Hello,
I am Kelly. I am a wife and mom of 4, ages 2 to 17!! They keep us busy. I teach Kindergarten. Like Kristi, this year has been insanely stressful. I workout to keep my stress levels down and have recently added in short daily meditations.
My November goals are
1. Log and keep it cleaning
2. Workout
3. Find a way to sleep. Between kids and work stress, my lack of sleep has gotten really bad.6 -
I am really behind in the chat but Happy Belated Birthday @ashleycarole86 and @Kali2255

@jugar starting weight was 90 k this past Friday. And yes I will stick to Friday weigh-ins.
It was good to take a month off. I maintained my weight but allowed myself treats and enjoyed. I focussed on getting back to a better mindset and I hope I'm ready. I have a big family wedding coming up in February and I'm using that as a motivator to stick to plan.
For those who don't know me, here's a short intro: I'm 39, in the UK, busy mum and wife and studying for a master's in mental health, which has taken quite a toll on me, but now I'm my last year, yey. I've been overweight/obese my whole adult life with some yo-yo dieting and now trying to do things moderately and long term. I've been with team waistaways for awhile now but have just taken a month break. Although I'm not very good at posting regularly, this group has been invaluable to me, with hugely inspiring stories.
Wishing you all much success on your journeys, and welcome!8 -
The day is winding down here - it has rained all day, I have a cold (luckily nothing worse!) from my trip and exposure to HUMANS so I am taking it easy.
Catching up on my steps and stuff -
Sunday - 12,743 steps, 20 minutes strength
Monday - 9145 steps and 30 minutes Pilates
Tuesday - 10,522 steps
Wednesday - 12,494 steps, 20 minutes rowing machine, 20 minutes strength (kettlebells)
Thursday - 7,933 steps, 15 minutes rowing, 20 minutes elliptical
Friday 10,803 steps
Saturday - 8,114 steps
Not a spectacular week, but for busy family visiting, not too bad.

Many of you are new - all you need to do is post your weight right here - at the top of your message, please, so it is easy for me to see it. If you do not remember your last week's weight don't worry! As long as I have the current one, all is well.
Any time you want to check on your progress and see how the teams are doing, the spreadsheets are kind of fun! There is always a link on our F2F home page, or you can bookmark it here:

The tabs on the bottom are for each team as well as the summary and weekly results. Go to WaistAways and there we are! There are several sections - as you scroll down you'll see first the active team, then the step/exercise team where @ashleycarole86 tracks our exercise for us, then the "support team" where you can go if you want to post and continue to be a member but need some time off from the weekly weigh-ins if you have an illness or any other kind of extended need for a break from weight loss. There is the Goal Zone where the team members who are in maintenance keep tracking to be sure to stay there. Have fun!3 -
Did anyone notice how well we did in October? We we NUMBER ONE for Week 4 and NUMBER TWO overall for the month!8

Also big congrats to @Kali225 for being the highest percentage lost in all of F2F for October. Wow girl!!!
Happy Halloween to all. I am sore today for some reason, I mean I suppose the reason is obvious on the surface but I can't think of one exercise session in particular that is to blame. I did a very restorative yoga practice first thing and then stuck to walking for the rest of the day. Getting an early night to bed.

Hooray for our team on a great month, especially @kali225, @bowens1973 and @ashleycarole86 !
Another busy day here with the kids doing movies, cookie decorating and some outdoor time too.
The spooky trail was a ton of fun but the adults definitely got their cardio in! Our field is probably 2 acres so lots of hiking things around and setting up. Covered the kids in glow sticks and sent them out on the candle lit trail. Lots of fun sneaking up on them. You could probably here them giggling for miles! Set up some fun ghosts in the field. The big one was 8 feet tall.
@KellyBgetsfit I use a sleep supplement from a company called hello ned. It's there CBD sleep blend. The thing I really like besides getting great sleep, is I can completely wake up in the middle of the night if my kids need me without feeling groggy. A must for me! I use it every night lately but before work got crazy I used it just at specific times like the week before my period when I didn't sleep well.7 -
I also started the next phase of my weight lifting. I procrastinated all day because I was worried about picking the right weight for 1-4 reps. It went fine so I don't know why I was so worried. Took about an hour and felt good to check ✔ it off the list today!5

I'm Katie, 33, living in the UK with my husband and our two cats. I work in IT, full time at home these days. I gained weight in my early 20s and this year had a really focused 6-7 months then lost some of that focus in August-October. I like running and weight lifting, but my more sedentary hobbies include cross stitch and currently I'm on a big decluttering kick!8

Been down with back issues the last two weeks. Finally broke down and went to doc yesterday, they gave me a steroid shot and put me on muscle relaxers. I truly hope this does the trick. Not being able to walk correctly without sever pain has truly put a stop to the amount of exercise I can get in daily.8 -

I'd not planned on seeing that '8' on the scales again. Luckily, today is a good 'reset' day for many reasons; it's a Monday, it's the 1st of the month, Kyle started his new job today so it's the beginning of our new routine.
Last week I think we had more meals out than we did at home and there was quite a bit of snacking but most importantly, no tracking. I saw my trainer, ran and walked, but I generally felt quite inactive so @ashleycarole86 I'd like to join the step challenge for November. I think a massive thing was not popping by to say hi, either, even if that's all I had time for, so I shall make sure you all get sick of me this month.
So far today I've; tracked everything I've eaten (and what I plan to eat later), been for two walks, and not drunk enough. My plan is to make a concerted effort to drink more, I've also dropped my calorie goal by 150 (down to 1500) to discourage snacking. It won't be difficult for me to get back on track, but the challenge is staying there. I'm aiming for a great November and then damage limitation in December, but will take it day by day.
It's weird working from home on my own. I'm sure I'll get used to it, but I don't know what Kyle's schedule will be like yet. The worst thing today has been not having the car; I sold a few things on eBay last night and the weather is awful. The first walk was to the post office before work to get some shipping boxes, then the second walk was in my lunch break to two shops to drop the parcels off. By some miracle, I stayed dry! We've really scaled back on the budget (OH has taken a pay cut) and have some expensive home improvement plans, so the little bit of extra income is great but so is the having-less-stuff.7 -

Happy Monday everyone! I entered my weight this morning before heading to cardiac rehab. After having been on activity restrictions for so long, those 3 workouts a week and evening walks with the dog have made a big difference. I am keeping my fingers crossed I get to return to work next Monday. My bank account would sure like that..lol. I guess my doctor is being over cautious to keep my heart from pooping out on me again. I am an ICU nurse and have a lot of heavy lifting in my job and hours at a time on my feet. It is hard work but I love what I do. While giving up bedside nursing may not be what I want, it might be time to consider it. When you almost die and are on a ventilator for a week you begin to reprioritize things in your life.
Hope everyone is having a good start to the week. Keep up the good job. We got this!
