weight away, when I'm at a standstill for most of the month!1 -

@cmhubbard92, I hope I am wrong, too!! Now you have two reasons to be patient...your sore arm healing and waiting for weigh-in day!!2 -

my limited understanding is the higher the number, the firmer the sole? That was what an orthepedic doctor told me years back. But still, the difference between the 860 and 880 must be negligible.
i tried on a brooks shoe as well - so comfortable! it felt like clouds on my feet and i ended up saying no to them because they were *too* comfortable. we have running stores around us that will do a video of your stride and fit you from there. i'm hoping that if i can do decently over the summer with my c25k i will like running enough to do one of their running clubs. i need to meet more people lol.
oh, and i have a 5k this weekend for work! gonna walk most of it I'm sure, but still, it'll give me something to improve on this fall3 -
Apparently my doctor was either wrong or using outdated info: https://support.newbalance.com/hc/en-us/articles/210563528-What-do-the-model-numbers-mean-
haha. whoops!

Good luck on your 5k!!! That is exciting! Try to pace yourself slowly, and save your energy for the end!!!3 -

Thanks! I'm looking forward to it It's my 5th one ever, but it's been two years since my last attempt, and my first time since working on walking an hour every other day and jogging a little. I don't expect greatness in my time, but I definitely expect to feel accomplished at the end and enjoy the wine! (It's a wine event haha, just need to go with what motivates me )4 -
