Yesterday was a Pass Day, and today was a back on track day.
Exercise: Active exercise for 15 minutes. Active walking later in the day for 40+ minutes
Calories: Significantly under my calorie limit, the opposite of yesterday's relationship related eating excess.
    Tracking: good

I’m not the best sleeper but I don’t think the pandemic has made it any worse - I have been careful to ensure I go outdoors every day, exercise etc. But I’m not great at keeping off screens in the evening!

Exercised: Yes - two 40 min walks and 25 mins on exercise bike

    3 pass days used. Poop!!

My husband is in charge of making or ordering dinner 1 day/week. He ordered hamburgers for the family. He got me a turkey burger but I looked it up: it’s a 850 calorie bomb not counting the sweet potato fries it came with. Waaay over what I budgeted for dinner. And evening walk barely put a dent in the deficit. Sigh.

my neighbourhood is very quiet but the low background sounds are somehow soothing. I listen to the BBC World service and it’s mostly talk radio. It relieves the stress of trying to get to sleep.

When I was younger, I could never fall asleep if something had words in it but now I've fallen asleep with the TV going and I swear I've slept better.😹

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes barely. Had to get out in the snow... :D

If you are working remotely, like I am, has your sleep quantity and quality improved or declined
I guess I would have to say that working remotely has improved my sleep a little bit. Aging certainly does change our sleeping abilities for whatever reason. But not having to stress about getting into the office by a certain time has put less pressure on me. This year one of my actual changes is to NOT use an alarm clock. The kitties are good enough.

I am confused? Don't you live in Florida? Snow on the ground and a beautiful Sunflower in full bloom?
I am finding the older I am, that I don't need as much sleep as younger. I also find that I often get up before the alarm clock; however, I do NOT want to rely on myself yet!

Gina I am in Central Tx Austin. I have lived here since 91 and this is the MOST impressive snowfall (there have been others of course) that I have seen. Usually we get ice storms. And for the first time ever my work is closed today. Most I have seen is 2 hrs late start waiting on it to warm up. And yeah my neighbor had a gorgeous sunflower. Photo of the day and definitely worth getting out in the snow to see all the snow men and all the kids playing in it!

    Start weight, January 1, 2021: 132.0
    December 1, 2020 – 135.6

My calorie rule for January UAC
Defining, for myself more than anything, what is the definition of my daily calorie goal. For Oct and Nov, I used 1430 and not eating back exercise. December, I raised that to 1480 with no additional calories for exercise. For January, I am going to try a blended rule; either Food calories under 1480, or Net calories (ie Food minus exercise) under 1200. So, if my exercise burns less than 280 on a given day, there is no added calories. BUT, if I exercise more, I have the option additional food OR if I overeat, I have the option of exercising more to not use a pass day. This flexibility was not something I allowed in my previous rounds. Once I exceeded my goal calories, regardless of my exercise burn. Also, I am defining that I am using the MFP estimate for the caloric burn from exercise. I know I could get different numbers elsewhere, but I am going to use only the one source – good or bad.

*** Bad habits trying to creep in. Going to sit and track at least today, and hopefully next few days to re-set focus. Weight has still managed to go down so far this month, but I am not liking my diary/tracking trend from the past 3 days.

I think I missed posting yesterday - but I was good on all 3 counts so status doesn't change.

I'm fortunate that I don't have sleep issues. I'm usually in bed around 10 or 11 and up around 6. Occasionally I'll wake up and can't get back to sleep but that doesn't happen often. Not sure why I'm so fortunate.
