One of the most common UAC member's concerns is the lack of quality sleep.
If you are working remotely, like I am, has your sleep quantity and quality improved or declined?6 -
I generally sleep well and COVID hasn’t changed this for me.
Morning run in the rain, daily yoga and abs before church (grateful to be one of the essential volunteers who gets to attend the closed service that is live streamed). Then a two hour walk at the beachfront with the new guy in my life. This did include ice cream and jumping in all the puddles I could find (gotta find some joy if I’m going to be that close to the ocean and not allowed to touch it (all beaches are closed here).
Having a not very hungry day so easily under calories even with the ice cream.7 -

The really insightful question of today!1 -
@Dory_42 Sounds like you, my dear, are enjoying your time with this new man in your life that you haven't put a label on the relationship. This meaning that you have not said that you are in a relationship. Learning to be friends first is how I could marry my husband of 31 years and married at the young age of 20. Enjoy having fun together!
I still struggle with sleep. It is not because I don't sleep well or that I can't stay asleep! It is more that I have some severe OCD and feel I have to be Superwoman and get EVERYTHING that I need to accomplish done in a single day! Learning to say to me, what can wait until another day and what MUST I do today? Sleep and prioritizing is the key! Then I can get the correct amount of sleep because I do need, want, and benefit more positively when I get the proper amount of sleep, and so do the people in my life who are around me!5 -

My sleep patterns have gotten so much worse (I wake up really early and can't fall back to sleep). I am really trying to work on it and I've been tracking it on my Halo. Last night I slept terribly and ended up taking a few naps, which might make tonight worse but I finally feel rested. Started playing rain sounds all night which has helped me some. It kind of muffles out some of the random city/radiator sounds.
Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Decided to take it easy today after all. (30 yoga + 30 min scenic ride)

I've never been a good sleeper since a small child. Nothing seems to make much difference but now that I live on my own (divorced 20 years) I can keep the radio on all night and that helps. Not quite the same as @Bovaryoo, my neighbourhood is very quiet but the low background sounds are somehow soothing. I listen to the BBC World service and it’s mostly talk radio. It relieves the stress of trying to get to sleep.

My sleep is terrible lately but it's nothing to do with covid. Having a newborn means waking regularly for feeds. Although the last few nights we have gotten 5 hour stretches so hopefully that will continue.
Today I did my usual 40 minute walk but also added in 15 mins post natal pilates and 10 mins on the stationary bike.
I also tracked everything and stayed within my calories.

I'm an OK sleeper. My natural circadian rhythm would have me going to sleep at 3am every day, and trying to conform to a more "normal" sleep schedule has been a lifelong struggle. The pandemic has made it a little better. I'm working from home now, so I can sleep in later since I don't have a commute.

One of the main reasons I wear a fitness watch is to keep track of my sleep. I am a night owl by nature. I purchased weighted blankets for my kids and I and find they do help. Sometimes - I only keep it on for half the night...and then kick it down. i also have found a heating pad on my feet when going to sleep really helps me. Wishing all who struggle better rest.
Love the pics summerskier! I have some too from our dusting of snow. ;D3 -
I've done all I can to keep my sleep habits in check but I have a 6' teen who is getting antsy and wakes up often at night. Four separate times yesterday, for example. He's not necessarily noisy but a mother's ear is ALWAYS highly tuned 😴 ➡️ 🤨 ➡️ 😴
In the meantime, he's learning to meditate. The pandemic is hardest, imo, on the kids.

There was also a fartlek run today with several hill sprints but I'm too lazy to parse out the walking steps from running steps. My watch has me at 12k+ steps for the day but I'm not counting those calories above. Again, laziness. Perhaps related to the above-mentioned sleep disturbances 🤷🏾♀️4 -
Forgot to report in...it's early - but I'm confident in saying yes x's 3. Went and ran around in the snow for 4,000 steps (had to drive an hour with kiddos to get to it - but I was determined..I call it snow therapy, lol). Way under calorie - so that's good. Going to aim for a full night of sleep. We'll see how it goes.5

Surprisingly, I sleep well considering all of the pandemic related ups and downs (work etc). I keep a pretty consistent bed time schedule during the week so that helps I think.
