CONGRATS on GOAL to @LOVEMYALEX and @GRANDMAJACKIE!
@ANACONDA469 - That sounds like a very admirable, fulfilling, and worthwhile goal to continue to pursue!

I have failed this month. The only day that had good enough weather for a ride, I sat on my rear. I am lacking any motivation to set up the bike on the trainer.
This weekend I am going camping and will hike epic hikes for 3 days. Hoping to kick off November in better spirits.1 -

You know. I have my bike set up on the trainer and my motivation still sucks! I think it is the weird weather we are having, which is not following any kind of norms1 -

From failure we learn. From success, not so much. You will look at what distracted you and do better in November. Consider it a successful failure in that you didn‘t make goal but you will make adjustments so you succeed more in the future. We will all have those months. Life just does that to us. The important part is to learn and get back up. We only truly fail when we quit trying,.2 -

Been stuck cycling indoors lately. 5 degrees F is a littler colder than I‘m used to right now so back to riding on the trainer. On the positive side, the programmers at Zwift have a pretty cool sense of humor. They put haunted pumpkins around the course so as you pass them you keep transforming to a T-Rex on a bike. It‘s hilarious to see all the Dinosaurs riding around the course.2

On my way home from visiting parents in California. Not expecting any miles today so my total stands at 57/50. See you all in November.
Dean - great advice you give Just_Ceci. We can all stand to remember that life is about making adjustments. Thanks1 -
@Just_Ceci: I had to change up what I was doing because I was in a rut and lacked motivation. I changed my time and switched out to trail walks and runs. It has been slow but it has helped. Hang in there. We all go through this.
@Dean: Your bike program sounds like fun...now if the T Rex chased me so I would keep cycling and not slow down; that would be even more fun! I
May I ask if there is anything I can do for a skin sore for my pup. I have her on gel pads as well as an orthopedic bed at night. She has one on her pelvic or hip bone. No muscle, no fat. For adults, we put skin prep on those areas that may break down. Her sore is very mild at this point . I make sure she is rotated or flipped frequently
to take the weight off. Suggestions?
Adding 16 miles today. Yesterday 6 miles walking and today indoor cycling for 10 miles.
TTD: 323 miles....how I hit the 300’s this month is beyond me. Maybe my schedule change has helped.
Happy Halloween!

I got sick twice with a cold this month, and I am in the process of helping my sister move. So, I'm in for November and not counting October.1

I don't see a November thread yet so put me in for 150 for November. The weather is really terrible for riding right now. Too cold and icy for the road bike, and not enough snow for the XC skis. The fat tire works well but 5 mph is good speed on a fat tire in the ice and snow. So 150 miles it is.0
