One of the most common UAC member's concerns is the lack of quality sleep.
If you are working remotely, like I am, has your sleep quantity and quality improved or declined?

The really insightful question of today!

One of the main reasons I wear a fitness watch is to keep track of my sleep. I am a night owl by nature. I purchased weighted blankets for my kids and I and find they do help. Sometimes - I only keep it on for half the night...and then kick it down. i also have found a heating pad on my feet when going to sleep really helps me. Wishing all who struggle better rest.
Love the pics summerskier! I have some too from our dusting of snow. ;D

I've done all I can to keep my sleep habits in check but I have a 6' teen who is getting antsy and wakes up often at night. Four separate times yesterday, for example. He's not necessarily noisy but a mother's ear is ALWAYS highly tuned 😴 ➡️ 🤨 ➡️ 😴

In the meantime, he's learning to meditate. The pandemic is hardest, imo, on the kids.

There was also a fartlek run today with several hill sprints but I'm too lazy to parse out the walking steps from running steps. My watch has me at 12k+ steps for the day but I'm not counting those calories above. Again, laziness. Perhaps related to the above-mentioned sleep disturbances 🤷🏾‍♀️

Surprisingly, I sleep well considering all of the pandemic related ups and downs (work etc). I keep a pretty consistent bed time schedule during the week so that helps I think.

COVID hasn’t changed my sleep pattern much except that I don’t sleep as well the night before my weekly shopping trip

I guess I would have to say that working remotely has improved my sleep a little bit. Aging certainly does change our sleeping abilities for whatever reason. But not having to stress about getting into the office by a certain time has put less pressure on me. This year one of my actual changes is to NOT use an alarm clock. The kitties are good enough.

I am confused? Don't you live in Florida? Snow on the ground and a beautiful Sunflower in full bloom?
I am finding the older I am, that I don't need as much sleep as younger. I also find that I often get up before the alarm clock; however, I do NOT want to rely on myself yet!

I had to put in a good amount of time today on the treadmill! Since I was still awake last night until 4:30 A.M., I was texting my friend. She has a hard time right now with her husband, and the pandemic can do that to a relationship. She knows that I am usually awake crazy hours through the night! So I played therapist until the early morning and tried staying awake by eating sugary foods! A bad habit I used to rely on! I wrote it all down, but first thing in the morning, I logged all of what I ate into the food diary. Wow! That was an eye-opener! I had only 40 calories left for the day! This was NOT going to work! Happy to report problem corrected!

Exercised: Yes, 90 mins on the treadmill at 4.5 speed, and I actually jogged for a straight 20 mins and increased my speed from 3.9 back up to the 4.5 that I used to do! ( burned 912 calories!)
    Tracked: Yes
    Calories: Yes
    Pass Days: 2 left

Tonight in bed at 10 pm!
