I am not surprised by the gain due to the pizza and the mini binge last night. My focus this month is binge eating and I wanted to get through the month with minimal gain. I didn’t sleep well last night and was up throughout the night. There is so much to do and my mind is continuously on. I stayed in bed a little later and slept a few hours. My dietitian appointment went well yesterday and focused on how to prevent binges once the stress of moving has settled. We also talked about exercises I can do once I move and have the pool and exercise room available.
I read all the post but did not respond to everyone so I am sorry. I am cheering you all on and am proud of the steps you are making to move forward on your weight loss journey.
My day is going to be all about the move. We are going to get anything else we need new this weekend as we are afraid that our region could move from red to lockdown closing some stores.
Have a super Friday!5 -

Good luck Linda, moving is no fun, but the result will be so much better. Excited for your new home. And I think you're approaching this month very well with all the stress considered. You get a fresh start in your new home for the new year!

I haven’t worked out in two days and I feel so lazy. My back felt better yesterday then I was putting air in the kids blow up sled and felt something pull again. Feels better again today so if I can gather the energy I may try a stretching video. I probably need an alignment at the chiropractor, this happens to me every once in a while and small injuries keep happening. I had a massage scheduled forever for yesterday as a treat to myself before the kids are off for so long but the snow storm canceled that. I can’t get in now until the 29th.
I like this meal plan thus far this week, my meals as much healthier, low calorie and low carb. Snacking still needs work.1 -
Food logged for today.
Over calories.
Slept 9 hours last night.
Walked 3.05 miles in 58 minutes.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 hope you feel better soon. This is such a rough time of year to be sick with so much to do.
@lindamtuck2018 wishing you health and happiness in your new home. This is such a tough time of the year to diet and you have the added stress of a move. Take care of yourself.
@littleflutterby depression is rough no matter what time of year. Hugs to you.2 -

exercise - knee clinic

Check in for Dec. 17 and Dec. 18

Steps - didn't wear my fitbit both days, but I estimate 8000 steps or so
(My walk is about 7000 steps - but I don't do much more as I was teaching sitting down)
Well. It has been tough. Last night or yesterday I just wanted to binge and drink. I didn't do it but it was so tough. I have real problems managing stress and sometimes just emotions. I'm looking at the scale and nothing is happening. My weigh in isn't till Monday, but at my size and weight I should be losing quite fast and I was before so this is frustrating especially since I fought so hard not to binge. I guess I have to remind myself it is a long term goal and with or without weight loss, not binging is a big success.
I got a call regarding the sleep study and I have severe sleep apnea. In 5 hours, they said I stopped breathing 16 times and the rest of the time my oxygen levels were low. I have to call the company supplying the equipment to make a time to set it up. I'm really tired of having so many medical issues, but often they are weight related so it comes back to managing weight.

Hi Lee. That is so great that you reached your December goal early. Congrats! You are doing so great and such an inspiration for me and others I'm sure.
@ScorpioGirl70
I liked your question regarding how you keep yourself on track. I think the idea of a graph is really good especially if you are a visual person. You really got me thinking about how I can motivate and encourage myself in some kind of tangible way or journal to keep my record of my progress. Thanks for sharing this question. I don't have an answer, but I am going to think about it and see if I can come up with some answers.
@littleflutterby
Hi Tanya. I'm sorry you are battling with depression. I have a lot of experience with that. I think Covid makes everything harder too. My big hobby was volunteering at theaters and I really enjoyed it and of course I can't do much now under lockdown. Something simple like going to the mall or movies is not possible either.
I'm looking at different ways to relieve stress and depression. I'm listening to a lot of meditation music. Not even meditating but just having it in the background all the time. I am thinking of buying coloring books which I like to just zone out and relax.
I recently got an audio book from the library called "Love yourself like your life depends on it." So far, it is so simple, but the thing is this changed his life. He just repeated over and over again in his head "I love myself". I mean all the time. He looked the mirror for five minutes every day and said it and meditated for 7 minutes and said it and then the rest of the time too.
He went from depression and illness to feeling great in one month. I notice how many negative thoughts I have. Now I just pipe in "I love myself" when I hear those negative thoughts come out. Who knows? Maybe this works. I will try it.
Sending my love and good wishes to everyone!5 -

Congrats on not binging. Don’t get frustrated with the scale. You have had some big losses lately. Maybe your body is adjusting and the scale will move again.mari_moulin wrote: »@lindamtuck2018

I spent most of yesterday ordering things online. One more trip to the furniture store and we will have everything on that front. Only thing left are curtains and small items. My granddaughter is coming to help us today. I think packing and stuff should count for exercise.
I am off grocery shopping very soon. Will check in later for weights and any new posts.

I have hit my personal December goal early. I wanted to be under 170 lbs., by 12/31. I still have 30+ lbs. to go. It has taken me 3.5 months to get here. I'm really happy that I truly believed I could get here and beyond. I got here, and I'm going beyond!!

@lindamtuck2018 There is such a different feeling between over-eating and binging - I never used to distinguish between the two but there is power in not letting it slip to a binge. Pizza always adds a couple of pounds to the scale, for me, for a couple of days. I hope your appointment went well.

I could seriously not be any happier about weigh in this week. I reached my goal of being below 200 by the end of the year a couple of weeks early! Losing weight during the holiday season was something I thought was impossible in the past. I'm so proud of myself. I haven't seen a 1 at the beginning of my weight since I was 12. It's basically uncharted territory from here on out!6 -
