Today did not go how I planned. It was suppose to be salad for dinner tonight but it was cold today and I wanted something warm. So I had to go to the grocery store to buy stuff for the hike tomorrow and found these beauties. They remind me of Fredericksburg, TX and German feast. I miss home. Will make up for the bad food decisions tomorrow5 -
Hi everyone. Hope that you are all doing well. It's a rainy day here today. My daughter says hello to everyone. I got to go for a walk and I got to do some dancing after supper. Take care and stay safe.5

@Poobah1972
Sorry your back is still bothering you. You managed a great workout. You are not whiny as with constant pain you are not just dealing with the physical issues. It can be very tough mentally as we are limited in what we can do. I hope the weekend brings you some pain relief.
@shortyjmorgan1
I love smoked sausage. We don’t get it often but it is a treat. I don’t think there are any bad foods just have to eat things in moderation. Log it and move on to the next day.
@cormierannie
Dancing is a fun way to burn calories! Do you follow a dance video or just put the music on and dance? Hi to your daughter!
@Bluetail6
Lots of intensity minutes even on a rest day. All that movement pays off. I read your response to Megan about doctors. I never even think of the cost of doctors or test but we pay for it with long wait times for test and specialist.
@rwood566
Killer gym session!
@jayenguk
It’s pretty wet in my part of Canada today. Enjoy your gym time!3 -
Friday check in
❌ Steps 11k daily (steps and converted steps)
372/500 Zone minutes
✅ Stay within calories
✅ Track food accurately
Spent a pretty lazy day yesterday. I did a couple of mini walks of 5 minutes. I did have some back pain, numbness in my foot and leg pain yesterday. The true test will be grocery shopping today. Technically, I can get back in the pool at 5pm today as it will be exactly 48 hours but I may hang off until tomorrow morning. Tomorrow I am taking my granddaughter to a movie. I looked up the nutritional information of popcorn on the theatre’s website. Wow, it’s high in calories. I will be sticking to the snack pack tomorrow. Moderation!
Have a great weekend!

Good morning from Santa Fe! It’s another beautiful day here, blue skies, sun shining, a crisp 39 F right now.
So this weekend we will be doing chores: cleaning house, pulling weeds, stacking firewood as we get ready to go out of town Wednesday. We will see how this goes. Hubby has been quite ill off and on with his guts (or lack thereof - colon removed several years ago). He is in pain often and falls asleep most afternoons. Anyway, this morning when he gets up we are going to go to the farmers market to get an abundance of carrots to make carrot cake from scratch tomorrow to celebrate my birthday (which is on Wednesday). Yay! I plan to take leftovers to the office on Tuesday.

Weigh in day: Saturday
PW: 157
CW: 155 - this is where I keep getting stuck! Ugh.
I need to skip the next two weigh ins but will weigh in on Nov 6. I’m still thinking about my strategy while on vacation. I want to still try to track my food and limit my meals out when possible. I need to give this more thought.

Sorry I haven't been around this past week, was very busy week with Drs. Appointments and occupational therapy ( OT- is to work on my right shoulder to strengthen and hopefully relieve pain) and on both my hands ( which don't always want to work the way their supposed to) I have arthritis pretty bad throughout my body, so certain parts have trouble at times.
However, everything is working out and going pretty good overall. I plan to start checking in on a daily basis (unless I'm having a really bad day). I need the accountability and encouragement from reading how others are doing on here.
I need to get up the willpower to do the exercises that I'm able to do and start logging in my dairy every times I eat or drink something with calories.
Both of which I haven't been doing. Pretty much using my pain and disability as an excuse not to try doing any kind of exercise. I'm hoping to change this starting today.3 -
@Jpedno
Nice loss! It’s frustrating to get stuck at a number. Happy early Birthday! It is a good idea to have a strategy in place for vacation. I noted that you will be away for the next couple of weigh ins.
@888Angie888
Great day! I need you to give me a kick in the butt to get focused like you.
@Kitty2Kats
Awesome loss!

Traffic jam. Looks like we will have to wait a minute to go hike.

I chose one yesterday to do, to pick up where I left off, and it felt great to be dancing again. It was 36mins, and ended up being a great one too so I saved it!
Glad I mentioned it. What channel are you using?
It's called Inc Dance Fit2 -

I'm really happy with this because I've deliberately stopped tracking (I have checked a few things I wasn't sure on.)
As I'd mentioned several weeks ago, I'd been feeling burnt out on dieting. I think tracking every morsel for near a year is a big part of that. So, for this to be a sustainable lifestyle change for me, I feel like I need to trust in what all the logging has taught me and try just mindful eating. That's what I've mostly been doing and I'm so relieved it's working!
I still plan to log sporadically just to make sure I'm not slipping into underestimating, but I'm really hopeful I can rely on my training most of the time.
5 or 12 pounds to a healthy BMI for me - depending on if you count my extra half an inch of height or not6 -
Happy Saturday everyone! I'm at our beach house this weekend, so was able to take a nice 3 mile walk on the beach with my dog and daughter. It's perfect beach weather, cloudy but not raining, misty and fall-like. I love it. NSV - I really wanted to eat late-night treats last night, but I didn't, just a few too many shelled peanuts but otherwise I stayed on track. We are headed out soon to go to a brewfest in Newport, OR (my husband is a huge beer fan), but I'll just be walking around and looking at booths and drinking coffee.3

I really appreciate all the support. You all are awesome. I do need to be better about checking in because you all are very inspiring!
I’m trying to keep my NSVs in mind - it is getting harder though, because I feel like I’m going in reverse. It’s so frustrating. It’s even more frustrating when I know I can do, and have done, better.
I did try to do my laps this week during my planning periods, but I wasn’t able to on some of the days.
Last Saturday was nephew’s birthday party, and I made his cookie cake. I’m proud to say I only had one small piece, and no ice cream. Though I did eat a hotdog AND a hamburger, and 2 glasses of wine.
I do pretty well avoiding a lot of sweets - I make them (cakes, cookies, etc), but I make sure to only have 1, and then give the rest away lol. Wine and bread are my weakness though. I like to have a glass of wine when I cook (which is 3-4x a week), and then a glass or 2 at dinner. I can also eat my weight in bread, especially a baguette!
I am trying to be better, but I definitely have a long way to go. I’m just frustrated. I don’t know what else to say.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 : please disregard any missing steps.

10/9: 5,139

@Kitty2Kats
I will be happy to see you on the chat whenever you can. I a sorry you have so much arthritis pain. I was going to blow off my swimming today but your post has encouraged me to go. Let’s do this together.
@shortyjmorgan1
That is so cool.
@Tazaria87
Fantastic loss!
@Aqualang26
Awesome loss! You definitely have to make this lifestyle change work for you. Mindfulness is an important tool in weight loss. I like that you do log on occasion to make sure you are estimating correctly. Sometimes I wonder if that’s why I struggle in the fall every year. This is my third fall of calorie counting. It has to make you both excited and proud to be so close to a healthy bmi.
@MJ_Keto
Fall at the beach! I am jealous! That’s a great NSV.
@red1185
Nice loss! Keep trying to note those NSV’s. I don’t think we ever go backwards unless we stop trying.
@rwood566
I never think of using my slow cooker for a roast. You have a fun week planned next week.
@Bluetail6
Great solution to combat the urge to snack. Hope you got a good night sleep.
@jayenguk
Enjoy your gym session especially that swim! I am off to swim in a few minutes myself. I always think I am obsessed with weigh day too.
