Weigh In Day: Saturday
PW (Previous Weight): 138.8 lbs (63.1kg)
CW (Current Weight): 137.7 lbs (62.6kg)
I feel like this is a bit of a cheat. My weight (and eating) has been all over the place this week. If yesterday had of been weigh in day I would have shown a gain from last week. But today is a down bounce.
So it gets recorded and I guess I work on trying not to bounce up too much.
63kg is the very edge of overweight for my height according to BMI. So being under 63kg was my first goal. Now my goal is to be solidly under and then move on to a more reasonable weight for my build - I know at about 60kg I’ll be more suitable weight for me.
Well done to everyone else who is losing or who is just continuing to show up even though life isn’t making it easy right now.
@cre804 sorry to hear about your dishwasher. Did you consider just not replacing it? My (American) husband was horrified by my insistence that dishwashers really aren’t necessary when we met but he’s come around to my way of thinking now. Probably helped by the fact I do the dishes 80% of the time :-)2 -

@Xiaolongbao That’s not gonna happen! I was in my 20s before I ever had a dishwasher. My husband always had one so he has never had to do it. It already falls on me to meal plan, shop, cook and clean up. The only time he helps with the dishes is after thanksgiving dinner because I go on strike once I finish serving dinner, lol.

Well, someone brought my kryptonite to work: pizza on Thursday and I was bad and told myself I would have 1 slice and then ate 2. Then I said I would make up for it Friday and my husband brought my favorite donut home from the store. I’m just happy to see a loss at all this week as I was really worried I would be right back up into the 180s.3 -

I'm so sorry everyone. I hate to mess up our average and thought about taking another pass. But I know if I don't hold myself accountable, I will just continue on this slippery slope. I'm not sure if it's the shorter days, cooler nights, or just my own inability to stay focused - but I need to get my act back together.4 -

Considering what has been happening, I am shocked!!! I guess it is the extra non exercise “work” I’ve been doing.
We are about to go on a hunt for gasoline and water. We can boil to drink, but I feel better using bottled water for the baby. These are the two hot commodities at the moment.5 -
Beka3695 Yes excused from September but I am all in for October. Just found out that I have to start going back into the office, I so loved working from home, my furbabies will miss me and I will be lost without them. So I will need to meal prep, plan and get back on a schedule. Hoping the next 2 weeks I can drop a few pounds to kick start Oct.2

Great job everyone, it’s awesome to look at the spreadsheet and see so much green! Unfortunately I’m definitely not in the green, but at least I wiped the dust off my scale (literally) and stepped on it.
Goals for next week:
- Leave home every day, even for a walk
- Weigh in every day, get back to the routine
- go to the gym once
- Log food
I know much of the weight increase is just bloat, I can feel it. My rings are super tight and I’ve been heavier but they’ve never been so tight regularly. I think this might be due to hormonal changes from quitting the pill. I have actual data to back up this hypothesis too: my weight is up and I feel bloated, but my smartscale thinks my body fat percentage has dropped, indicating the gain is something other than fat. I got a body composition test at the end of August and it also indicated significant bloating.
My main goal for the upcoming week is to get back into good habits: frequent exercise, weighing in, logging food and meal planning. Getting back into these habits (especially exercise) sucks, so I don’t have any other goals for this week than the habits. Weight will hopefully follow, but right now my physical and mental health needs the habits more. Hopefully eating more proper food and less chocolate and moving my body a little will get my blood pumping and fluids moving too, so I’d be less bloated.6 -

I feel like I need a re-commitment!
This past week has been trying at best. I totally recognize that I have been eating things that I normally would not eat, like the pumpkin stuffed doughnut x2.... But given the situation, I am allowing myself some grace.
Goals for next week:
- Go for a walk every day
- Stay in contact with my accountability partners
- Load up on veggies
- Get back to Intermittent Fasting - coffee only before noon!!!
- DRINK THE DARN WATER
I did log thru the whole process, but I slacked a bit on the weighing and measuring. Point forward this will happen.
Ok, now everyone in a circle.... but your hands in.... GOOOOOOO TTEEEAAAAMMM!!!!8 -

The Green Challenge Percentage of people who lost weight this week. No matter how small the loss the weights are recorded in green. Remember slow and steady wins the race!3

Day 1 of back into it complete: I weighed in this morning (as stated above), I did my meal plan for the week, did grocery shopping and went to the pharmacy to get more vitamins. We went for a little nature hike, and had roasted veggies with dinner. I’m not even kidding, my rings are looser already. I guess getting some exercise and vegetables every day really does pay off (or at least moves the bloat).2

@LaurieWrobo it never ceases to amaze me how people can turn someone else's celebration into something all about them. Good luck navigating, sometimes Ive seen the drama chill slightly when you actually get to the big day... the lead up can be intense.
@Shandke holding steady is something to be happy about for sure!
@hipari Go you, back with a vengeance! That's a long list of accomplishments today!!!

The best advice I have ever been given is, "Be a duck". I know sometimes it is easier said than done, but let it roll off. The day is not about anyone except your son and his bride. Take whatever drama is coming up and let it just slide right off. Take a deep breath. You deserve to be able to enjoy this time. Don't let them bring you down!3 -
