Had fun with the kids and a good roll with one of the brown belts at Jiu Jitsu which easily meet my exercise goal for this week. I’m back at work next week so not going to as much on the exercise side as work is active too, but the following week I’ll increase things to get closer to my normal routine. It was cold and rainy yesterday so I had multiple thoughts of not going to training but as a kids coach I can’t skip cos I’m feeling lazy and once I’m there it’s easy to stay for adults class.
Food was also a challenge as coffee with my friend turned into second breakfast but my schedule helped that as I had no options to eat between kids, adults and community group so after lunch I was done and stayed within my budget.4 -
June 2 and have to take a pass day. My husband cooked an amazing steak dinner and I enjoyed it guilt free. I tracked through the day but I know I went way over my calories at dinner. I did a treadmill walk to get some movement. I’m cooking tomorrow so should have no problem staying under the calorie budget 🤣6

I'm away from home on a short vacation and estimating calories is very difficult. I had an ice cream in the afternoon as well as dessert with dinner. I shall have to take a pass day.

One approach I learned from NOOM is “What is one thing you’d like to work on this week?”
A small, achievable, measurable thing.
I did this each week (sometimes repeating one until I got it solidified as a habit.
What do you think might help?
When I joined UAC in 2018, I already had tracking everything I ate & daily exercise as habits, so I focused on staying under my calorie goal. I broke that goal down to habits...
Sometimes that meant focusing on the timing of my meals, counting number of fruits & veggies, in treading no. Of fruits/veg, eating more mindfully, tracking sugar, cutting back on sugar, etc. Baby steps work

Exercise at least 20 minutes? Yep - short one mile walk with the dog (which is a combination of hurry up and wait with resistance training ) = 28 minutes; plus the walk to and from the bus stop which becomes "intentional exercising" when I up my normal schlep to something resembling a not-quite quick step.
