After a massive fall-off-the-wagon in late July and most of August, I think I'm back on track.
I have a gala to attend in 3 weeks, and I need to lose 4-5 pounds (I think, hopefully that will be enough) before that so that I can wear an old dress without bursting the seam 😅😅

I did the beef stew (was really good) and the buffalo chicken (frozen, to be tested soon).

So: all I'm saying is I'm annoyed.....went down 1 pound on Tuesday am, up .5 Wednesday and up again .6 Thursday! WTF what's going on? been good, been Keto and just been out to buy the next size up in trousers for our holiday in Oct as no way am I going to get back into my last year's ones before then! If I do then great and I'm still taking the bigger ones.........ahhhhhhh!3

With the help of my wife I managed to stay keto clean for 6 out of the last 7 days. Friday, we attended a party and I jumped off the wagon for one meal. However, Saturday I was right back on the keto wagon and determined to stay there.
For most of this year I’ve abused events like Friday’s party as an excuse to waiver from keto. I tell myself because I’ve already sabotaged my keto effort, I might as well wait until tomorrow to get back to it. Then the next day I tell myself, I’ll start again tomorrow. I end up repeating that cycle until I’m at or beyond the weight I was when I jumped off the wagon.
I lost 4.2 pounds this week. My only goal this week is to stay keto true and fight off the “I’ll start again tomorrow” tendency I’ve been abusing this year. Let the pounds fall where they may, It’s Keto Clean for me this week!

Made weight loss progress this week, after stalling out last month due to too many carbs! I think I might actually make it under 150 lbs this month!!

WEIGH IN 9/8 is a WINNER! I made my goal for this week.
What I think helped:
I have pledged to be on a streak for not eating after dinner and I have stuck to it. This has created an intermittent fast routine that I think is critical for me and also it cuts down on mindless eating when I am tired. I am not eating calories I don't need at night.

Goal is to lose 1.3 lbs a week - I expect to lose 5 pounds in the month of Sept.
Process goals: eat full meals at 11am, 3pm, and 7 pm. After 7, only protein/MCT shakes. No snacking between meals. Track e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g!
Tricks to help: Chewing gum in the evening and between meals. Rely on drinking tea and broths when I have the feeling that I might start an eating frenzy (but I'm tired and not hungry).
Exercise: running and lifting routine.

This Thursday marks one month on keto. Down almost 16 pounds already? Yes, please! There's still a long way to go, but considering I was 270 as recently as mid-July, I'm thrilled with the results so far.
