CAPTAINS REQUEST...
The Captains of Fat2Fit use the 'INSIGHTFUL' button to indicate when a weigh in has been posted to the spreadsheet. I don't think I made mention of this earlier in the month for the new members.
We love seeing reactions on the posts, but if you could, please don't use INSIGHTFUL on weigh ins. Feel free to use it on any other post.
Again, this is how the Captains (and Moderators when working tallies) make sure all weigh ins have been posted without physically having to cross check each one.
THANKS A BUNCH!!!!

With Christmas and New Year's around the corner, this is going to a rough time for me (and some of you too). There are so many food traditions we have that I will need to avoid or modify. I'm so stressed with it all.0

Good to see everyone in good spirits! I haven't forgotten you guys and will definitely jump back in January. Last two weeks have been ridiculously hectic with work and moving into our new apartment. I'm officially on vacation now until January 4th, I'm sleeping again (after 6 weeks of 3-4 hours per night it feels like a luxurious heaven to sleep 9 hours straight), we're in our new apartment and all boxes are unpacked. Today we're going furniture shopping and can hopefully find a lot of the stuff we need so we don't need to make multiple shopping trips. We have the old apartment until January 30th so we're not "officially" moved out until then, and there's still cleaning etc. to be done there. Once that's done and we've given away our keys, we can enjoy a few blissful days of absolute staycation in our new home.
There's a gym less than 200 meters away from our new home, and I'm already kinda looking forward to getting a membership there and getting active again.6 -

Haven’t posted the updated gym photos. We added some new equipment and the tech savvy hubby put the pics online for me! 😊

Haven’t used it much last week or this week yet as work is busy and the holidays approaching mean last minute shopping and baking. We need to finish the deadlift platform, but other than that, I THINK we can consider the gym complete. At least until we decide to expand it again (it’s up to 625 sq ft)2 -
@Dogmom1978 Wow that is impressive, Girl get down there and jam some music and workout!!!!! I wish I had more weight lifting equipment, we only have a half basement so treadmill, elliptical, heavy bag, free weights and bench is about all I can jam in there. I did splurge a year ago and got a Peloton Tread, so working on a mat area for Pilates, Yoga and lifting routines behind it.1

I have a bunch more space so we can expand more if we find deals on more goodies we want 😂😂.
My husband promised to start using the gym once the lifting platform is done, so I REALLY want to finish that. Totally selfish reasons for wanting him to lift again though. He’s super type A personality and he had a smoking hot body when he used to lift 😜1 -
QUESTION OF THE DAY
What is a recipe or food swap that you are planning during the upcoming holiday?0 -
I will make my oatmeal cream pies. Quaker Oats recipe for the cookies and a cream cheese filling. These sandwich cookies are a must at family gatherings and they might send me home if I didn’t bring them 😂1

QUESTION OF THE DAY
What is a recipe or food swap that you are planning during the upcoming holiday?
I have been thinking a lot about this!
Christmas eve is a huge unhealthy snack bar for my family. No chips/dip or meat and cheese platter this year, but we will have yummy crudités, homemade sourdough crackers and shrimp cocktail. Roast beef for sandwiches is part of the tradition too, but quite lean. Sliders instead of full buns for portion control. Healthier snacks can still achieve the vibe! No cookies pie or candy, homemade chocolate pudding cups with fresh fruit and nut toppings instead.
Christmas brunch: usually we have a super cheesy rich bacon filled italian egg bake and cinnamon rolls with cream cheese frosting. Its probably 1200 calories in one sitting... no way to that this year. We are having a bagel and lox platter / smoked salmon cobb salad situation instead. I like that I will be able to skip the bagel and cream cheese.
Christmas Dinner: swapping all cheesy, creamy sides for healthy roasted or sautéed veggie dishes. Keeping the traditional glazed ham and homemade soft rolls on the menu. Pudding again for dessert...we just want the chocolate fix 🤣

I am carrying over, I know I've been overdoing it, and quite honestly, I know I am gonna be overdoing it over the holidays LOL. Seriously guys, enjoy your fav goodies. This is the time to indulge in deliciousness!!!
Merry Christmas!!!2 -
To answer the question above - fav holiday memory... I have many but I remember this Christmas sleigh ride in a mall parking lot when I was around 7 years old. I saw the horses and I was like OMG! It was free and no one else was there, so my parents too my brother and I to it. We got an extra long ride. it was sooo fun. I can see it clear as day in my head, those beautiful horses and nothing but crunching snow from the hooves and silent air. It was AWESOME!!!
Great question by the way! Can't wait to read the answers!3 -

I'm happy with the small loss. I've been going to the gym but my eating has not been on par. It's a great feeling knowing that I am going into the new year having lost so much weight already and not saying again "ok, the new year is when I'll start". I'm going to keep going strong and bust straight through my goals!3 -

Merry Christmas All!!! ❤️🎄 I’m so sorry that I missed last week. Getting work sorted before the holidays was really stressful and even just trying to figure out what to do for the holidays was manic because the restrictions here in the UK have been changing every couple of days!! Needless to say I stress ate and over ate and over drank ALOT!! Taken some time to pause today and reset my intentions. Tomorrow is a new day ✨✨✨5
