I haven't been out of the 310-320s in months so it's nice to see a 30-- something. Last month I tried to stay on plan and had a big loss.... then I went on vacation mode like a week before I went to Texas for the weekend. then it was Christmas... I let everything slip.
But this week I planned all my dinners and I sent Gael to the supermarkets with a grocery list. Just to set myself up for success as much as possible! I have been moving more too but my knee has been bad the last couple of days so couldn't do as much as I wanted
Steps so far this week
2/1- 7134
3/1- 13315
Have a good day all!
That is a great weight loss! I hope your knee feels better soon. I have bad knees as well, but they are getting better the more I move. At least I keep telling myself that lol1 -
Just got back from a 95 minute walk....4.07 miles and burned 510 calories .. I have come to the conclusion that I do not like afternoon walks ... I love my early morning walks so tomorrow we will be walking at 6am looking forward to it4

Thank you so much1 -
Good evening everyone. Check in for 1/4:
Steps - 7718.
Calories - 1750 or so. Unfortunately 600 were salted popcorn at the movie.
Exercise - did a hike at the park with daughter. I finally made it all the way around the trail circuit. Long uphill at the beginning, steep downhill in the middle then another long uphill back. It didn't seem as long on the uphills now that I am in good enough shape.5 -
@Megan_smartiepants1970 l like early morning walks too. When the world is still fresh, and calm and there’s less folk about. It sets me up for the day1

Good morning team and happy hump day. Sorry about not checking in often. Today is my rest day as its the day my youngest stays home and we have several appointments scheduled this day. (No school on Wednesday’s for elementary schools in France). So right now I did a lot quick clean up downstairs then gonna go get ready for the day and head out. I am still sticking to my IF schedule and have done 2 work outs so far this week. My oldest son (17 yrs) asked me to help him start a training program so I started that with him yesterday too.
Yesterday I received my new air fryer which I have been anxiously waiting for. I made chicken wings and they came out so good. I’m going to need to find some good recipes me to try.

Super loss! Don’t over due it on your knee as you don’t want to be totally laid up.
Thanks hun!
Yes I'm trying to take it easy on days off because this work week is insane and I'm already limited with my movement when I'm doing my job. Thankfully workers comp finally filed my claim from JULY and they said I can get physio! So I'll make an appointment for next week!
I made an appointment to start one on one physio in the pool. It’s a little more expensive than regular physio so my insurance will run out pretty quickly. The good thing is that it’s the same price no matter how long you are there. This should go good with the help I am getting from the arthritis society.3 -

25 miles/2022 miles
Feast day bloat from New Years Eve. Trust me it was epic. No worries, back on track. Still have some treats in the house as I did bake and make too much. It is in the freezer so It is not as accessible. Drove for the first time since surgery. It went alright. Saw my dermatologist. My vasculitis looks to be stable. She says that the likelihood that my tumor actually was what was causing my vasculitis issues. I can see that because tumors can make all sorts of weird things happen but I have had these type of rashes before. So I am not worried we will handle life as it is given. I have only been taking the nerve blockers at night to sleep and really nothing but compression during the day.
Using my recumbent for light exercise. 6.5 miles a day. So far so good this year
You have a great start to your 2022 goal. Good news on your health issues.sweetlady9783 wrote: »Happy Tuesday!
Today was pretty good. I slept well... Finally. I went back to work today and it wasn't so bad. Tomorrow the kids come back to school. The school district here says all staff has to go back to wearing masks, but the kids parents can do the whole opt out thing. I just hope Covid doesn't make everyone sick. Our whole front office staff was out sick today.
I worked out with a YouTube video today. I recommend a channel called "Body Project". They have LOTS of videos with varying degrees of difficulty. I usually do the low impact all standing videos. They have some that are 60 minutes or even 20 minutes if your short on time.
I hope everyone had a great day!
Isn’t it great to get a good nights sleep. My husband went back to work yesterday and several people are out with Covid. Stay safe at work. I am going to check out the channel. I am trying to find something I can do while sitting.Megan_smartiepants1970 wrote: »Just got back from a 95 minute walk....4.07 miles and burned 510 calories .. Awesome walk! I know I prefer swimming first thing in the morning. Enjoy your morning walk!Good evening everyone. Check in for 1/4:

You slayed the hill! 👏👏👏 I bet that felt good. Does your weight go up after salted popcorn?3 -

Getting back into things after the holidays can be tough. Are you able to use the gym or pool? Set one goal to work on this week and then slowly build on that. Sometimes we can overwhelm ourselves by trying to do too many things at once.Pippin20206 wrote: »Daily check-in

You are doing so good with your steps. As I been puttIng away things under the tree I keep finding goodies like chocolate and it’s so tempting. There are so many calories in Lindor chocolates and it doesn’t take long to eat a bunch.3 -

It’s nice to see all green. Yesterday at the pool I did 43 minutes but it was more working out than swimming laps. I did 2 mini walks walks also. I am aiming to get 4 done today. I don’t like that the calorie burn for walking is way less than the pool. Yes, I am pouting! I decided to go to a new physio therapist for my back. This one offers physio in a therapeutic pool. We will see how it goes. I am still going to work with the arthritis society physiotherapist. I have lots of housework to do today as I am behind. I have to go fix a friends printer also. I know, I am so good at following doctors orders. 😂
Happy Hump Day!5 -

Hi folks, I think I’ve done a me description already but I’m wondering how many of you, just like I used, looked at strength exercising for a challenge and said
NOT FOR ME.
I used to say that because to me strength training meant muscles a lady didn’t want.
Cardio was my go to and still is my favourite especially on light dry days when I can either wander in the countryside or along the shore in the early morning when the world is just waking up and it’s calm and peaceful and I can just let the quiet ripple of the water and the calls of the birds wash over me.
HOWEVER, I’m older now and mum’s older still and the demerits of not doing strength exercises are beginning to dawn
Strength exercises for the wrists, arms and fingers are important for
Lifting plates from the shelf (mum keeps looking for lighter crockery because what we’ve used for years feels too heavy now)
Opening the jam jar or the disinfectant bottle.
Lifting the shopping into and out of the car
Pushing the shopping cart 🛒
Pushing your rolator
Strength for the arms, shoulders, back and legs to
Push your partners wheelchair if the need arises
Just get about the house and garden
Get in and out of your chair or bed.
Maybe because I share my home with mum I can see a different perspective on what strength exercises may be for.
I wish I’d thought more about it when gran was ageing but when you’re younger you don’t think, do you?

Good Morning, Downsizers! Here's my daily check-in and weekly weigh-in:
PW: 171.6
CW: 171.6
SW: 250
1/4:
Calories: 1,195
Exercise: 80 minutes elliptical and a 15-minute stretching class
Steps: 12,660
I hope you are all having a great day - I will stop back later to read everyone's posts!4 -
@Lessennan it has been about 30 years since I have been this weight and health. Even though my weight trip is almost over I have a ways you go for my health and stamina. It will be fun doing some things after so long.
@lindamtuck2018 normally my weight goes up with salted popcorn. Today it didn't. Maybe my body needed that salt to replenish it.
@tslose I am there with you on the mindless snacking. We had 2 candy canes on the tree and neither got packed away. When I get water I have been grabbing snacks off the table. It is finally clear of snacks.
@Megan_smartiepants1970 morning walker here as well, but the 🌞 has to be up first. Grats on your walks that early.
