4 days to go!! Let’s get in the groove now so Jan 1 is EASY❣️6

hahah.. I was waiting for @WhatMeRunning to start a topic but we don't need no stinkin' topic to get going! Great post @MadisonMolly20175

How embarrassing! ☺️ I completely forgot to post a topic today! Is it possible to blame it on excessive pass days?
To be fair, all I was going to do was remind people that we are ALMOST THERE! Only 3 days remain in December, and for that matter 2021! Let's wrap up this year TOGETHER!
With that in mind, what accomplishment(s) in 2021 are you celebrating?
I'm celebrating a loss of over 60 pounds after letting things go in 2019-2020. I also had the best overall blood labs in all categories in September since starting on my health back in 2007. I had a surprisingly great year and I'm looking forward to finding out what I can do in 2022, which will be very different out of necessity, with a new diet plan, and strength focused exercise. Pretty much flipping things completely around from the high-cardio keto oriented 2021.10 -

I think for 2022 that I am going to work my calories a little looser. I have always set a limit and tried to stay close but I think as long as I stay below 2k total that I can work within that limit a lot less rigidly.9 -

3 yes day!
2021 Accomplishments: published a book, it won an award, and then was named on a notable list. Established boundaries professionally AND personally. Lost 24 lbs, committed to at least listening to meditations, and took care of myself and so many loved ones. Feeling whole, healthier, and dare I say happy !!8 -
With 3 days to go I am 8.3 miles short of my 450 mile spin goal for the year there were a couple of slack months and a month of a OA knee flare that cost me but I will finish. I am down in weight to numbers I have not seen in a very long time about 10-15lbs to go and I will be very happy! I have also taken journaling more seriously and try to do so at least 4 times a week. I make sure to have me time for something fun.
I tracked I logged and I did spin. My kids also got me a great massage gun for Christmas and I used it this evening it was like heaven now I know why people pay for one!5 -
@FortLangston nice accomplishment on the book congrats what was it about do you mind sharing?
@TerriRichardson112 great work and kudos to you on the maintenance phase that’s the hard part or so I am told.4 -

As far as 2021 accomplishments I'd say that I've been able to maintain my weight in about a four pound range since around April. I'd still like to lose another 8lbs or so in 2022 but it's not absolutely imperative that I do so. If I can lose a few more inches via exercise that will work for me just as well.5 -

In 2021, I began realizing the program works even if you miss a day, even if you can't exercise, even if you can't resist the chocolate covered toffee one day and even if it at times it seems like it doesn't. It does...

Accomplishments for the year re: health
Lost 4.5 pounds - really 6.5, because I got a new scale in April that is 2 pounds higher. It's not a lot, but as my tagline says, slow and steady. I've been working on this weight loss thing seriously since May 2019 and have lost 26 pounds all together. As I approach my maintenance weight it is definitely getting harder.
As part of that effort, started tracking on MFP in February and joined UAC in September, both of which have been VERY helpful.
Since the world shut down in March 2020 I have been doing some flailing about how to get my basic needs for socialization, sunlight, exercise met on a routine basis so that I don't feel extremely depressed (settling for moderately, which I feel is maybe appropriate right now). I think early this year I found a routine that works, and have been able to keep that up and feel OK most of the time. The routine includes: planning my meals the night before, morning check in here, morning MommaStrong exercise, daily walk (sometimes with a friend), phone calls with family and friends a few times a week.
The only exception being when my autoimmune thyroid condition is in a flare, which happened a few times for a few days, which I can handle, but happened in April-May for 6 weeks, triggered by the COVID vaccine. When it's a flare I feel awful and I need 9 hours of sleep a night instead of 7.5 and that time means I don't have time for the little things that keep me sane (also I don't have energy to want to do them). I still need to figure out how to keep myself feeling OK in that situation - I think I will need to take medical leave from work next time that happens.4 -

Are you saying you’ll set a 2K weekly or monthly plan?1
