WELCOME TO TEAM WORKOUT WARRIORS TEAM CHAT ROOM

This chat room provides a place for the CHALLENGERS to meet and chat about the challenge, discuss any issues, post comments, share ideas, etc...

We are beginning the AUGUST Challenge - We have six (6) teams returning this month!!

Captain’s responsibilities include:
* Entering weights for your team into the spreadsheet.
* Be active in team discussions, encouraging and supporting the challengers as they post.
* Encourage challengers to participate in challenges and in group discussions.
* Post daily / weekly challenges and topics to promote team involvement and help keep the team engaged.
* Participate in team discussions encouraging team participation.
* Help remind challengers when they are due to post (and especially when overdue to post) weights.
* Encourage participation in the moderators challenge and in the weekly team challenges.
* Remind your challengers to enter their weights on time by tagging them or messaging them when they are pending.
* Answering any questions that may come up about challenges, weigh-ins, the spreadsheets etc.

Motivator’s Responsibilities include:

* Encourage challengers to participate in challenges and in group discussions.
* Participate in team discussions encouraging team participation.

HOW OUR CHALLENGES WORK:
We have 4 total possible challenges and NONE are mandatory. Our challengers can do none or all it's up to them. So we have...

The F2F Weekly TEAM Challenge - posted each week on Sunday in the announcements by the team who is assigned that particular week (see above for your week). This is for the F2F Group as a whole.

F2F Moderators Challenge/Topic of the week - This challenge is provided each week in the announcements area. One of the moderators will either provide a challenge that will involve anything fitness, health, and nutrition.

Individual Team challenges - these are challenge done within your own team. You can chose daily, weekly, or monthly challenges (weekly seems to work best). You can make this whatever you wish as long as it's health and fitness related.

Note: If for some reason your team is unable to provide the weekly challenge please let me know ahead of time so another team can take your place or so I can provide the challenge.

Good Luck Teams: Please let us know if there is anything wrong or if you notice something that needs to be fixed or modified. Everything seems ready to go for AUGUST. Registrations are almost done and we have quite a few new challengers. Make sure you are going into your new team threads to welcome anyone who has started posting. Let’s make our newbies feel welcome and show them some F2F love!!

    Hello,
    My name is Kim. I live in FL. I am 1 of the 3 captains on the team. I try my best to be here for the group when I can. I am here to hopefully get some motivation to eat better and lose some weight. It's a tough road to be on here lately. I have gained 10 lbs in the last few months and can't seem to get my mojo back. I want August to be a great month for all of us looking to get closer to our goals. Together we can get there!!

    I'm working on my goals for August too. We had a houseguest for 6 weeks this summer and it wasn't really working out for me so I did a lot of stress eating. Now I'm trying to identify my problem areas and correct them!

    For the August goal sheet my goals are:

    1. Track everything
    2. Stay within 200 calories of my daily goal
    3. Snack healthy - no sugary foods or white bread etc for snacks

    I've accomplished all 3 for the first 3 days of August!

    I also realized I've been slacking off in exercise. I still get lots of steps but walking 18 holes of golf and leisurely walks with the dogs doesn't exactly get my heart rate up so I'm trying to get better about doing some intense workouts 2-3 days/week. But that's not really a daily goal so I'm leaving it off the goal chart.

    Hopefully August will be a great month for us all!

    Good morning!

    Step team : count me in! Greg has me on Fitbit so I’m ready to roll. My step goal will be 12,000 a day.

    Weekly goals: no eating past 8:00pm, track everything, no alcohol until I hit 190

    I’ll do a quick intro here! I’m 37 with 2 kids aged 8 and 4. I’m a teacher so I’m currently off for the summer - I find it the hardest time to stay on track since I’m doing a lot more entertaining, the temptations are everywhere, and I’m at home.

    I never thought of myself as a yo yo dieter but over the last three or four years I’ve been fluctuating from 190 to 160 and now way up to 200 pounds. CICO works like a dream for me. I can’t complain that I have poor metabolism or any other condition that hinders weight loss, I simply eat far more calories than I burn. When I get that in check, I lose. I struggle to keep the food out of my mouth.

    The past couple months have been a wake up call: my feet and ankles are always sore. I know what I need to do.

    I have a month until school begins. I need to go back the healthiest and happiest person I can be.

    Hey peeps. Checking in with some housecleaning:

    Yes, I want to be on the step team! I am upping my goal to 10,500. Got in 10,000 every day since June 2 until August 3 : ( :(:( My phone died, I was out with friends (eating and drinking naturally) and I lost track of time to get in all sorted out before midnight. I got in extra yesterday to compensate so am feeling better about the snafu, but still.

    August 1 - 10,045
    August 2 - 9,572 :(
    August 3 - 11,097

    Also, Fitness327wk, here are my weekly goals for the first week of August:

    1. Steps: 10,500
    2. Track my food-I've been bad about this lately.
    4. Bring my lunch and not eat the Pop Chips in my cabinet.
    5. No random wine at home.

    Funny that you posted this. I was just looking up different ideas for meal prepping. I seem to be getting tired of the same old stuff. I notice that I have meals in the fridge prepped and I still find myself going to other non healthy things instead.
    Maybe its because I am tired of the same ol stuff. So I am venturing out and going to do some shopping later and maybe try some of these new things. Good luck to all! Hope if you are meal prepping you can come up with some good ideas and share them with us.
